1. Introduction
-----------------------------
This game was very good. I decided to write up an FAQ about basically so I had
something to do. I am currently still in Iraq with the 3rd infantry and this
will be the fifth complete FAQ I've written since I have been deployed here.

2. Version Info/Future
-----------------------------

V 0.4 Have all cars listed and most of the career par of the game done, started
writing track strategies and completed 2 series in arcade mode.

Future: I plan to write small blurbs about each car, finishing the tracks
strategies is my next goal. If i get the time before the next update I will add
more arcade series. I will also be adding CTRL+F navigation soon, just haven't
gotten to it yet.

4. Tracks
-----------------------------

Angel Superspeedway

Route 1 - 1.15 Mi
This course is simply a big oval around the speed way. Should be a very short
lap, no more than about 45 seconds in a slow car. Wath out for goiing into the
sand around the two turns as it will greatly slow you down and possibly make
you spin out.

Route 2 - 1.15 Mi
This is alot like route 1 except the straightaways are shortened since the two
turns start sonner and move out then the ends of the turns are longer and go in
more to the shortend straights. Still not a very long course.

Route 3 - 2.25 Mi
This track is simply a figure 8. The straights are long and the two turns are
the same as they were in route 1 with the exception of the extra you need to
turn in order to go diagonally from the turn instead of straight as you did in
route 1. Slightly longer laps than route 1 or 2 but stilll shouldn't take more
than a minute in a slow car for one lap.

Route 4 - 1.05 Mi
This track starts you off infront of a sharp right turn, so don't use NOS right
off the line if you are in a higher powered car. After the first sharp turn
there will be 2 more turns just like it, take them slow and outside. These
turns will be easier in a FWD car if you know how to control them well. After
the three sharp turns you will come out at the longer side of the speedway with
the turn that you can take almost at full speed. This track can be longer by
virtue of the 3 sharp turns you will have to nearly stop for, but still
shouldn't take much longer than a minute in a slow car.

Point-to-point - 2.9 Mi
This track basically combines tracks 1 and 4. When you start you will be
outside the speedway and will drive onto the track, now you will go around the
sharper side of route 1. After a short straight you will head into the three
sharp turns from route 4. After you finish the sharp turns you will head onto
the easy turn from route 1. Atfter the straight at the end of the turn there
will be one last sharp right turn then a straight to the finish line. Might
take slower cars about 2 min or less to finish this race.

Sprint - 1.8 Mi
This is one of the longer sprints in the game but not the longest. If your car
is ased soley on acceleration you may find yourself being passed near the end
of the race. However if you are mainly focused on top speed you may not have
enough track to catch some of the faster accelerating cars. Try to find a good
balance of speed and accel. Slower cars can take about 30 seconds or more to
complete 1 heat here.

-----------------------------
5. Career Mode
-----------------------------

5-1. Basics
-----------
First this game is all about getting respect from the other crews.

When you start your first race will be against T.K. from the Urban Maulerz
crew. He will be driving a RX-8 and will give you an Eclipse GSX for this race
only. You will also have to pay for any damage to the car so try not to wreck
it.

After the first race you will be given a choice of 6 cars. There will only be
3 kinds, but each car has 2 colors.

Beetle GLS 1.8T (D)
Class: 8
BHP: 153
Drive: FWD
Value: $6,299
State: Used
Condition: Poor

CR-X
Class: 8
BHP: 152
Drive: FWD
Value: $2,335
State: Used
Condition: Exellent

206 GTI
Class: 8
BHP: 119
Drive: FWD
Value: $11,899
State: New
Condition: Excellent

The (D) next to the Beetle means it is damaged. You will have to spend money to
repair it before you can race it. This symbol will appear even after you unlock
more cars if that car happens to be damaged. But they will also cost less than
non-damaged cars.

Once you start earning respect with a crew there are four "ranks" you can
achieve, at 100 respect you can attend that crews events, at 300 you can race
at that crews events, at 600 you can race that crews leader for pink slips, and
at 1000 you can host your own events in that crews turf. You will have to race
the crew leader at 1000 points to actually be able to host there. 1500 Respect
is the "max" respect for a crew, even though the number will still go up
anything after 1500 is excess.

