halo 3 odst
I have halo 3 odst and it doesnt have the orriginal halo 3 campaign does this meani can't get the katana, the security helmet, and all the vidmasterchallenges?

Well it is a different game, so yes. ODST doesn't feature any findable skulls (even though you get them all at the start.) and doesn't feature Spartan/Elite Unlockable armour. You can unlock multiplayer armour based on the other people you play as in ODST.

Unless you do not get the campaign disk to Halo 3, you cannot unlock all the armor, the katana, or do the one only Vidmaster challenge that deals with the campaign, which means no Recon armor for you either.
