Intro

I've seen that there have been no FAQ/Walkthroughs yet for Amped, so I've
beaten the game, so why not do one for all the great people out there? I
recently finished my Halo: Combat Guide, and I just love writing FAQs, so I
decided to do this. It's full of great info to help you beat the game, and beat
your friends.
If you don't know how my very good searching system works, simply put in the
letter and number combonation after the part you want to see.
e.g: Open your search box (Ctrl+F) then enter the section you want to find
(let's say Controls), then put in A12, hit enter twice, and you're there!
Amped is a snowboaring game and ONLY for the Xbox. In my opinion it's one of
the best snowboarding games I've ever played. It has many different challenges
to do. The only bad thing about it is that...I think it should have more rail
tricks. It's a great game, so I've decided to do an FAQ/Walkthrough on it.
One more thing, be sure you know what all the tricks are if you're using the
Walkthough, I use the terms in there, so be sure you know how to use them!

Please entitle the subject of your e-mail "Amped FAQ", if it's anything else I

Newest Version

Version 0.96 (05/16/03): Hello again everyone! Hopefully you haven't been too
desperate for me....:) Is it just me, or do the dividers not go all the way to
the end, because it's bugging me and I don't know why. E-mail me with
suggestions for it, thanks. Anyway, I finished up to the Snow Summit 2 Media
Challenges, which are done, now I'll be working on the rest of it. I'm sending
this one, just in case come people are getting desperate. This FAQ will be
finished soon, I guarantee it.

========================================================================

Version History

Version 0.1 (11/15/02): Just started the FAQ. I finished up to Section 1.3.

Version 0.2 (11/16/02): Beating the game a second time while doing this
walkthrough is fun! I finished all of Section 1 and the walkthrough part for
Brighton 1, but I can't do the Pro Challenges yet, so I'm doing Snow Summit, I
haven't beat it in my game's FAQ-JP file, which I'm doing step-by-step with my
FAQ. Doing the second Snow Summit 1 sponsor now.

Version 0.3 (11/17/02): I finished up to the end of Brighton 2. I may be
getting Metal Gear Solid 2 for the Xbox, so this FAQ might be delayed in about
3 weeks.

Version 0.4 (11/19/02): Oh god, I screwed up my FAQ pretty bad, thank god it
got posted, otherwise I don't know what I would have done. I have to save it
off the site and fix it up (which took half an hour) because it wasn't wrapped
the way I had it. Oh well, it's fine now. Decided to add info about each run
too, which lists basically what each run is like.

Version 0.5 (12/03/02): Fell behind for a bit, probably because I was bet that
if I could stay on the computer for 2 hours a day max, I could get a new game
(MGS2: Substance), but I finished up some snowmen.

Version 0.6 (12/10/02): Finally I rented MGS2 for the Xbox, so I'm happy, and
ready to work on my FAQ again. I added a "Points per Mood Bar" for the Sponsor
Challenges, just giving myself more work to do, but It'll make my FAQ better.
If you want to see more on this, go to the Walkthrough part (B11), it's in the
"My format" part. Finished up to the Pro of Stratton 1.

Version 0.7 (12/12/02): Got a new e-mail account since my old one was screwed
up. [email protected], it's kinda like my old one....well, anyway, I
finished up to (and finishing) the Pro 1 of Alitbahn, almost done the
Walkthrough....

Version 0.8 (12/14/02): Finished most of the Alitbahn 1 Explore Challenge,
added some new sites my FAQs posted on.

Version 0.9 (12/16/02): Pretty close to finishing the Walkthrough, I'm on the
4th last level. I want to hopefully finish the Walkthrough by Christmas, but I
might not. I got an e-mail that said from a person (if you read this and want
your name here, say so) "...I bought the Official Amped Guide for 10 bucks from
the store, and I wasted my money, the material in your FAQ is much better..."
That's why I write FAQs, to make a difference, help, and save people money.
Fixed a critical error, I added a bunch of clothing to the Promotion from Local
to Shop rider, I put them in their normal spots. I finished the Sponsor of
SlopeStyle, and am starting just after that.

Version 0.91 (12/18/02): It's getting close to Christmas, so I want to get the
walkthrough finished, but Version I wanted when the Walkthrough was finished is
to be 1.0 (is that confusing?), so that's why it's 0.91 instead of 1.0.
Finished to up to most of the SlopeStyle Explore Challenge, fixed a few
mistakes, and added the Newest Version section.

Version 0.92 (12/31/02): Did you all miss me? Sorry I haven't updated for a
while, but it's the holidays, and I'd like to enjoy them. I got a lot of new
games for Christmas, so I've been playing them, and I lent Amped to one of my
friends for a few days. I have some new stuff (FAQs, some new tips after
watching 2 of my friends struggle) in this update, but not a lot. Expect to see
lots of new stuff soon.

Version 0.93 (?/?/03): Lalala, out of the holiday mood and back into the FAQ
writing mood. All is well, I've just been playing the new games I've got for
Christmas. I might start another Walkthrough soon, so if there are any delays
(there shouldn't), it's because of that. I fixed my Legal Stuff, that's very
important...it made it seem you can e-mail me and take credit for my work.
AHHH!

**IMPORTANT** I forgot that the guides should be "No wrap".

Version 0.94 (03/10/03): Did you miss me? I hope not....I don't like keeping
people waiting :) Sorry I couldn't finish the Walkthrough this time, but I'm
getting close. I WOULD have finished, but it turns out we're going to Hawaii
tomorrow (yay). No more snow! Well, I do have most of the Pro 2 Challenges
done, hopefully that will keep you happy until about April when I get back!
Just keep in mind that I've got school, friends, and a life to uphold when
you're begging me for an update. I'm not being mean, it's just sometimes I
don't feel like writing. But don't worry, I'll finish it soon....just be
patient. (The preceding statement was forged from many e-mails and message
board posts). Oh yeah, and sorry, I couldn't pry myself from Diablo 2 and Metal
Gear Solid 2....that's another reason...heh...heh...

Version 0.95 (04/09/03): All right, I'm done with ANY OTHER GAME I'm playing,
just to finish this. The life of an FAQ Writer is not an easy one. People
e-mailing you about this and that, telling you to update. All I can do is tell
you to be patient. Anyway....I finished all the Pro 2 Challenges up to
SlopeStyle, along with the Explore Challenges, expect more within the next 3
days. If you've sent in contributions, I'm not adding any more until the FAQ is
done. Enjoy!

=======================================================================
1.2: Tricks A14
=======================================================================

Seriously, what's a game without tricks? I've gone through countless times of
going downhill to get you these tricks so you don't have to take up your
valuable time. Here's the list:

**SIDE NOTE** Depending on wether you pick Goofy or Regular, you'll get
different tricks when you are riding, you seem to get MORE points if you do a
trick on the opposite side you ride on.

So, if you picked Regular when making your character, look at the regular
moves, if you pick Goofy, look at the Goofy moves.

These are all mid-air buttons:

X:
Regular: Stalefish
Goofy: Melon
Double Tap (Regular):(X, then X right after) Melon
Double Tap (Goofy): Stalefish

Y:
Regular: Indy
Goofy: Mute
Double Tap (Regular): Mute
Double Tap (Goofy): Indy

A:
Regular: Tail
Goofy: Nose
Double Tap (Regular): Nose
Double Tap (Goofy): Tail

Left Joystick Up: Front Flip
Left Joystick Down: Back Flip
Left Joystick Up-Left or Up-Right: Corkscrew (gives A LOT of points)
Left Joystick Down-Left or Down-Right: Rodeo (gives A LOT of points)

For the Corkscrew and Rodeo, you can do them with the D-Pad, it's just they're
a lot harder to pull off.

If you use the Right Joystick you can't do the double taps (I've tried, if you
want to prove me wrong, go try), so try to get used to using these 3 buttons.

**SIDE NOTE**: When you are going "uphill" it will say "Go downhill!", when it
says this, you cannot get any points until you go downhill and that message
disappears.

=======================================================================
Tweaks A15
=======================================================================

So you've mastered the basic moves, now what you ask? It's time to start
tweaking your moves! I'm not talking about getting your moves down so you're
unbeatable, I mean making new moves with the Triggers. For this part, I'm just
going to list the move, and tell you the 3 tweaks you can do.

