Question for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
1) while training up merchantile do you have to buy stuff or just make an offer on items, eg. If I offer to buy something with like 80% off will that raise my merchantile skill or do I have to make an offer they accept?
2) when I get 75 merchantile how do I invest into a shop, can you invest in all the shops or just certain shops?

Sell your goods at an offer the shopkeeper accepts, same when buying stuff.
That will raise your lvl but pretty slowly.
When you eventually reach expert I think you just go into a store and talk to the shopkeeper to invest your money. (all that happens when you invest your money is that the shopkeeper has more to barter with.)
Also not sure whether you can invest in certain stores or all of them.
