3. Introduction to Ninja Gaiden [introng]
////////////////////////////////

Ninja Gaiden is the long awaited game for the Xbox System. When it was
announced this game would come out for the Xbox, old Ninja Gaiden fans
rejoiced. Ninja Gaiden is possibly one of the most difficult games of all
time, and you will probably break several controllers in frustration when you
get your ass handed to you by the aggressive AI.

////////////////////////////////
4. Primary and Projectile Weapons [wepfaq]
////////////////////////////////

Dragon Sword - The dragon sword, carved out of the fang of a dragon, is one of
the most powerful blades ever known. Its true power can be achieved by fitting
a stone made of dragon's eye into the base of the sword. The Dragon Sword is
your default weapon, and when you upgrade it to level 2, you get a deadly move
called the Flying Swallow. Upgrade to level 2 as soon as you can (I believe in
Chapter 3 you can upgrade it).

Lunar - This is an additional weapon that was added to Black, and it downright
kicks ass. It is basically a staff at level 1, and at level 2&3 it becomes a
metal staff and can decapitate. It has nice range, is pretty damned powerful,
and it is extremely quick, so you are able to preform high powerful combos
with it.

Nunchaku - The nunchaku are a very weak weapon, capable of performing high
combos due to its lack of power. You start out with these in your inventory.
I can guarentee you wont be using these much.

Vigoorian Flails - These are like the nunchaku, but with blades attached on
the end of each flail. They are a lot more powerful than the nunchaku, and are
useful in many situations. They are found under the monestary before the alter
room. Just to clarify, the Dragon Sword is a by far better weapon.

Wooden Stick - Weakest weapon in the game. Do not even use it before you
upgrade it fully. Once you do that, it becomes...

Unlaboured Flawlessness - The most powerful weapon in the game by far. It is
pretty much of big tree you're swinging. You can pretty much take out any
enemy with this sucker. Also, when you get to 5 percent health, the runes on
it will begin to glow, and it's power is so much that you'd think you're
swinging the LOG OF DOOM! You get this when you upgrade the wooden sword to
level 7.

Dabilahro - A pretty nice heavy weapon, when fully upgraded. It can take down
enemies almost as effectively as the UF. You get it for giving Muramasa 20
scarabs I think. I'm pretty sure.

War Hammer - You get it after you defeat Alma, go back into the monestary and
dig around the rubble near the alter. This is probably the worst weapon in the
game, and is nigh useless.

Kitetsu - You get this weapon after you defeat Doku in Chapter 11. It is one
my personal favorite weapons, and it is pretty damned powerful too. The only
downside is that it slowly drains your life, but this can easily be countered
by giving Muramasa 40 scarabs and getting the Armlet of Tranquility. You can
also use it to suck the life out of people. Woo!

Dark Dragon Blade - Aquired in successive play on Chapter 13 in Muramasa's
shop in Hayabusa village, it is one of the most powerful weapons in the game.
It glows purple, which owns in itself, and it's incrementaly faster than the
Dabilahro and UF. Pretty nice in my opinion.

***
Projectiles
***

Shuriken - You start with them in the game. They are weak, useless, and are
only good for cancelling your long combos. I use them sometimes on bats, but
that's it.

Windmill Shuriken - Aquired in Chapter 4 by walljumping, it is a nice weapon.
It is like a big shuriken, and it can decapitate. It also returns to you.

Incediary Shuriken - Very useful, though limited ammo. It is basically a
single shuriken that has an explosive attached to the tip. Nice for use on
smaller common enemies.

Bow and Arrow - Your basic bow and arrow, nothing too special. It's pretty
strong actually.

APFSDS Cores - Armor Piercing Fin-Stabilized ? ?. They have big tank-explosive
cores attached to the end. They pack one hell of a punch. Nuff said.

Explosive Arrows - Slightly downgraded APFSDS cores. Not too much to say about
them.

Smoke Bombs - These blind an enemy for about 2 seconds. Can be considered
pretty useless, but are helpful in some situations.

////////////////////////////////
5. Basic Tips and Hints [tiphint]
////////////////////////////////

- Patience. I cannot stress this enough. This entire game requires so much
patience it's unbelievable. I've broken many controllers just battling bosses,
and even regular enemies. You need to remember that this is not a run and gun
game, you will need to back off every now and then.