Stalefish:
Left Trigger: Tweaked Stalefish
Right Trigger: Stinky Stalefish
Both Triggers: Rocket Stalefish

Melon:
Left Trigger: Palm
Right Trigger: Crooked Cop
Both Triggers: Method

Indy:
Left Trigger: Crooked Indy
Right Trigger: Indy Nose Poke
Both Triggers: Indy Nose Bone

Mute:
Left Trigger: Mute Palm
Right Trigger: FS Mute
Both Triggers: Japan

Tail:
Left Trigger: Nose Poke
Right Trigger: Shifty
Both Triggers: Nose Bone

Nose:
Left Trigger: Tail Poke
Right Trigger: Shifty
Both Triggers: Tail Bone

All right, there you go, all the moves you can do, but that's not all...

=======================================================================
"Jibs" (Grinds) A16
=======================================================================

There is, of course, plenty of air moves, but what about all those poor, poor,
un"jibbed" rails and boxes out there? They have a few tricks to do on those
too!

Here are the different grinds you can do:

When board is parallel (same way) as rail: 50-50
When board is perpendicular (opposite way) as rail: Boardslide
When you press Up and B: Nose press
When you press Down and B: Tail press

**SIDE NOTE** The 50-50 and Boardslide are MUCH easier to balance than the
presses, but the presses give off more points. Try to use a little press at the
beginning of your grind to get points, then go back to a normal grind by
hitting B. (So if you were doing a nose press and wanted to get out of it, hit
B!).

=======================================================================
1.3: Creating Your Rider A17
=======================================================================

The best part about the game is creating your own rider (well, doing the actual
game is fun, but this is great too...). You can choose the clothes he/she
wears, the gear they use, and even their face! After doing the appearance, you
get to put on some skills.
While you're making your own rider, I'm going to make my own too, his name will
be FAQ-JP, it's up to you what you are going to call your rider. Enough of this
intro talk, let's make the rider! I'll do this screen by screen.

First, you have to give your rider a name. The name doesn't really matter, but
in the end, that name is going to be the #1 Rider in the World, so choose
carefully.

Next, you get 5 attribute points to spread around. You can put them on Spin,
Jump, Balance, Speed and Switch. I'll go into more detail in the section
involving skills, but here's the basic thing:

Spin: The more points, the faster you spin (my #1 Rider can easily do a 900,
even a 1080!). Spinning is good.

Jump: The more points, the higher you jump. The more air you get, the bigger
your combos can get and you have more time to spin and do tricks!

Balance: The more points, the longer you can balance on a rail.

Speed: The more points, the faster you go. This is good for getting speed for
big air.

Switch: I find this one pretty useless, it allows you to ride better on the
opposite stance (Regular or Goofy).

Put the 5 skills on to best suit how you think you're going to play! Then we'll
continue on.

After that we get to pick what our character looks like! You will have one
garmet of clothing from each of the companies in the game (except for the hats
part, you automatically have all of them). So pick the character's face, coat,
pants, goggles, and hat, then let's move on.

**SIDE NOTE** There are 3 types of hats, Milos, Bandanas, and Beanies, hit Left
to see them.

Next, we get to pick the gear. Each board affects different attributes on your
boarder (which I will list later). So pick one that you think will do you best
until I get that section done. Pick your board, will will affect your stats (a
little, it will improve them, not remove them), and the Boots and Binding don't
matter now (they will affect your stats later when you unlock new kinds), then
pick your stance.

After that, you're done, and can start doing Challenges!! (I'll cover this in
the Walkthrough section)

=======================================================================
1.4: Stats A18
=======================================================================

The fun part about the game is that you can get certain stats to customize your
rider to suit your playing style. Each one does something different. In the
previous section (1.3), I briefly told you what each one does, now I will go
in-depth for you.

=======================================================================
Spin: A19
Spin can be one of the most valuable attributes. It allows you to spin faster
in mid-air. The more you spin, the more points you get. If you use this in a
combo with other moves (e.g: 720 Stalefish), you will get a lot of points. Now,
if you do a 900 Corkscrew and Mute Palm, that's a whole lot of points. (More
on Combos later)

=======================================================================
Jump: A20
Jump is just as important as Spin. This attribute allows you to jump higher,
allowing you to get more air for tricks (and jump longer distances and to get
to high up hard to reach places). If you have maxed out Spin, but no jump, it's
not going to help you at all. Jump is VERY important.

=======================================================================
Balance: A21
Balance lets you "jib" for longer. It is also good because you can do the
Presses for quite a while. The most stat points on this, the longer you will go
(and this combined with a huge air trick means tons of points!). Balance is
good if you like to do air-to-rail combos, or just like rails.

=======================================================================
Speed: A22
The more points here, the faster you go. The faster you go, the more air you
can get as well. But the bad thing is this will make your time on the rails a
lot shorter too. If you like doing lots of huge air combos, put your points
here (but don't forget Spin and Jump). If you like staying on rails for a long
time, don't put too many points here (it doesn't matter how many you put for
LONG rails, if you stay on for too long, you'll fall off!).

=======================================================================
Switch: A23
I find this stat fairly useless (if you don't agree, send me a reason!), it
simply allows you to ride faster and turn better on the opposite stance
(Regulars will ride better on Switch, Goofys will ride better on Normal). I
don't see the point, you can just pull the Left Trigger to do this (or Right).
Put some on here, sometimes it comes in handy!

=======================================================================
In my opinion, here are the stats from most important to least important:

1: Jump
2: Spin
3: Speed
4: Balance
5: Switch

It could vary for you, if you like riding the rails, Balance would be 3 and
Speed would be 4. It all depends on what your style is.

=======================================================================
1.5: Starting your Career A24
=======================================================================

Well, you've created your character, and ready to hit the slopes, right? Yeah,
you are, but here are some things that you should know and could help you a
lot!

=======================================================================
Beginner Tips A25
=======================================================================

You have to start somewhere don't you? Everyone is a Beginner at one point or
another, and every Beginner can use a tip or two from a more experienced
player, can't they? They can, and here's some that will help you get points on
your first runs (some Veterans may find some of these useful too)!

-Don't push it!
What this means is that you shouldn't overdo your tricks. Don't spin longer
than you think you should, don't hold your grabs until the last second, don't
grind so long you fall off, things like that. Learn to judge your tricks, and
you'll find you'll crash less each time.

-DON'T HOLD A DURING A TRICK!!
Unless you want to do a Nose or Tail anyway. This isn't Tony Hawk or any other
game like that where A isn't a trick! A is a trick here, so don't hold it
unless you're doing a Nose or Tail.

-DON'T HOLD A WHEN GOING AGAINST A PRO (all the time anyway)
Pros sometimes do tricks close together (there are a few), especially after big
jumps sometimes. Don't hold A until you are getting fairly close to the jump.

-Try some small rail combos.
When you're on a rail, jump off and try doing a 360, then land back on it, this
is a combo. It will bring in more points than just simply grinding! Try rail
combos whenever you can.

-Vary your tricks.
Don't do the same trick over and over again, it's worth less and less points
every time. Try mixing up the X and Y (maybe A) buttons for different tricks.
Remember, there are 5 tricks with every button (that's with the tweaks by the
way), so you have plenty to work with.

-Learn the big point moves.
Corkscrews and Rodeos are great ways to bring in points, especially when
combined with other tricks like Mutes and Stalefish. A 720 Corkscrew and Mute
is worth over 10,000 points! Learn these tricks as early on as you can, and
you'll soon be making huge combos.

-Jump at the top of the jump.
Just as you're about to go off a jump, JUMP! This will give you alot of air
(make sure your not going over though). As you know (if you don't, now you do)
big air gives you a lot of trick time.

These should help most beginners out, maybe even some veterans. If I can think
of any more, I'll put them up, or if someone sends some in too...

=======================================================================
Getting Points A26
=======================================================================

Getting points are easy. But getting a lot of points isn't. Here are a couple
of ways to get some huge points off just a few button presses.

-Air-to-Rail
These combos give off a heck of a lot of points. Especially if your air move is
worth a lot of points in the first place. If you do a Nose or Tail press after
a huge air combo onto a rail, you'll get a lot of points. With the Media you
get even more....