Pink slip races are permanent. After you accept the challenge even in the event
of a power outtage or any other reason, if your xbox shuts off, you lose your
car. This even applies to XBOX Live pink slip races, if you lag out you will
lose your car.

Like pink slip races betting is permanent, after you place any bet either
against another driver when you are racing, or on a driver if you are watching,
the game will auto-save. If you shut off the power because you are losing, you
will lose your money anyway.

At no certain point during your career mode you will be asked to let 3
different drivers join your crew. Vito, Amber, and Chief. They don't start off
very skilled but every race you enter them in will raise their skill and
composure until it is maxed out. You will have to give your drivers orders.
Just High, Medium, or Low. At High your driver will drive as fast as they can
and use NOS at any straight-aways, they will however gain stress faster. If
your driver is too stressed they may make a mistake and spin out. At Medium
your driver will race normally and not use any NOS, they will also slowly
recover from stress. At Low your driver will drive slower than normal and
possibly lose positions, they will also recover from stress very quickly. There
is no real reason to ever put your driver in Low, if they are stressed put them
in Medium for a while but never put them in Low.

If you go to the Respect screen you will see a progress bar at the top of your
screen. To get 100% completion of the career mode you have to gain 1500 respect
from every other crew and complete every crews challenges. At 100% you will
unlock every prototype part for every car in the game, as well as the Bronze,
Silver, and Gold prototype arcade challenges, and the extreme nitrous series.

If there is no event scheduled on a day you should take that day to either take
a crew challenge, pink slip race, or schedule your own event. One of the best
and easiest ways to earn money is to set up a class 8 sprint event on your home
turf, the super speedway, and put as much money as you care to on the car with
the most BHP. The car will not always win but it will more often than not.

When another crew leader calls you and asks to do a pink slip race if you say
no you will lose about 35 respect from that crew. If you say yes, the race will
take place on the next open day and you will be skipped to that day
automatically. So if there is a prototype event or any other event you want to
go to between you and the next open day just say no, or you can shut off your
XBOX if you don't want to lose respect.

5-2. Crews
----------

Name: Urban Maulerz
Leader: T.K.
Hood: San Ricardo
Respects: Circuit Racing
Favorite Cars: Anything with wheels.

Not a very tough crew, T.K. will try to cheat and knock people out of his way
alot. He gets stressed very quickly and will almost never win in circuits or
point to points. Impress this crew by getting second or first in circuits and
point to point races. If you are first you will gain extra respect based on how
far ahead of the second place car you are.

Name: A.W.B.
Leader: Biggi
Hood:Campbell Hills
Respects: Sprint Racing
Favorite Cars: Japanese imports.

This crew is only slightly better than the Urban Maulerz. Biggi won't often try
to run you off the road and doesn't get stressed nearly as fast as T.K. He has
a good chance to win if his car is better than yours, and T.K. is the only
other driver. Impress this crew by winning sprint races. The further ahead of
second you are the more respect you will win per race.

Name: Vixens
Leader: Sue
Hood: Downtown
Respects: Showoff Skills
Favorite Cars: Japanese imports with serious body kits.

Sue is a decent racer, she will normally win in the early races against other
crews like A.W.B. and the Urban Maulerz. Later in class 6-1 her crew will
normally lose, as they pick cars like the Camaro or similar cars that just
can't keep up with the WRX or other cars. You can impress this crew with your
showoff skills. These events can be difficult as most of the tracks aren't very
good for showing off. You will start off each showoff event in negative
respect, if you meet the goal for the event you will get a little respect but
to get the most you need to get alot of points. Each event has a cap of how
much respect you can earn no matter how many points you earn in the event.

Name: The Wild Cats
Leader: Maria
Hood: Angel North Central
Respects: Crew Performance
Favorite Cars: Mitsubishi Imports.