- Do NOT mash buttons. This is not a button masher, not even close. You will
need to know how to time your combos and you need to know how to do them.

- Ninpo. Use it. Aside from being extremely powerful, it gives you temporary
invincibility while you cast it. This is invaluable at times, especially
during the Alma fights, along with a lot of other boss fights.

- Block! Roll! You should ALWAYS roll! It proves invaluable when you are
surrounded by enemies. Most enemy attacks can be blocked.

- Always use counter attacks, they are extremely useful when you are
surrounded by enemies and need to take them out pretty quickly.

- Use what you have. You wouldn't believe how useful a single wall can be when
you need to take down enemies fast. Wall attacking is one of the easiest and
most powerful moves to pull off.

- Make sure you're filled on elixers most of the time. Especially on your
first playthrough. When I first played the game, I was stocked up on items
24/7 because I never knew when a boss would come out and grind me into dust.

- Use different weapons in different situation. That's why you have a choice
of weapons. Having trouble with ghost fish? Use flails. Annoying bats? Just
hit em with a few shuriken. Use upgraded heavy weapons when fighting tough
enemies, as heavy weapon counter attacks are very poweful and usually kill in
one hit.

////////////////////////////////
6. Ninpo Overview [ninpover]
////////////////////////////////

Art of Fire Wheels - The first ninpo you aquire. You get this in Chapter 2,
and it's pretty much useless. The best thing it can be used for is ghost fish
in the latter chapter, as it renders you completely invulnerable to them.

Art of Inferno - I also get this in Chapter 2, but it's your choice. It's 1000
essence at Muramasa's shop, and is well worth the buy. It can be upgraded to
level 3, and it probably the best ninpo you can use. It also has a long
casting time, which means longer invulnerability.

Art of Inazuma - An electrical based ninpo, and it is my favorite ninpo. It
can also be upgraded 3 levels, and is the best ninpo in my opinion, since it
strikes everything in the area around you with a powerful blast of electric
currents, usually killing them, or bringing them to their knees in agony.

Art of Ice Storm - Pretty much the worst ninpo aside from firewheels. All it's
good for is racking up combos. It pretty much surrounds you in a spinning
tornado of ice shards. Only things that touch you are really affected. It can
be upgraded 3 levels.

Boss FAQ [bossfaq]
////////////////////////////////

---
Boss - Murai
---
Japanese Steroids FTW!

Attacks: Basic nunchaku combos, 2 types of grabs, lunge attack.

Strategy: Murai can be easy or difficult for first time players, depending on
how well you know how to block and roll now. Most of this fight you need to
hold block and roll away from Murai. Really, just hold block and roll away
from him. Murai will be attacking most of the fight, trying to hit you with
basic nunchaku combos. But if you block, these shouldn't touch you. His grabs
though, hurt like hell, so never let him get to close to you. What you want
him to do is his lunge attack. He will charge up for a quick second, then
dash towards you with a powerful attack. To lure him into doing this attack,
get close enough to him that he swings his nunchaku, and when he swings about
3 times roll away. That should make him lunge. As soon as he lunges, block or
roll away. As soon as he finishes the attack, hit him with a good combo. I
recommend a simple XXXX or XXXY. Repeat, and he should be dead pretty quickly.

Overall Difficulty: 1/5, 3/5 for beginners.

---
Sub-Boss - Archer/Pike Horsemen
---
Attacks: Archer horsemen will shoot arrows at you, and his horse can rear up
and damage you. Pike horsemen can headbutt you with his horse, stab you with
his spear and drag you around, then throw you for massive damage, rear up his
horse for damage, and stab you with his spear.

Strategy: These can be extremely annoying, especially for beginner players.
My strategy would probably to make sure you have a few elixers if you need
them, and to purchase Inferno ninpo from Muramasa before this fight. I suggest
to go for the archer first, mainly because it's annoying to have to attack
the pikemen, only to have an arrow shot through you back. If you want to use
your sword, back up into a corner and attack the archer as he rides by, just
make sure to watch out for the pikemen so he doesn't ram you and stab you. I
recommend using your inferno ninpo though. To take down 2 horsemen at once,
let the archer get right next to you and cast your ninpo, he should be burned
and will fall off his horse, then make sure you aim your control stick at the
other horsemen, and the fireball should make him fall off as well. Kill them,
and repeat. If you find yourself with two pikesmen, take out your bow and
arrow and shoot them in the head for an instant fall-off.