-Big Jumps
Most of the jumps go at about a 45 degree angle, which will launch you far into
the air and get you some good air time. There are some really steep ones that
will give you lots of air, but no distance. If there is a 45 degree jump going
down a mountain, you'll have major air time.

-Rails
There are 3 kinds of rails: Short, Medium and Long. When just starting out, the
Long rails aren't going to do you any good (you don't have any points on
balance yet), so stick with the Short and Medium. The longer you stay on a
rail, the better chance you have of falling off, but you get a lot more points.

-Mix up your moves in the air.
If you just do a Stalefish in the air, your not going to get a lot of points.
Now, if you do a Stalefish with a Mute, then do a 360 Corkscrew, you're going
to get a lot more points, aren't you? That's a combo, learn how to do them, or
you're not going to get anywhere in this game. (More on Combos later)

This should do it for now. If you have any other BASIC ways of getting points,
send 'em in!

=======================================================================
The Media A27
=======================================================================

The media is represented by a Red Camera Icon above or beside a jump or rail.
When you do a trick near a Media person, the screen will turn into a video
camera-like view. Doing a trick near the Media greatly increases the score for
your moves.
So let's say you were doing a trick worth about 20,000 points, ok? Well, if you
were to do it near the Media, it would go up to over 30,000 points. I'm still
trying to figure out how many points the Media gives you, if I ever get it,
I'll put it right here.
So do your tricks by the Media when you can, you'll get a lot more points!

=======================================================================
Challenge Types A28
=======================================================================

There are basically 5 different challenge types:

High Score Challenge (each one advances you 1 World Rank):
In this, you have to beat a certain high score, which is displayed on the
Loading screen, and the in game Challenges screen. Your current score is
displayed on the top left corner of the screen. Once you have reached the High
Score for the Challenge, it will say right in the middle of the screen, High
Score Challenge Complete (or something like that), then you will hear applause,
and you can try for the next one.

Media Score Challenge (each one advances you 1 World Rank):
Pretty much like the High Score challenge, but this time it only counts Media
points, which are displayed in the top-right corner of the screen. Remember,
you can only get Media points by tricking near the Media people.

Sponsor Challenge (each one advances you 1 World Rank):
You have a "Amped" meter up top, and your goal is to get your Sponsor into the
Amped mood by the end of the run. The meter increases when you do a trick the
Sponsor likes, and if it isn't what they like, it better be one good trick.
When you crash or do a trick they hate, it will go down. If they are Amped at
the end of the run, you complete the challenge and get some new clothing.

Pro Challenge (each one advances you 1 World Rank):
You get to ride with a pro, but your goal is to beat them. The circles are
where they jump, and they are color coded for different amounts of points as
follows:

Easy Trick (Green): 5,000 pts. or less
Medium Trick (Blue): 5,000-10,000 pts.
Hard Trick (Orange): 10,000-20,000 pts.
Crazy Trick (Red): 20,000+ pts.

The pro's trick score is displayed in the top right corner of the screen, you
have to beat that score. You must start your trick in the circle, otherwise it
doesn't count. If you don't get enough points, crash, or miss the circle, you
get a strike. 3 strikes and you're out!
A good tactic for pro challenges is to not hold A or Foward the whole time, as
sometimes they will do tricks one after another. Just build up speed when you
are getting close to the jump. Don't forget to follow the green path, that's
where the pro goes.

Explore Challenge (find all 8 snowmen and you advance 1 World Rank):
When you hear weird noises, it's the snowmen. Hit them and you will kill them,
getting you one of the eight hidden in the level. I'm not entirely sure on each
location, but I'll find them all again, just for the sake of the FAQ!

=======================================================================
Section 2.0: Walkthrough B11
=======================================================================

All right, here it is, the biggest part of the FAQ, the Walkthrough. I'll take
you through every challenge in the game until you are Rank #1 in the world! I
will also tell you any rewards you get after each challenge. This is my format
for the Walkthrough:

My difficulty Rating system (so far):

Cakewalk: This is TOO easy, you shouldn't have a problem.
WAY too Easy: Really, really easy, shouldn't be hard.
Super Easy: Not hard at all.
Easy: Not too hard, but still somewhat of a challenge.
Easy-Medium: Not that easy, but not quite Medium.
Medium: Not too easy, not too hard.
Medium-Hard: More hard than Medium, should be a Challenge.
Hard: You'll probably have a tough time with this.
Hard-Very Hard: This one is tough man!
Very Hard: This one requires a lot of practice, and patience!
Impossible: You can't beat it (don't worry, this is EASILY fixed)

**SIDE NOTE**: After watching my friend struggle through some of the levels,
these ratings are after you've practiced your moves a bit, and can pull off
some pretty OK combos and stuff. Keep this in mind if you find something too
hard.

That's my format, now enjoy.

=======================================================================
Brighton 1 B12
=======================================================================

Brighton 1 may as well be the intro level, it has plenty of good jumps with
Media Icons on it, which will give you a lot of points. If your daring, you can
try to get up onto the lift, then grind until you hit all 3 scores!

Runs:
Majestic:
Majestic is for the people who really like more jumps than rails. There are
plenty of good jumps, and a halfpipe, with Media icons on them. This is pretty
much a beginner's level without anywhere to get lost or forks in the road. I
like this run over Hawkeye personally.

Hawkeye:
Hawkeye is your rail run. It has plenty of logs and differnet rails to do
presses and other grinds. It has no big jumps whatsoever until the two runs
merge near the end. The two log rails are near the end, to the right of a
yellow jump, grind one, jump, grind the other, get the media and a lot of
points too.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

High Score Challenge #1 - 15,000 pts.
Difficulty Rating: Super Easy

This really isn't that hard, just remember not to hold A, and try to combo your
moves. I beat the score in one trick :) Use the rails and the half-pipe (which
is about halfway into the level). If you are deciding to be a rail person,
there are plenty around here. This is the level where you get to learn your
stuff, so use your time here wisely.

High Score Challenge #2 - 30,000 pts.
Difficulty Rating: Easy

It's only twice as much as last time...use the tips from challenge #1 and
remember, tricking near the Media give you lots of points!!

High Score Challenge #3 - 60,000 pts.
Difficulty: Easy-Medium

I beat this. Just try to make big tricks in the halfpipe (the 360 Corkscrew and
Mute works well). Remember, don't push it too much, you'll get it if you combo
your moves. Slowing down before rails will help you get points too. Don't
forget the Media!!

After beating these three challenges, you'll be rewarded with 3 new skill
points!!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Media Challenge #1 - 10,000 pts.
Difficulty Rating: Too Easy

One or two tricks is all you'll probably need to beat this Media score, it's
very, very, easy, trust me. The first jump is a good place to get some points,
as it is a big jump, and the half pipe has a Media icon in it too, so at that
spot should really help. Near the end of the level there are a lot of big
jumps, and a lot with Media, so use these when you can!

Media Challenge #2 - 20,000 pts.
Difficulty Rating: Super Easy

It's still way too easy to give any real tips! Remember to combo your moves and
you can probably beat all 3 in just one trick! It's quite easy, even a
super-beginner should be able to beat it with ease.

Media Challenge #3 - 40,000 pts.
Difficulty: Easy

If you can get 60,000 pts in the high score challenge, why can't you get 40,000
here? It's pretty easy still, so I can't really go in depth yet.

After beating these 3 challenges, you'll unlock a new level and get these 3
media portfolio clips:

You made the Family Newsletter!
Your friend got a great shot of you!
I posted your trick on my Web Site!

Now, don't go to the next level yet, let's finish up here first.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Sponsor Challenge #1 - Aireal Tricks
Difficulty Rating: Easy

All you have to do is tricks in the air! It's shouldn't be much of problem.
Remember to use combos to make the meter go up faster, and try to to "jib",
you'll only bring the meter down. It's very important not to push it too much
in Sponsor challenges, because if you crash, it takes the meter down quite a
bit.

You win the following:
A free hot dog! (which does nothing)

Sponsor Challenge #2 - Grabs
Difficulty Rating: Easy

Grabs are things like Stalefish and Mutes. Anything your boarder does with the
X, Y, and A buttons is a grab. Remember to combo this with 360's, 540's and
720's to make the meter go up like crazy. Use any big jumps you can, they'll
make the meter go up quite a bit faster.

