The answer to this question is rather difficult because while there IS a large player base for Black Ops even now, the population fluctuates.
It is fair to say that there will be more on weekends than on week days, but it is also fair to point out that a LOT of them - the vast majority really - are made up of groups of mates who are playing the game together and who came there specifically TO play the game as a group.
What we suggest is that you join a clan and play in their group play - that always works best for us.