Overall Difficulty: 1/5, 2.5/5 for beginners.

---
Boss - Makasado (Samurai Horsemen) & Mages
---
Oh noes! The cavalry are here!

Attacks: Mages will shoot energyballs at you from a distance, or come in close
to pull off a damaging combo. The horsemen has the same attacks as a pikesmen,
but do much more damage.

Strategy: I suggest taking out the mages first, and using their yellow essence
to use a UT, and their blue essence to fill up your life. There are 10 mages
on the easier difficulties IIRC, and they are pretty easy to defeat for nice
essence boosting. After they've been taken care of, the samurai horsemen is
all your's. A cheap and easy way to beat him is to back up against the door he
came out of, and every time he comes near you run up the door and come down
with Y. Should knock some off his health bar. Just make sure you hold block
after you come down.

Overall Difficulty: 2/5, 3-4/5 for beginners.

---
Boss - Dynamo
---
It's the Pillsbury Dough Boy! Well, sort of. The good ole dough boy doesn't
have titanium armor and a laser cannon.

Attacks: This guy has few attacks, but the ones he does have are very very
painful. He can charge up his laser cannon and shoot you with it. Or if you
get too close he will try and punch you, or grab you and shock you, then he
shoot you from his hand with his laser cannon. Weee!

Strategy: Though he's big, he's a real pushover. If you have the Level 2
Dragon Sword, (and you damn well better!) just spam him with the flying
swallow, and block immediately afterwards. Don't know what the flying swallow
is you say? Jump forward and press Y. Yep, that's it. There isn't much to say,
just spam him with flying swallow and block and roll. Maybe throw in a few
combos if you can.

Overall Difficulty: 1/5, 2/5 for beginners.

---
Boss - Tentacle Fiend I
---
People seem to have trouble with this guy, when he's really a big loveable
mass of tentacle waiting to be sliced and diced.

Attacks: He swings his tentacles around, or he jiggles them. Kind of
disturbing, but nothing too bad.

Strategy: Once again, you better have the level 2 Dragon Sword. From now on,
I'll assume that you do. Just flying swallow a tentacle a few times, and it'll
fall off. Do the same for the other, and the eyes all around his body will
open. They're practically saying, "Stab me!". Just unleash all the combos you
can while they're open. His tentacles drop essence when cut off, so use that
for a UT if you want. You need to cut off his tentacles and slice him about 3
times to kill him, and to make him spit our poor Rachael out!

Overall Difficulty: 1/5, 2/5 for beginners.

---
Boss - Fiend Ryu (Using the True Dragon Sword)
---
Yeah, you fight yourself in Fiend form! Woohoo!

Attacks: Pretty much everything you can use at least once in the game.
Remember, you can do whatever he can do, but he has more powerful weapons...
He also uses Inferno Ninpo.
Strategy: I have no strategy, I just did a bunch of random attacks and got in
combos where I could. Instead, I've gone hunting through the GameFAQs forums
for good strategies that kind souls have let me use.

Magx's strategy: "Well before you all say "get some skill" I kicked his ass
the "proper way" a few times before I did this....I just got frustrated with
his Fireball usage when he gets low on health so I decided to try and punish
him....it worked.

Basically, you cannot hit him when he's down, and if you're blocking when he
stands up, he rolls away. So I did this: knock him down with Izuna Drop, then
after landing, wait for him to get uop, but DO NOT block...now, time it so
that he stands up and starts an attack animation, then Izuna Drop his ass
again before he gets off the attack. Rinse and Repeat."

Guard100's Strategy: "Hes real easy after you get used to him. Fun too.

Shurikens can throw him off a little bit sometimes. Dragon Sword is best
probably, try to get a XYXXX combo on him, finish with an izuna drop or a
regular slash. This probably will do the most damage, 3-4 of these will
finish him.

Learn to dodge your moves too... and always block, since he throws just about
everything at you.

Also, notice that he can dodge your Ninpo by rolling into it. He is your clone
so that means you can do the same thing. If he does Ninpo, either counter it
with Ninpo (BUT he will do the same alot of the time, and he doesn't have a
limit from what i've seen) or roll directly into it. If you roll into it when
the fireball is coming at you, you won't take damage, same as he does."

Overall Difficulty: 2/5, 3/5 for beginners.