You win the following:
Iris Clothing (Iris Goggles, Eclipse Model)
Rider's Choice Clothing (it's a coat, in the sweaters)

Sponsor Challenge #3 - Rails
Difficulty: Easy-Medium

The very first time (ever) I played this challenge, I had some trouble with it,
but all you have to know is that you should use presses (Up+B and Down+B, to
cancel, hit B). After that, do a 180 or 360 off and you shouldn't have any
trouble beating this. Don't go really fast into the rails, slow down so you get
more points, and that will bring the meter up faster too.

You win the following:
Smith Clothing (Smith Goggles, Cascade Model)
Snowaccess Clothing (it's a coat, in the hoodies)

...and you unlock another level. Your World Rank should be 117, you can't do
the Pro Challenges yet, so just skip to the Explore!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Pro Challenge #1 - Jason Murphy (beat Gunny's Gulch Sponsor Challenge)
Difficulty: Easy

Tricks:
1st: 972 pts. 6th: 2,993 pts.
2nd: 1,850 pts.
3rd: 2,505 pts.
4th: 1,255 pts.
5th: 1,000 pts.

This guy is VERY easy. Don't be scared by the 3rd and 6th tricks, just do a
back or front flip if you don't think you can do a combo to beat it. All you
really have to do is a spin and grab, and you'll easily beat him.

You win:
A new trick! - Melon to Palm (Melon + R)

Pro Challenge #2 - J. Mendenhall (beat SlopeStyle Sponsor Challenge)
Difficulty: Medium-Hard

Tricks:
1st: 13,973 pts. 6th: 10,260 pts.
2nd: 13,603 pts. 7th: 4,345 pts.
3rd: 7,979 pts.
4th: 7,203 pts.
5th: 11,622 pts.

This guy is pretty hard actually. The first two tricks can be tricky, if you
have too much on your Jump stat. Take it easy, and get enough air to pull off a
Corkscrew/Rodeo, preferrably a 720 or 900. If you do get too close, just pull
to the left/right, and grind up the tree, that's an EASY 13,000 points. The 5th
and 6th tricks aren't too bad, since the 6th is a rail. Just pull a big trick
(if you've been following, it's a Corkscrew/Rodeo), and make sure you haven't
done it before, you don't want to lose needless points. Then just grind the
rail, and pull a little trick for the last one.

You win:
2 new skill points, all right!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Explore Challenge

For these Challenges, I will just list where to find the snowmen.

Majestic:
One of them is right in front of the double green jump, go VERY slow over it,
and it'll be right at the bottom.

Majestic:
Right after the halfpipe, just over the blue fence and a bit to the left, there
is another one right in the open there.

Majestic:
After you go through the halfpipe, go slightly right, there should be a patch
of trees, one of the snowmen is in there.

Majestic:
If you go right over the blue fence after the halfpipe, there will be a blue
jump in front of you (which leads into a small forest). In this forest, there
will be a big set of logs with an open route in the middle, go right through
the logs (make sure you stay straight), and the snowman is before the house.

Majestic:
There is a house (yes, a house, not the big building) near the end of the
level. On the left side of the house is the snowman, it's near the back end.

Hawkeye:
Go down the hill until you reach the arch rails (the rails that look like
arches). Go left down toward the logs there, and follow it for a little bit,
the snowman is in the middle of the path.

Hawkeye:
Follow the main path down Hawkeye until you see a house on the right side of
the path. There is an opening in the house. The snowman is right in the middle
of the path.

Majestic:
This snowman is near a snow mound with a rail going into the halfway. A good
plan is to stay near the forest on the left. When you get to the snow mound
connecting to the left side of the halfpipe, go left into the opening, there's
your snowman.

That's all of them!
If you've done all the High Score, Media, Sponsor and the Explore, your World
Rank should be 116. Let's move onto the next level!

=======================================================================
Snow Summit 1 B13
=======================================================================

Snow Summit 1 is more open than Brighton, and it has less Media icons on big
jumps. There still are good Media spots, and plenty of good jumps and rails, so
this will be a fun level.

Runs:
Miracle Mile:
This run is packed with pretty much everything, which can be good or bad. Good,
if you are good at everything, bad if you either like rails only, or jumps
only. This level has an _excelllent_ rail right at the beginning (it's silver,
on the right), and has a great big Media jump (it's red, near the beginning of
the level. At the beginning, you can go left or right, go right.

West Ridge:
West Ridge is for people who like jumps ONLY!! This run has very little rails
and tons of HUGE jumps (be sure to go left if you like the big jumps, right if
you want a short halfpipe). You can catch a lot of air off the jumps on the
left, so go that way to get the high score! (Careful though, there aren't a lot
of Media people that way).

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

High Score Challenge #1 - 20,000 pts.
Difficulty: Easy

It's not much harder than Brighton. There are plenty of big jumps with Media
Icons to get you some big points here. Right at the beginning, try doing a
trick and landing on the rail, if you can, you can probably beat all 3 in one
trick! Make sure to use the Red Jump with the Media Icon after this!

High Score Challenge #2 - 40,000 pts.
Difficulty: Easy

It still shouldn't be too hard to beat this, you've gotten 60,000 before, so
this shouldn't be any trouble. Use the air-to-rail combos and this should be
really easy (or just do a lot of cool big air combos, either one works).

High Score Challenge #3 - 75,000 pts.
Difficulty: Medium

This is where is starts getting hard. Remember to trick off near the Media
people, and do big combos on both rails and the air. It may take you a few
tries, but there are some really good jumps in there to make it a heck of a lot
easier. Remember to go slow on rails, and be sure to use the Media, they will
really help your score.

After all those points, you get rewarded with 3 new skill points.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Media Challenge #1 - 15,000 pts.
Difficulty: Easy

One big combo will do nicely here, but it will also work if you get a bunch of
little combos in. There are lots of Media people on the good jumps and rails,
so 15,000 shouldn't be that hard.

Media Challenge #2 - 30,000 pts.
Difficulty: Easy

If you use the rail with the media just to the right at the beginning of the
Miracle Mile, you can get some pretty big points (in my FAQ file I got 64,868).
There is also another jump just after the rail, it's a really big one and is
bound to get you alot of points (in my FAQ file, for this jump I got 48,549).
Not too hard.

Media Challenge #3 - 50,000 pts.
Difficulty: Easy-Medium

This could cause some trouble for some people out there, but remember to try
and combo your moves! If you're on a rail, do a Press, then go back to regular,
that's a combo (don't forget to go SLOW on rails). In mid-air, you should try
doing a Corkscrew (any Up diagonal), or a Rodeo (any Down diagonal), and combo
that with a grab. If you do all this, you'll beat it.

After beating these 3 challenges you'll get these 3 new media portfolio clips:

Year Book: Voted most likely to shred
The Sixth Street News wrote you up!
Wow, an article in the Times!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Sponsor Challenge #1 - Spins and flips
Difficulty: Easy

It's not that hard to beat, all you have to do is spins (360's, 540's, etc.)
and flips (Back Flip and Front Flip). Corkscrews and Rodeos are a combination
of a spin and a flip, so if you can do those, this challenge won't be too hard.
One last tip, try to stay out of the ice river, it is hard to control on it,
and there is barely any jumps in the middle anyway.

You win the following:
SnowPark clothing (a sweater and a hoodie)
A preferred parking pass! (All right! It does nothing!)

Sponsor Challenge #2 - Big Air
Difficulty: Medium

I hope you've been practicing your big air combos, becuase here's your chance
to shine. There are plenty of big jumps to pull off big tricks, so use them all
wisely. Try doing at least a 720 or double back/front flip, otherwise you won't
be doing that great (trust me, the jumps are big enough for those tricks).

You win the following:
Ride Clothing (a sweater and a hoodie)
              (Ride Jacket, Mammoth Model)
              (Ride Pants, Railside Model)
Iris Clothing (Iris Goggles, Profile Model)
(Iris Sweater and Hoodie, Iris Model)

Sponsor Challenge #3 - Rails
Difficulty: Easy-Medium

Back to the rails...Nose and Tail presses will get the meter up pretty
quick, but so will big rail combos too. Remember, air-to-rail combos count, so
if you can do one, by all means, do it, it will score you big points. One of
the air-to-rails is a red jump after the REALLY big rails (where Miracle Mile
starts), and just to the right. There is also one near the end, a small jump
onto a rail. This one can be tricky (the jump to rail, not the level) so be
careful!!

