This depends on the size of the file and how good your internet connection is, I fine it's never normally more than 5 mins. Hope this helps

I don't know what type of internet connection you have but it literally takes 1-2 hours to update for me!

The pets expansion had other updates which took 10 mins max but then I have a feeling this is the last update and it has taken over an 1 hour to get to 18% this is taking too long.

Uhh for me it took 10-25 minutes, but it depends on your size. I have NOTHING at the game because I uninstalled and reinstalled so..
And it depends on your memory size or internet

Took me four hours. But when it got to 100% I had left the room, (I left at about 95%) Came back and it was at 2% arrrgh, can anyone help?

the last comment person, thats exactly what it did to mine and then because it restarted the update after it had got to about 98% i cancelled the update hoping it would be okay but NO, it is making me do it all over again and fgs all i wanna do is play the game!, it is going so slow aswell.:(Guest answered:
5 minutes. Should not take long. 4 hours is a joke & I think it could only take this long if you have heaps of crap on your hardrive! I feel sorry for you though.

I started updating mine at 8:30 last night and left my computer on over night I woke up this morning. 7:30, to find it still hasn't installed and is stuck on 99%!!!!!!

Takes forever 4-8 hours, even on my laptop. Nothing but sims, iTunes, and Microsoft office on the hard drive. The computer is less than a year old. It's ridiculous