---
Boss - Bone Dragon
---
Can you say, "Prehistoric Pwnage"? Yeah, this guy's a bag o bones, and when
you're finished with him, you'll be picking your teeth with them!

Attacks: This guy has few attacks, but they're pretty damaging. If his back
foot is on the ledge, he'll either stomp on you if you get too close, or he'll
get up and swing his tail back and forth, which killed me far too many times.
If he's on his front foot, then he'll try to either swipe at you, which is
easily dodged. Whichever kind of foot he's on though, he'll spit big bones at
you which can be blocked or rolled under. Oh, he will also randomly try and
bite you, resulting in massive damage. Mash buttons and rorate your control
stick to stop the attack quicker.

Strategy: Your aim here is to break all of his feet. Yep, break em good. When
he puts up his front foot, use the simple XXXX or XXXY combo if you want. You
can usually fit in about 2 of those before he starts spitting bones at you,
after he finishes spitting, go back to slicing. If he has his back foot on the
ledge, you need to be more cautious. Yes, keep comboing him, but watch out for
his tail. When that thing starts swinging, either roll under it, right on the
edge before you fall off, or get to the middle and jump over it both times.

Overall Difficulty: 2/5, 3-4/5 for beginners.

---
Sub-ish Boss - Tentacle Fiend II
---
Yep, this damn mass of tentacles is back, with a SMIDGE more power than the
last time you fought him. Use the strategy for the first Tentacle Fiend above.

Overall Difficulty: 1/5, 1/5 for beginners (Since you fought him already)

---
Boss - Alma I
---
Yep, she's purple, she's badass, she can float, and she has.. Golden
unmentionables?! xD

Alma is my specialty, so I'm just going to copy and paste from my own
unpublished Alma Guide! Dun dun dun dunnn!

Be wary, it's long, I go very in depth for Alma.

Alma is very hard to some, and extremely easy to others. It all depends on how
well you an memorize her attack patterns and how to evade them, as well as how
to come up with your own combo right after.

Let me list her attacks, and the easiest way to avoid and follow up with your
own attack.

HER ATTACK: There is no way to block this attack without taking damage. Her
infamous grab move. What happens you will hear a kind of mystical array of
notes in the backround, and you will see an illuminate green circle on the
ground. If you move into this circle for a split second, she will pull you
up into the air, have her way with you, and throw you back down for so much
damage it's unbelievable.

EVASION AND FOLLOW-UP ATTACK: This is probably one of the easiest attacks to
dodge, or the hardest. Simply roll out of the way of the green circle. It's
only there for a few seconds, so 2-3 rolls should do it. There's really no
way to attack Alma after she does this, so wait until she does one of the
attacks below.

HER ATTACK: There is no way to block this attack without taking damage. She
will throw 2 sections of the surrounding pillars at you for an astounding
amount of damage.

EVASION AND FOLLOW-UP ATTACK: This attack is pretty predictable, she will
usually float up in the air and wave her arms a bit. You can block this
attack, but you will still take some damage. Use the rolljump technique to
evade this easily. As soon as she launches the first pillar, rolljump. Almost
guarenteed safety if executed correctly. She is vulnerable right before this
attack, but it is hard to hit her and knock her down. You can deal her damage
though, but you better rolljump as soon as you stop attacking her or prepare
to get nailed with pillars.

HER ATTACK: You can not block this attack without taking damage, but it will
lessen it. She will charge up for a quick second, then unleash 4 purple
energy balls at you. Simple.

EVASION AND FOLLOW-UP ATTACK: This is pretty much self explanitory. Roll
quickly, then jump. From now on this will be referred to as the rolljump
technique, remember that. Using that technique should guarentee that you
get hit by none of the balls. Usually while she is charging up this attack,
or immediately after you dodge, she is a bit vulnerable. Use a flying swallow
and see if you can hit her, if you do. Good! She will be knocked down and you
can unleash any combo you like on her. I recommend using the simple XXXY
combo with the Dragon Sword.

HER ATTACK: This attack can be blocked without taking damage. THIS IS THE
BEST ATTACK. If you get to close, or if you try and flying swallow her and
miss, she will attempt to stomp you into the ground. Not terrible damage, but
enough.

EVASION AND FOLLOW-UP ATTACK: BLOCK THIS ATTACK! This is the attack you want
her to do the entire match. You can block this attack and usually perform at
least 2-3 combos if you pull it off correctly. Seriously. Flying swallow her
and TRY TO MISS to et her to use this the entire match.