You win the following:
A Snow Summit season pass! (which does nothing)
Smith clothing (Smith Goggles, Anthem model)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Pro Challenge #1 - Travis Parker (beat Gunny's Gulch Sponsor Challenge)
Difficulty: Easy

Tricks:
1st: 1,233 pts. 6th: 992 pts.
2nd: 3,472 pts.
3rd: 1,351 pts.
4th: 1,644 pts.
5th: 1,299 pts.

He's not THAT hard. If you're worried about the 2nd trick, just do a back or
front flip, that'll do the trick (they're worth 3,500 pts if you haven't used
it previously). Remember to not hold A until you've almost reached the jump.

You win:
A new trick! - Melon to Crooked Cop (Melon + L)

Pro Challenge #2 - Jason Murphy (beat SlopeStyles's Sponsor Challenge)
Difficulty: Medium-Hard

Tricks:
1st: 7,913 pts. 6th: 6,445 pts.
2nd: 13,270 pts. 7th: 12,305 pts.
3rd: 786 pts. 8th: 12,047 pts.
4th: 1,000 pts.
5th: 4,892 pts.

Well this CAN be hard, but it shouldn't be too bad. You may think it's a joke
on 3 and 4, but make sure you get the easy ones, because the ice river tricks
can be a killer. Get a lot of speed going into the quarter pipe for the 2nd
trick. If you nail it right, at a slight angle, you should get plenty of air to
do an easy 15,000 point trick. The 5th-8th tricks (especially 7 and 8) can be
annoying, but if you have only one miss up to this point, yay! If not, well,
good luck, and don't forget to try to nail the jump as straight as you can.

You win:
2 new skills points! Woohoo!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Explore Challenge

Miracle Mile:
To the left of the a jump near the beginning (it's spraypainted yellow), go
into the forest, then in the clearing, there will be a snowman.

Miracle Mile:
Stay near the green fence to your right right away. Follow it into a BIG hill,
then go over it (don't jump, you might miss the snowman), in a little patch of
forest to the right of a ski lift station there is a snowman.

Miracle Mile:
Down down the hill a bit until you hit a RED JUMP with a Media icon over it. To
the right of that should be a series of 3 rails. Stay to the right of these
rails and follow them straight. Up ahead should be a yellow jump with a media
icon, and the snowman to the left of it.

West Ridge:
Take the path to the right right at the beginning of the run. Follow it until
it reaches a turn, after this, hug the left wall. It will turn from green fence
to poles and a rope, there will be a break in between these. It's the ice
river! Follow it until you see the final jump at the end, the snowman is just
to the right.

West Ridge:
Take the path to the right at the beginning. After the halfpipe, hug the green
fence. There should be a break in it (with a small jump in it), and the snowman
in straight from that jump.

West Ridge:
Take the path to the right at the beginning. After the turn, go up onto the
right bank, and follow it (staying close to the path), the snowman will be
right there.

West Ridge:
Follow the path left until you are at the point will 3 quarter pipes (half of a
half pipe). After the 2nd one, go off the path to the left, but stay near the
path and you'll see your snowman.

West Ridge:
Go to the ice river (how to get there is explained in the 4th snowman). Instead
of going over the jump with the Media person on it, go to the right of it (I
mean right so you're in the forest). Follow it straight for a while, and the
snowman will be sitting on top of a small hill.

That's all of them!
I hope you've completed all the challenges that you can here (if you did, your
World Rank should be 106). Now let's head off to Gunny's Gulch!

=======================================================================
Gunny's Gulch B14
=======================================================================

Gunny's Gulch is different from the other places you've visited so far, it only
has one High Score, Media, and Sponsor Challenge. What's really special about
this level, is once you complete these three challenges, your Rider Rank (which
is Local Rider now), will change, and you get some new gear! This place has
some very good jumps and a big halfpipe that goes all the way to the end of the
level (if you want to get to it, it's on the left at the beginning, after the
first few jumps). Now, on to the challenges!

Runs:
Gunny's Gulch
Uh, it's only one run with many ways of getting down it. To the left is a
halfpipe which runs all the way down to the end of the level. Straight ahead at
the beginning is a bit of everything, but more jumps than rails. In this level,
you should basically just go to the halfpipe, it's got 3 or 4 Media people, and
it's fun too!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

High Score Challenge - 75,000 pts.
Difficulty: Easy-Medium

If you think you like the halfpipe, go over the first big jump (it's Red with a
Media icon), then take a left. The halfpipe will give you big points
(especially the big Media jump in it, try landing on the rail). If you like
rails on the other hand, go right as soon as you start, there's a big rail for
you. It's not that hard, but practice in the halfpipe, you'll need to be good
for the Sponsor Challenge.

After doing this you get 2 skill points!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Media Challenge - 50,000 pts.
Difficulty: Easy-Medium

The first jump (go straight) is an excellent place to get media points. There
are also quite a few Media people in the halfpipe, and some along the main
course. It all depends on how you play. If you're not good at the halfpipe,
just go straight, there are plenty of Media icons along the way, and if you
like rails, there is a medium-length rail at the end with a Media person.

The following 1 thing is added into your porfolio:

I saw you in Heckler, sick!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Sponsor Challenge - Halfpipe
Difficulty: Medium

This can be easy or hard, depending on wether you used the halfpipe in the
other 2 challenges. If you didn't, go practice on it, then come back here. It's
a very long halfpipe, so vary your tricks, and don't try to grind on the
halfpipe, it's VERY difficult, and you'll probably crash. Remember to try to
combo your moves to make the meter go up faster.

You win the following:
Four Square Clothing (Jacket, Paramount Model)
                     (Pants, Mercer Model)
Dragon Clothing (Dragon Goggles, Dragon Model)
(Dragon Sweater and Hoodie, Dragon Model)

....and you unlock a new level!
(2 if you've been following my guide)

Not only that, but now you're a SHOP RIDER (yay!). You've got some new boards,
boots and binding, so check 'em out and put 'em on! (Be sure to use the new
gear to bring out your weak points or strengthen your strong points). Now we
can go do some of the Pro 1 Challenges, so go back to Brighton 1 and Snow
Summit 1, and I'll walk you through them.

I'll be nice and save you some time, here's the list of gear and the stat

Pro Challenge #1 - Mitch Nelson (beat Gunny's Gulch Sponsor Challenge)
Difficulty: Super Easy

Tricks:
1st: 1,000 pts.
2nd: 649 pts.
3rd: 250 pts.
4th: 162 pts.

This guy isn't hard to beat at all as you can see. You can do a 360, or just
hold a grab for a few seconds and you'll beat him. It's not really that hard.
One tip though: Don't hold A until you're almost at the jump, that way you
won't miss any tricks (<-- that goes for ALL pros).

You win:
A new trick! - Melon to Method (Melon + L + R)

Pro Challenge #2 - Mitch Nelson (beat SlopeStyle's Sponsor Challenge)
Difficulty: Medium

Tricks:
1st: 4,277 pts. 6th: 2,752 pts.
2nd: 5,855 pts.
3rd: 3,475 pts.
4th: 7,913 pts.
5th: 2,752 pts.

This guy AGAIN? But he's harder this time than last time. Either that or I've
made a horrible mistake on the name (which I doubt). Anyway, the tricks here
aren't really that bad, this is mostly just a "follow the path" run. Notice how
the 4th trick is a transition from one side of the pipe to the other. Just
simply Press and it's easy. For the other tricks, a simple double flip, or
Corkscrew/Rodeo will do nicely, comboed with a grab, just make sure you use a
different grab each time.

You win:
2 new skills! YAY!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Explore Challenge

**SIDE NOTE** Since there's only one run for this level, I'm just going to list
the location of the snowmen.

As soon as you start, turn right (sharp right, VERY sharp), the snowman will be
right there.

Go straight and VERY SLOWLY off the red jump go. Follow it to the end of the
left quarter pipe, the snowman is at the end.

To the right of the halfpipe is a bunch of banners and a rock face. Jump up it,
and the snowman is to the left of the Media person.