This is a pretty good crew Maria is a good racer but can often get stressed
easily. In the later classes she will either use a 3000GT or an Evo VIII,
which are both good cars. If she is using the Evo just hope you are using a WRX
or an Evo yourself. The 3000GT will work well for her in longer sprint races
but not very tough to beat in a circuit setting or a short sprint. To impress
this crew you will need atleast one other member in your crew. You will need to
do either the 3 on 3 team races or the 2,2,2 races and place second or first.
If you are in first you will get more respect the further you are in the lead.

Name: Omega Tau
Leader: Jack
Hood: Angel Westside
Respects: Best Car
Favorite Cars: Toyota Imports.

Jack is easy to beat in almost any race since in class 7 and up race he will
almost certainly use a Supra. This car can easily be beaten by almost any other
car since Jack isn't the best driver either. To be safe though use the WRX or
another really good car. You can impress Jack with really nice cars, the nicer
your best car is, the more respect you will earn. Prototype parts will raise
your respect very fast, as will the more expensive cars in the line-up.

Name: Public Chaos
Leader: Melody
Hood: Southside Beach
Respects: Car Collection
Favorite Cars: Any.

This is a fairly good crew. They have skill and pretty good cars. She still
shouldn't be much of a challenge to beat though. She'll drive just about any
kind of car and almost never uses muscle cars or anything but Japanese cars.
To impress this crew you will need a large collection of high quality cars.
Each car you get and trick out will give you respect with the crew. Becareful
though since whenever you lose a car or sell one your respect will go down
again. Your respect will also go down if you put parts on your car that aren't
as good as the one you had on during the last respect tally.

Name: The Lordz
Leader: Pappa
Hood: East Angel Island
Respects: Gambling
Favorite Cars: American muscle cars.

This crew doesnt race very often. If you do see them racing it will probably be
in something big and American. That is this crews downfall, they have skill and
are very good racers, but the use American muscle cars which sadly aren't much
of a match compared to cars like the WRX or even the Supra. Pappa will alway
bet alot of money when you bet with him. Take advantage of this to raise your
respect with this crew. They are impressed when you win bets, the more money
you make on a bet the more respect you will earn from them.

Name: Legion
Leader: Carlos
Hood: West Anderson
Respects: Pink Slip Racing
Favorite Cars: Any.

This is the hardest crew in the game, but still not much of a challenge since,
like the rest of the crews, they never tune their cars as much as they could.
Sometimes this crew is also prone to use American Muscle cars, which is another
downfall of the crew. They will use a WRX in most of their class 5-6 races
though. Impress this crew by winning pink slips from other crew. You will get
more respect based on how far ahead when you win.

5-3. Challenges
---------------

Each crew will give you three challenges that you can do. You can do these for
50 respect each. You will also have to complete all of them for 100%
completetion. Each challenge will have to be done with a certain type of car.

Lap Time Challenge - You will have to use the specified car to meet or beat the
target time around one lap of the specified track.

Perfect Lap Challenge - You need to use the specified car to make it around the
track one time without hitting any walls or causing any damage to your car.

Speed Challege - You will have to use the specified car to complete one lap
around the track staying at or above the target speed. You will be given 10
seconds to attain the target speed and have as much time as you need to
complete the lap.

5-4. Tips
---------

If you are losing a bet, or a pink slip race you can turn off the power on your
XBOX. You will still lose your car or money, but you won't lose any respect
from the Lords or Legion.

During speed challenges just because you have to maintain a minimum speed
doesn't mean you need to drive as fast as you can. Usally around 100 MPH is a
good speed to stay. However on some tracks around certain turns you will need
to be at a slower speed to aviod crashing.

A good car that I've found for showoff events is the FTO. It accelerates
quickly and can do 360's fast with minimum travel out of your line.

-----------------------------
6. Arcade
-----------------------------

Arcade mode is seperated into several series. You will start with just the
Novice series unlocked. In each series you will start with 4 races out of 5
unlocked. To unlock the next series you will need to complete 3 races from a
series, clear the forth race to unlock the fifth race, after you finish the
last race in a series you will unlock a new track in free mode. All your
opponents in arcade will be driving the same car as you, so this is really a
test of how well you drive. There are 15 seriers in all.