HER ATTACK: This attack can ALSO be blocked without taking damage, and you
have a great chance of knocking her down. If you get too far away and she
doesn't throw pillars at you, she will swoop down at you from the air.

EVASION AND FOLLOW-UP ATTACK: You can flying swallow her in the middle of the
dive, and chances are it will knock her down. Perform several combos after
that. Also, if you don't use the flying swallow, you can block her when she
hits you without taking damage, then you can perform combos on her.

***
Tips and Hints on Alma
***

- Alma is very offensive, always be patient during this battle. If you want
to switch positions with Alma, eg you be on offensive and her defensive, then
use the last 2 techniques above to your advantage. You can beat Alma on
normal in less than a minute doing that without losing any health.

- Do NOT rely on the flying swallow, or if you do, and she blocks it, hold
block afterwards because chances are she's going to stomp you into the
ground. After you block it, unleash a torrent of pain and fury upon her.

- If you're not too good at dodging and rolling when she throws pillars and
tries to grab you, then use Ninpo. It doesn't matter, inferno or fire wheels.
You are invincible while you charge ninpo, mainly inferno, so execute a ninpo
if you aren't good at dodging her more damaging attacks.

- Once you have her attack patterns down, she is hands down one of the easiest
bosses in the game. I'd have to say the boss on Chapter 2 is harder than Alma.

- Once again, be patient! Do not get frustrated during the battle, or you will
lose for sure. Alma has a way of frustrating people, and I have several broken
controllers from my first encounter with her to prove it.

Woo, how'd you like that piece of hunky Boss FAQ? I sure did! Seconds please!

---
Sub-Boss - 2 Tanks
---
Yeah boy, tanks! You hate em, wish they would 'splode, and a bunch of other
stuff I'm not able to mention.

Attacks: Ouch, not many attacks but they are hella painful. The tank cannon
will shoot you with big esplodey things, which damage you a lot, and the
gunner on top of the tank will shoot you non-stop wit machine gun fire. Also,
if you get too close to the tank it will try and run your ass over!

Strategy: Don't worry, you don't fight two at once, but these still are
extremely hard. Start off by rolling and jumping out of the way, because as
soon as the cutscene ends the tank will try and shoot you with a big exploding
thing... Pull out any type of arrow and go into first person. Quickly pop the
gunner on top of the tank in the head, and he will retreat inside the tank
while he has a breakdown. Then, make sure you pull out your APFSDS Cores, and
nail the tank as much you can. You don't need first person either, since they
fire in a semi-autoaim. Just make sure you face the tank. After you kill 1,
another pops out of a garage, so use the same tactics on that one.

NOTE: There are also explosive arrow and APFSDS Core refills on opposite sides
of the area.

Overall Difficulty: 2-3/5, 5/5 for beginners.

---
Boss - Helicopter
---
Yep, that Helicopter is back from before, but this time it wants to fight.
This boss battle is actually pretty easier considering you're fighting a damn
CHOPPER.
Attacks: The helicopter will shoot turret fire at you, not for long though, it
will also shoot missiles. Also, when you take down its health bar enough, it
will fly along the bridge you're on and start dropping bombs. They usually
miss though. The rolljump technique is your friend here!
Strategy: Whip out your APFSDS cores and start pummeling the chopper in first
person. Occasionally it will fly behind distant buildings, or under the bridge
you're on, so just wait and then unleash your cores on it again when you can
see it. There are also ammo refills on both sides of the bridge, so use those
if needed.

Overall Difficulty: 1/5, 3/5 for beginners.

---
Sub-Boss - One Electric Worm
---
Oh my God! A BIG WORM! Let's slice this slimy bastard up, shall we?
Attacks: He has weird attacks. He will either shoot electric balls at you,
which are so easily dodged I'm not even going to mention it. He will also
swing his head right under your feet, which knocks you off balance and does
a chunk of damage. Occasionally he will also try and grab you with his nasty
teeth, swing you around, and smash you into the ground.
Strategy: Despite his wormish behavior, he's as simple as... A worm. You can
dodge his electric balls by jumping or rolling, and you can dodge his head
attack by either rolling into it or blocking. Try to stay out of the middle of
the platform you're on, or he'll try and grab you for nice damage. Just roll
under his head swing attack, and slash and gash him. Not much to it. Almost as
simple as the Tentacle Fiend. Oh, you can also shoot explosive arrows at it
for some nice extra damage.