This one is hard to get! Go to the rock face from the previous snowman, but
don't go up it, follow it straight. Eventually you'll see a small rock island.
You have to grind across it, then go up a small hill, there's the snowman. Be
sure to have some speed on the grind!

Go straight right off the bat, and go straight as much as you can. You'll hit a
patch of trees later on, your snowman is in there.

Go to the rock face from some of the other snowmen. Follow the fence. You will
soon find a curved rock leading down. Grind down that and you'll hit your
snowman dead on.

When you start, go right past the red jump. Go between the quarter pipes (they
shouldn't have rails). After you're through those, there will be a big rail
beside you, go under it. On the side of the mountain is a rail. Grind it to
where it leads. The snowman is on your left on the edge.

Right when you start, follow the mountain on your right. You have to follow for
quite a while. Just before you go in the halfpipe, there will be a ledge beside
you, jump up and kill the snowman.

Now, if you've been listening to my Walkthrough, your World Rank should be 99
(be sure you've completed EVERY challenge so far, High Score, Media, Sponsor,
Pro and Explore). Now, on to the next level!!

=======================================================================
Brighton 2 B15
=======================================================================

Ah, remember good 'ol Brighton? Well, you get to go back to it now, with even
higher scores and more runs than last time (there is 3 new ones). I personally
like Thunder Road the best, it has lots of big jumps in it, and it leads on to
a lot of rails too! Well, onto the challenges.

Runs:
Majestic:
I don't need to repeat myself, do I? Just go see Brighton 1 (search for B12)
Hawkeye:
Another brought back run....if you want to see it, go back to Brighton 1
(search for B12).

Wren Hollow:
This run is basically a shortened version of Crest Express (if you go down the
left route). It starts halfway down Crest Express, so use it when you are
finding snowmen, because this is just a shortened run, ok?

Thunder Road:
My personal favorite run of all. Thunder Road can lead onto either Majestic or
Hawkeye, which you can decide at one certain fork (it's after a rail....uh,
after a jump with a Media rail and a Media icon on it, if that helps. The first
few jumps are great for getting Media points, and later on it's more of the
same as last time, with the Media in different places though.

Crest Express:
If you know what a "street skater" is (a person who uses mostly rails and small
jumps), this is like a course for the "street boader". It doesn't have any
really big jumps, nor really long rails.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

High Score Challenge #1 - 55,000 pts.
Difficulty: Medium

55,000 pts....that's enough to keep most people busy. It's gets harder though.
Anyway, I recommend you use Thunder Road, it has the most Media, and some
really big jumps to get points on (especially the first two!). Later on you get
some rails if you like those, this shouldn't be too hard for you, you've had to
get more points than this before!

High Score Challenge #2 - 95,000 pts.
Difficulty: Medium-Hard

Oooo...here's where we get into the big numbers. Tricking near the Media is
VERY important now, and pulling off good 30,000 point combos will really help
you too. Be sure to take all the big jumps you can get. Be careful not to push
it too much, or else you'll end up with a lot of lost points.

High Score Challenge #3 - 175,000 pts.
Difficulty: Hard

Wow, that's a lot of points, isn't it? Try as hard as you can not to crash, and
doing big 30,000 point combos is VERY important (usually doing a 540 or 720
Corkscrew/Rodeo w/stalefish or Mute works great for big points). Be sure to use
the Media whenever possible, it will help you out a lot. Remember to go slow on
rails to get more points.

After doing these 3 challenges you get 3 skill points.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Media Challenge #1 - 30,000 pts.
Difficulty: Easy

One or two good combos, or a long rail will do the trick here. It doesn't
matter how many combos you do, this level is longer than the previous ones, and
there is plenty of media people. Remember, try for 720's and go slow on rails.

Media Challenge #2 - 55,000 pts.
Difficulty: Medium

Getting big points off the first two jumps (one of them is Media) will help you
out a lot. After that, it's pretty easy. There are a lot of good jumps for you
to trick off of, making this a pretty easy challenge.

Media Challenge #3 - 120,000 pts.
Difficulty: Hard

Yikes! That's a lot of Media Points, don't you agree? You have to get some big
points off the big jumps NO MATTER WHAT. Be sure to mix up your tricks on these
jumps too, you'll get more points that way. When you get to the fork in the
road (if you use Thunder Road), go left, and grind across the 3 boxes, that's
about 20,000 points there. If you can pull another 3 combos worth about 32,500
each, you shouldn't have any problems.

You get the following new clips in your portfolio:

Yowza! A team photo shoot!
The snowboader tour mentioned you!
Check it out! A bluetorch.com article!

You'll also get a new level! But don't go yet, we've got work to finish.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Sponsor Challenge #1 - Spins and flips
Difficulty: Medium

This guy can be a real pain sometimes. You have to do AT LEAST a 720 or double
back/front flip to really impress him and get the meter to go up, so don't
waste your time on the little jumps with no air. There are plenty of big jumps
to get the meter flying toward the "Amped" level, so don't worry, remember 720
and double flips ONLY (to get him impressed)!!

You win the following:
Burton Clothing (Burton Jacket, Tactic Flyweight Model)
                (Burton Pants, Access Model)

Sponsor Challenge #2 - Off/axis tricks
Difficulty: Easy-Medium

Off/axis tricks (if you don't know) are trick that make your boarder go
inverted (upsidedown in other words). Things like Back/Front Flips and
Corkscrews/Rodeos will do great here. Just remember to do these things on some
nice jumps, and this will be a walk in the park. One last thing, try not to
crash, it'll take the meter down more than you'd think.

You win the following:
Sims Clothing (Sims Jacket, Contra Stripe Model)
              (Sims Pants, EXP10i Model)

Sponsor Challenge #3 - Tweaked grabs
Difficulty: Medium-Impossible*
*You're given some tweaks if you don't have any. (99% sure)

Don't be scared, if you listened to my guide, it's Medium. If you didn't bother
doing the pro challenges before this, it's impossible (you don't have any if
you don't do the Pro 1 challenges). Your melon will have all 3 tweaked grabs,
so use that, and nothing else. Be sure to mix up the tweaks, or this is going
to be hard. Heh, I've noticed that sometimes you don't even have to tweak! Uh,
but it's better if you do.

You win the following:
Dragon Clothing (Dragon Goggles, Dragon Model)
Hansen's Clothing (a hoodie, Hansen's Model)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Pro Challenge #1 - Mikey LeBlanc (beat Gunny's Gulch Sponsor Challenge)
Difficulty: Hard

Tricks:
1st: 5,602 pts. 6th: 2,803 pts. 11th: 4,233
2nd: 5,508 pts. 7th: 10,919 pts.
3rd: 1,905 pts. 8th: 8,814 pts.
4th: 1,098 pts. 9th: 8,903 pts.
5th: 2,522 pts. 10th: 3,401 pts.

As you can tell my simply looking at the trick scores, this isn't easy at all.
Your best bet is to do a Corscrew/Rodeo for the first two tricks. After that,
it's easy grinds and a few jumps before the 10,000 pointer. You HAVE TO do a
Corkscrew/Rodeo (at least 540) with some sort of grab for 7 to 9, then 10 and
11 just flips with grabs!

You win:
A new trick! - Mute to Mute Palm (Mute + R)

Pro Challenge #2 - J. Mendenhall (beat SlopeStyle's Sponsor Challenge)
Difficulty: Hard

Tricks:
1st: 9,835 pts. 6th: 11,555 pts.
2nd: 9,606 pts. 7th: 7,801 pts.
3rd: 9,674 pts. 8th: 14,784 pts.
4th: 3,725 pts. 9th: 13,185 pts.
5th: 21,631 pts. 10th: 4,203 pts.

Yeah, this guy IS hard. The trick scores are quite high here. It took me 5
tries to beat this, so make sure you're doing quite well before you attempt
this. The best way is my secret way of getting points. This will go in one of
the later sections, but I'll put it here, just for the sake of saving you some
time. To pull off big points, do a Flip, then do a Spin. Be sure it says
"Double (insert flip inversion here) Flip" before you spin, then do as much as
you can. This actually gives off more points, and it WILL help on that 20,000
point killer. Use this one for the 10 tricks here, and Presses on the rails,
you'll be fine. Don't forget to vary, you don't want to lose points in this
kind of situation.

