Try the Alchemist store or find a mountain lion and kill it and you will get the lion pelt.
It doesn't have to be a lion pelt it can be bear or wolf pelt. If you haven't done the first quest for the fighters guild yet do it you kill moun0tain lions in it so theres some. But to answer the question I'm not entirely sure if you can buy pelts try the imperial city.
You can buy one from the copious coinpurse i think
i cant find lion pelt where do i go
Go to google, look up fighters guild mission, "lions in the basement" I killed about 10 lions in that mission. I was leval 2 only
Try the fighters guild. You kill lions and get the pelt and you don't have to spend a penny.
If you join the mage guild do the reccomandation quest for avil.. I think but the quest is a lady with rats in her basement go to the basement and youll find a mountain lion with a lion pelt if not continue quest to find more piece o cake.
I had a run in with a few lions a bit west of fort sutch it's a good place to hunt for them
The castle in bravil, to the left of count regulus terentius, in the corner, open glass counter (2nd door from the right). Viola bitch.