NOTE: The water is electrified, don't step in it or you will pay! (Or get
damaged a bit)

Overall Difficulty: 1/5, 2/5 for beginners.

---
Sub-Boss - Two Electric Worms
---
Oh noooes! Two of them now!
Attacks: Same as the last worm.
Strategy: Use the same basic strategy as the one worm. Usually one worm only
attacks while the other stays in his hidey hole. Just kill one off, then the
other. If both pop out, usually one will shoot electric balls, and the other
will head swing you. Still simple do dodge, just roll.

Overall Difficulty: 1.5/5, 2/5 for beginners.

---
[Sub-]Boss - Fiend Ryu (Using the Dabilahro)
---
Woo! It's him again! Time to open a can of whupass on yourself again.
Use the same strategy as the first Fiend Ryu, just keep in mind that he has a
more damaging weapon now, but it's pretty slow.

Overall Difficulty: 2/5, 2.5/5 for beginners.

---
Boss - Temple Guardian
---
Hey look! It's another bag of bones we get to slaughter!
Attacks: This guy has a nice ammount of attacks, but they aren't all that
special. His main attack is that he will shoot a laser, tracing a path. The
laser wont hurt you, but the wall of firely shortly afterwards will. If he
traces the laser vertically, just roll left or right, horizantally, just roll
towards him. He will also occasionally get bored with the side of the room
he's on, so he will jump to the other side, knocking you down if you get in
his way. Someone he will jump up on one of the ledges and roar, no damage.
Also, if you get in too close, he will stomp his feet and try to hit you with
his wings.
Strategy: He's pretty easy actually, his health bar is just rather strong. I
recommend staying from a distance and shooting him with as many explosive
arrows as you have, same with APFSDS cores. Once you run out, get up close and
use the flying swallow on him. Eventually he should kind of be dazed, and lean
down for you to nail him with combos. Repeat this and you should have him
beaten in no time.

Overall Difficulty: 2/5, 3/5 for beginners.

---
Boss - Doku
---
Ah, the giant energy guy in the samurai armor. Famous for the attack on
Hayabusa Village. Time for... Revenge!
Attacks: Doku has several attacks, all of which are damaging as Hell. His main
attack is that he will randomly do a big combo, resulting in almost instant
death, or very near, if you get caught by the whole thing. He will also charge
up for a quick second, and unleash a big dash of "Eat-My-Sword" whupass on you
if you don't move out of the way. He also pounds the ground, sending a big
shockwave out in all directions. Among these, he can also breathe blue fire,
which doesn't do much damage. Same with the shockwave. One of the worst
attacks is that he will grab you suck the life out of you, draining your life
bar and filling his. You can break free and prevent this by mashing buttons
and rotating the control stick like a madman. He also does another grab where
he impales you on his sword, lot of damage, yadda yadda.

Strategy: Doku is very defensive, AND very offensive. First thing's first,
do NOT use Flying Swallow on him unless you have a death wish. There is a 99
percent chance it wont hit him, and a 99 percent chance that he will grab you
and deal massive damage afterwards. Now... This fight is a lot like Alma, and
a lot like Murai. If Doku does his big combo, roll out of the way until he
stops, then immediately hit him with everything you have until he starts
blocking again. Do the same thing with his charging dash attack, wait until
he's finished then hit him hard. If he does his shockwave attack, simply jump
over it. If he breathes blue fire, just roll behind him and start slashing.
There's not really much to say about this boss, but to always block and always
catch him after he attacks.

Overall Difficulty: 3/5, 5/5 for beginners.

---
Sub-Boss - Ice Sloth Thing
---
Woo hoo! A big cold sloth! ...I don't even know what a sloth is, but it sure
as hell looks like one.

Attacks: It eats you, it tries to pound you to mush, and it pounds the ground
causing big shards of ice to erupt from the ground beneath your feet. Woo!

Strategy: Despite how weirdly viscious this guy looks, he's a big softy.
Really. You can abuse the flying swallow here, just do that the entire time
pretty much. If he does the pound-iceshard-attack thing, then just rolljump
away from them, they're not really that fast in coming from the ground. When
he tries to bite you, which looks like he'll fall on you, rolljump away. He'll
sit on the ground for awhile, wondering why the hell his stomache doesn't have
squished Ryu on it. Knock him up with a few combos, repeat. Simple.