You win:
2 skill points! (Pft, that's all for this?)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Explore Challenge

Crest Express:
Don't take any turns and go up onto the snowbanks on the left. After following
them (on them), the snowman should be up on your right.

Crest Express:
Don't take any turns, and go straight for a while. Once you see a Media person
on your right and what looks like a big drop, stay near the left side. The
snowman is on a jump to the left of a fallen tree.

Crest Express:
As soon as you start, go to the right. Just before a jump with the Media and to
the right of it is your snowman.

Thunder Road:
This one is difficult to explain. When you start, go to the right and follow
the edge. After crusing for a bit, you should see a log with another log on top
of it. Cut to the right in the forest here and go straight. When it clears up,
there should be a jump with the snowman on it.

Thunder Road:
When you come to a fork in the run, take a right. On the left, you should see a
yellow building. Go around it on the right side, and head left (I really hope
that doesn't confuse you), there should be a blue fence with an arrow pointing
right. Follow the arrow until there is no more fence, then take a short left.
The snowman is to your right just past a jump.

Hawkeye:
Hmmm, back to Hawkeye. This snowman is pretty tough to get, especially if you
don't have a high jump stat (it doesn't have to be too high). When you clear
the arch rails, there is a quarter pipe up ahead (with a house after that).
Build up as much speed as you can here. When you reach the end of the quarter
pipe, it will start slanting back down, you must jump here at the right time
(you'll find the right time, about halfway down the slant), then jump onto the
house, the snowman is on the chimney (it doesn't hurt to jump for that snowman,
but only jump if you're heading up the house slope, not down).

Majestic:
Near the end of the run on the right, there is a building, and the snowman is
on top. Much easier said than done. Build up A LOT of speed, then use the jump
after the 2 log rails to jump on. If you do it right, you will be able to grind
on the rail and hit the snowman, if you overshoot, no biggie, just grind that
edge.

Crest Express:
Follow the ski lift down the hill. Once you reach the REALLY big drop (you'll
know which one it is), keep heading foward. Soon after, there will be a jump
with a fallen tree beside it and it has a Media icon. Go between the tree and
the jump, the snowman is right at the bottom of the jump.

All right, now, we're done here for now. Your World Ranking should now be 88,
let's head on to the next level!!

=======================================================================
Stratton 1 B16
=======================================================================

This course isn't one of my favorites, but what needs to be done has to be
done, right? It's got a good balance of rails and jumps (which can be good or
bad), some nice air-to-rail combo points, and can be annoying sometimes because
you get a rail when you need a jump, or you pick a fork in the road which leads
to a rail area, but you like air better. Anyway, enough of my yapping, time for
the walkthrough for this level.

Runs:
American Express:
We get to ride on a credit card? No, you don't, it's just I find it funny as a
name. This run and Lower Standard are pretty similar, and it doesn't really
matter which one you pick, because right at the start you can pick the other
run (they start off right next to eachother). They both have a good balance of
jumps and rails. I think it's easier to do Lower Standard for jumps though.

Lower Standard:
I personally prefer this run over American Express simply because it's easier
to get to the big jump parts. They are both fairly similar (not exactly, they
have about the same number of rails and jumps, American has more rails,
Standard has more jumps). They are both good runs, but I like this one better.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

High Score Challenge #1 - 60,000 pts.
Difficulty: (Should be) Easy

OK, you've done more points than this, and you know it. I explained the runs
before, so pick if you like jumps or rails, and stick to it. 60K shouldn't be
too hard to get at this point in the game (if you think this is hard, just wait
until Stratton 2 - #3... 425,000 pts. anyone?). Just do your best and you'll
get it.

High Score Challenge #2 - 110,000 pts.
Difficulty: Medium-Hard

With the amount of skill you (should) have, this shouldn't be too hard. On
Lower Standard, I know there is a GREAT media rail, so take it slow and do a
press the whole way (when you get off, you should have around 50,000 pts...).
Later on in the level, there is a jump (It has no marking on it), with a big
rail beside it. If you go off this jump and go the right way off it (it's hard
to say), you'll land on the rail, hold your balance for the way, and you should
get quite a few points.

High Score Challenge #3 - 200,000 pts.
Difficulty: Hard

Two hundred thousand points....that's a lot! You really have to make your
combos count, and try to do presses as long as you can on the rails (you really
should slow down before going on a rail, you'll need to from here until the
end). Use the Big Media Jumps and Rails to help you out, because like I said,
Media practically doubles your score. So the main tips: Go slow before rails,
use big jumps whenever you can, and USE THE MEDIA! Do these three things (with
720 Corkscrews and Rodeos, with a grab on the jumps, Presses on the rails), and
you should pull this off.

After doing these three challenges, you are awarded 3 skill points!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Media Challenge #1 - 30,000 pts.
Difficulty: WAY too Easy

Seriously, if you can beat this, that's just _really_ sad. You've done better
than this in Brighton 1! The first jump and rail in Lower Standard is all you
should need to get this (just remember to go slow on the rail, and you can
probably get this on just the rail).

Media Challenge #2 - 60,000 pts.
Difficulty: Easy

There are plenty of good Media spots, such as the first jump on Lower Standard,
the first rail, and the "no marking jump", has a great rail at the bottom of
it. (<-- if you want to get to this rail, don't jump off the jump, just go over
it, it's just a little to the right). Just remember to do your BIG combos for
the Media, not anyone else.

Media Challenge #3 - 120,000 pts.
Difficulty: Medium

I would highly recommend that you use the first jump and first rail with a big
combo to do this one. I can understand if you don't beat it the first time,
this is A LOT of Media points to do. If you want to pull this off with ease,
don't do any tricks that don't have Media icons on the jump/rail (you get less
and less points for each trick you do the same of). Keep a sharp eye open for
Media icons on this one, there are a lot to name, but not enough time (you want
me to finish this, don't you, I'm just naming the important ones). The "no
marking" jump has a great Media rail at the bottom of it, just don't press the
whole thing, you'll fall for sure (start pressing about halfway).

After beating these three Challenges, the following will be added to your
ever-growing Portfolio:

Check it! Onboard website, Yeah!
Snowboarder IPO! You're going off!
Boarder abducted by Aliens!

You even get a new level! (if you've done the High Score Challenges first) But
don't go there yet, we still have work to do here.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Sponsor Challenge #1 - Rails
Difficulty: Easy-Medium

Nothing in specific, just "rails". You can do air-to-"rail" combos, you can do
"rail" presses, anything that has a rail involved can be done here. The longer
you stay on the rail, the more "amped" the Sponsor is going to be, so slow down
before going on the rails, and do Presses, you should be fine. Funny story: I
was doing great on the run (I had the Sponsor up to the Cool part), when I
screwed up on a rail, taking the meter to 0! I was...annoyed (to keep the
language safe :) but I pulled it off in the end. I've also noticed that every
10,000 pts. or so brings this Sponsor up a Mood <-- only this one.

You win the following:
DC Clothing (Hoodie, DC Model)
Drake Clothing (Sweater and Hoodie, Drake Model)

Sponsor Challenge #2 - Spins and Flips
Difficulty: Medium

This isn't as easy as it sounds, even though it's Spins and Flips. Try not to
do anything less than a 720 (insert trick name here) or a double front/back
flip, as it's not going to do a lot of good for you. Don't go off the little
tiny jumps that barely go off the ground (the bumps, in other words), try to go
for the jump that have some marking or elevation. Remember, at LEAST 720 (trick
name) and double front/back flip, this should be easy.

You win the following:
Smith Clothing (Goggles, Triad Model)
One Ball Jay Clothing (Hoodie, One Ball Jay Model)

Sponsor Challenge #3 - Rails-Nose/Tail Press
Difficulty: Easy-Medium

You know what a rail press is, right? If you don't, check back to the rail
tricks section (A16, if you don't want to go back to the Table of Contents to
check). OK, how bout I give you some tips now....Be sure to go slow on the
Rails, you'll make the Sponsor happier if you stay on for longer times. It's OK
if you do a 50-50 or a Boardslide on the rail, but presses COMBINED with a
50-50 or Boardslide will net you a great place on the meter. So go slow, and
combo your Presses with a 50-50 or Boardslide.