Overall Difficulty: 1.5/5, 2.5/5 for beginners.

---
Sub-Boss - Fire Worm
---
Hey! Looks familiar, don't he?

Attacks: The same as the electric worms, except he'll shoot a ring of fire
instead of a ball of electricity.

Strategy: Just use the same strategy that you use on the electric worms. The
only difference is the ring of fire. When he shoots one, just jump. Don't
move, jump. You'll go right through the middle. Just as a reminder, he usually
shoots 2 rings then does his head attack.

Overall Difficulty: 1/5, 2/5 for beginners.

---
Boss - Fire Dragon
---
Hey! It's another dragon! This time it isn't a big pile of bones though. Of
course, when you're done with him he will be.

Attacks: Attacks vary on whichever floor you are on. Let me divide each into a
section.

Bottom Floor Attacks: He will try and bite you, which is pretty easily
dodgeable. He will also shoot fireballs at you, and he will flap his wings,
causing an un-blockable wall of heat to come right on after you. He can also
breathe fire, pretty slowly too.

Top Floor Attacks: Pretty much the same as above, but he wont shoot fireballs
at you. He will try and bite you more though.

Strategy: I suggest going on the top floor. I know this is going to come as a
shock to you, but I really don't have a nice strategy to use on him. What I
will tell you though, is to basically sit on the top floor and nail him
whenever possible. Projectiles come in use here too. With the wall of flame,
roll into it as soon as it comes near you. When he breathes fire, jump over
it. Rather simple, if I do say so myself.

A great strategy though, is done by someone I'm really not sure of. If you go
to the Ninja Gaiden message boards, I'm sure you can find that person.
Anyways, this person made a video of this boss. He beat it in about a minute,
with no damage taken.

What he did was get up on the right platform on the top floor. He stays in the
upper left corner, closest to the dragon. The only move the dragon could do
was breathe fire, which you can easily jump over. He cannot bite you in that
particular position, so don't worry about that. With the flame wall, roll into
it, then return to the position.

When the dragon eventually leans his head in, use a strong heavy weapon,
preferably something fully upgraded like the UF or the Dabilahro. If not, just
use any regular weapon, it will take longer, but it's still easy.

I'll keep searching for the person who made this video, so stay tuned!

NOTE: After you beat the dragon, he falls in the magma and you have to walk
across his body to the other side. BE CAREFUL, it's easy to fall off and die,
thus having to repeat the entire process. I suggest aiming in first person,
and jumping.

Overall Difficulty: 2/5, 3.5/5 for beginners.

---
Sub-Boss - Fiend Ryu (Using the Vigoorian Flails)
---
He's back! For the last time I believe. Kick his ass once again!

Attacks: Same thing as before.. yadda yadda...

Strategy: Use the same strategy as the above Fiend Ryus, but expect him to
pull off more combos.

Overall Difficulty: 2/5, 2/5 for beginners.

---
Boss - Alma II
---
Oh my God, she's back! But with a really, really weird bottom half. Not sure
who said it, but someone said, "she grabbed me with her cooter and slammed me
into the ground". That deserved a rofflewaffle if anything. Anyways...

Attacks: She has many, many painful attacks. One of the attacks from her first
form was the energy ball attack, she still shoots you with a few purple balls
sometimes. She also throws pillers at you again. You should know how to dodge
those by now. Something she also does is charge up a big energy ball and shoot
it at you. It results in massive damage, but is generally pretty easy to
avoid. Her new grab is that she takes you in her lower half, crushes all your
bones in a very noisy manner, then slams you into the ground. She also does
several melee attacks such as swiping and punching, etc.

Strategy: Most of the time she is pretty easy if you abuse this simple move.
The Gleaming Blade. Or something like that. Now that you have the true dragon
sword, hold Y as long as you can, then release it when she comes near you. It
takes a nice chunk off her health bar, and you are generally untouched when
you are in the middle of this move. You should know how to dodge her attacks,
rolljump and block. She is tough, but if you abuse the technique above, she
should be FAIRLY easy.

NOTE: If you are a sick, twisted individual, you can kill Rachael before this
fight. Before triggering the cutscene, pull out your Bow and zoom in on top of
the pyramid. Nail her right between the eyes! You get something special if you
do this as well, so try it at least once.

Overall Difficulty: 3/5, 4/5 for beginners.

---
Boss - Spirit Doku
---
Didn't think you'd be seeing him again, aye? Well, he's back, and he's blue!

Attacks: I haven't played this guy in awhile, but IIRC, he has pretty much the
same attacks as the original Doku. I'm sorry I can't say anything for sure,
but I'm playing a game of NGB right now. When I get to him I'll update him.

Strategy: Use the same strategy as regular Doku, that's all I can say for now.
A general tip for this battle is to always block, just like Doku I. Hit Spirit
Doku when he is vulnerable after he performs an attack.

Overall Difficulty: 2/5, 3/5 for beginners.

---
Sub-Boss - Tentacle Fiend III
---
This guy appears a lot, no?

Attacks: Same attacks as the last two, just a bit stronger.

Strategy: See above Tentacle Fiend strategies.

Overall Difficulty: 1/5, 1/5 for beginners.

---
Sub-Boss - Ice Sloth Thing... II!
---
This guy wont give up will he?

Attacks: Same attacks...

Strategy: Same strategy. See above.

Overall Difficulty: 2/5, 2/5 for beginners.

---
Sub-Boss - The Devil!
---
Oh my God, it's Satan!!! Run!!! No... Wait, you're a super insane kickass
ninja, why the hell would you run from the demon of all demons? Especially
after how bad you kicked that Sloth's ass!

Attacks: Satan will attempt to swoop down at you in his chair thing, and he
will call several fiends to help him out. He also does several melee attack,
and a few other things which I don't... Exactly remember. But will update when
I face him again.

Strategy: Basically dodge his attacks until he calls his fiendy friends. Kill
them and use their essence to charge a UT. When Satan comes within range, let
him have it. Yeah! Back to Hell Satan! I can't really say much here. Will
update when possible. Though the above simple strategy will work just find,
I'll inform you when I have a more detailed one.

Overall Difficulty: 2.5/5, 4/5 for beginners.

Boss - Vigoor Emperor I
---
How pretty... It looks like an angel... WITH A DEMON EVIL DARK BLADE WITHIN
HIS REACH?! Never!

Attacks: His attacks are pathetic. He will swoop lasers out in all directions,
attempting to knock you off your rock. He will also try and punch you, and
well... That's about it.

Strategy: Oh my God, this is just really sad. This guy is so easy. Just take
his attacks if he throws them, because they do little damage. Even if you fall
off your rock, you'll just lose a small piece of health and you'll be
transported back up on another rock. Inferno Ninpo is great here. Your
objective is to break all the sections of his body, which are easily
identifiable. Just move your rock to them and start slashing. If he sends his
lasers out, don't bother dodging them. Either get hit by them, or cast your
inferno ninpo to become invincible and take down his health bar rapidly. His
health falls so fast you'd think it was Fat Albert falling off the Empire
State Building.

Overall Difficulty: .111111/5, 1/5 for beginners.

---
Boss - Vigoor Emperor II
---
Well, now the easy part is over. Actually, it's still going. Kind of.

Attacks: He throws skulls at you. Pretty much it.

Strategy: Whip out your vigoorian flails and your inazuma ninpo. You'll need
it. Basically, this boss is a big skull, and he throws little skulls at you.
Every time you destroy a little skull, his health goes down. Now... For the
most complex strategy EVER.

You your Inazuma ninpo every once in awhile to clear the screen of skulls,
taking down a good chunk of his health bar. In between ninpo castings, use
your flails to bash some skulls in.

WHOMG! HE BE DEAD!!!

Overall Difficulty: 1/5, 1.5/5 for beginners.

---
Boss - The Dark Disciple
---
I am going to say one thing here. Japanese Steroid. If you still don't get it,
you don't deserve to live.

Attacks: Various slashes, a few hurtful grabs, and puff the magic dragon!

Strategy: Flying Swallow is pretty much useless now. Just stick to blocking
and rolling, and slashing where ever possible. This boss is a lot like Doku.
Attack him after he pulls off an attacks or combo. In fact, pretty much use
Doku's strategy for this guy.

Overall Difficulty: 2/5, 3/5 for beginners.

WHOAMG! JOO BEAT THE GAME! YEE HAW!
Don't forget to watch the cutscene after the credits.