You win the following:
Analog Clothing (Jacket, Assault Model)
                (Pants, Head Hunter Model)
Anon Clothing (Goggles, Theorom Model)

There's still more Challenges to do...

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Pro Challenge #1 - Bjorn Leines (beat Gunny's Gulch Sponsor Challenge)
Difficulty: Medium

Tricks:
1st: 10,435 pts. 6th: 5,486 pts.
2nd: 9,929 pts.
3rd: 5,175 pts.
4th: 4,270 pts.
5th: 6,457 pts.

This guy shouldn't be too hard for you right now. His tricks shouldn't be too
hard to beat. I admit #4 is a bit hard (it's on a rail), but go slow and do a
press and you should be fine. For the first trick a 720 Corkscrew w/grab should
get you the points you need, and you can do the same for the 2nd (except do a
Rodeo, just to be on the safe side). The rest should be no problem.

You win:
A new trick! - Mute to FS Mute (Mute + L)

Pro Challenge #2 - Jason Brown (beat SlopeStyle's Sponsor Challenge)
Difficulty: Hard-Very Hard

Tricks:

5th: 9,665 pts. 10th: 7,140 pts.

Wow, this guy is TOUGH. One of the reasons my brother stopped playing for a
while was because of him. The tricks are in tough places some of them, and have
some high points on him. The first two tricks, just pull off a Corkscrew/Rodeo,
with a grab, and use my "secret" way, which is found in the Pro 2 Walkthrough
in the previous level. Between the 4th and 5th tricks is a tricky little
situation. Go quick on the rail, try and get on the rail on the left, not the
right. Then quickly turn in to get the next trick. Some of the rails require
some pretty good timing which I haven't quite got myself, I only make it about
67% of the time. It may take you a few runs, but it'll pay off in the end, when
you're forced to bust out big tricks like this. Just remember, combo you're
moves, and vary them. It's spilt about half in air, half on rail. Good luck,
this is tough!

You win:
2 skill points! (Well, I guess self-satisfaction is good enough...)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Explore Challenge:

Lower Standard:
At the start, there is a fork, take a left at the fork. Soon after going over a
jump, there will be a rail held up by a wooden support. Your snowman is under
there.

Lower Standard:
Take the left path at the start and follow it for a LONG time (don't take any
forks). There will be a bunch of rails on your left. On one of them, I'd say
halfway down the run, there is a snowman on a small rail on the left of the
path.

Lower Standard:
Take the right path at the beginning. At the VERY next fork, take a left.
Follow this path for a while (it's not that long). Eventually, the snowman will
just be sitting on a jump just before the paths meet.

Lower Standard:
Take the first two right turns on the first two forks. After that, don't take
ANY forks in the road (just keep heading on the path you're on). Eventually,
you'll come to the best air-to-rail jump (it has a rail beside the jump), go
over that. Right after this, there is a red jump and a rail beside it, follow
the rail. You'll soon come to a series of jumps, after this will be a halfpipe.
You can either go up on the left side (easy) or go in the halfpipe, do a
Corkscrew or Rodeo, then grind the side and jump to get the snowman (hard).
Either way, the snowman is on the left edge of the halfpipe.

Lower Standard:
After the halfpipe (described above), take a sharp right RIGHT after the jump.
The snowman is on the house. If you want, you can just jump off the right edge
of the halfpipe (it's easier, but if you're past the halfpipe, you'll have to
restart your run).

American Express:
Right off the start, take a left. Soon after this turn, keep going, right after
a rail, you're snowman is sitting right in the middle of the run.

American Express:
Go right after you start. At the next fork, go right again. Right after you go
past this second fork, go sharp left, there should be an igloo right in the
middle of the path, with your snowman right in front of it. (I wonder if that
igloo is his....?)

American Express:
Go right on the first two forks. Keep heading straight. About halfway down the
run, there should be a long (LONG) rail with a media icon at the end of it,
with a red pipe rail after it (I call it a pipe rail because it looks like it's
made of pipes). Soon after this, you should see a silver pipe rail (looks like
the red one, kinda), and the snowman is under it.

That's all for this level so far, your World Rank (if you've been following my
guide) should be 77. Now, on to Altibahn 1!

=======================================================================
Altibahn 1 B17
=======================================================================

This is one of my favorite levels. It has NO RAILS (or good ones anyway), so if
you're a rail person, I'm sorry....you'll just have to learn the ways of the
jump. It's very wide open, and has lots of great jumps to do tricks off of. I
hate doing the Explore challenge for this one...it's so wide open :) I'll do it
anyway....it's my job!

Runs:
Megaschlucht (which means "Mega Canyon" translated <-- thanks to Sebastian
Flugge):
Don't ask me how to pronounce it, I don't think I can speak this (I believe
it's German, anyone know?). All I know is this (in my opinion) is the better of
the two runs. It has more jumps in it than the other one. It also has the best
route into the canyon, when even now you can do a Triple Back/Front Flip with
ease (you won't land it though). I love this run.

Gletsherbahn (which means "Glacier Run" translated <-- thanks to Sebastian
Flugge):
The names of these runs is the only thing I truly hate about this run. I find
this run too wide open to do me any good. It's more of a "street boader" type
run (I mentioned it in a previous level, Brighton 2!). It doesn't have many big
jumps, but it has some tree rails, but they aren't very long. It's not bad, but
I like the other one WAY better.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

High Score Challenge #1 - 60,000 pts.
Difficulty: Medium

This shouldn't be too hard for you by now. Use the Media jumps (head left off
Megaschlucht, then go off the middle jump, then take a right, there's another
Media jump, what am I doing, I'm giving away my Media tips here! Oops!). Use
any big jumps you can find, then go into the Canyon in the middle, there are
some great jumps in there.

High Score Challenge #2 - 100,000 pts.
Difficulty: Medium-Hard

From this point on, 100,000+ pts. is going to be VERY common. Get used to it
here. Use the Media whenever you can, and head into the Canyon when doing
Megaschlucht (<-- I hate that name, hard to type). There are lots of good spots
to trick off of in this level, especially in the canyon. Follow the path I told
you about in Challenge #1.

High Score Challenge #3 - 170,000 pts.
Difficulty: Hard-Very Hard

I admit, even this can be hard. You _have_ to pull off big combos by the Media,
especially on the first two jumps on the left of Megachulucht (y'know, the ones
from Challenge #1). I, for this run, would NOT recommend you go into the
Canyon. Instead, after the 2nd of the first two "Good" jumps on the left, just
head straight, there are lots of good jumps along the way for you to get points
off. This is difficult, just remember to vary your tricks.

For beating all this, you are rewarded with 3 skill points (yay!). Now for the
Media Challenges.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Media Challenge #1 - 30,000 pts.
Difficulty: Cakewalk

This shouldn't be a problem by now. The first two jumps in Megaschlucht should
be all you need to get this. Just remember, Corkscrews and Rodeo's are your
friend, and don't forget, use your grabs.

Media Challenge #2 - 50,000 pts.
Difficulty: Easy

Media seems to be getting easier and easier isn't it? Maybe just because this
is Altibahn 1, not 2. Remember, try to do Combos near the Media, it'll get you
up there faster (when I do the Combos section, you'll know what I mean). The
first two on Megaschlucht should get you a lot of points, and beware of one of
the first Media jumps in the Canyon, it's really hard to do (it's on a turn).
The Media jump on the end of the Canyon is really good too. Vary your tricks
and this should be easy.

Media Challenge #3 - 100,000 pts.
Difficulty: Medium-Hard

Yeah, this can get hard. Use the tips from Challenges 1 and 2, use the ones
from the run description too. The only thing I can add onto the ones I already
have is BE SURE TO COMBO. If you do, it shouldn't be really hard. If you aren't
good (really good) at combos yet, go practice, then come back, you'll need to
be good at them from here on in.

After beating these three you get the following Media clips added to your
Portfolio:

Look, Bluetorch TV gave you props!
You're killing it! Onboard magazine again!
Snowboarder magazine sequence!

Now for the Sponsors....

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Sponsor Challenge #1 - Big Air
Difficulty: Easy-Medium

"Big air" is 720+ on spins, and double+ on flips. Combo these two and you'll
get the meter flying up (that's what a Corkscrew and Rodeo are, a combo of a
spin and flip). Don't waste your time on the little jumps with no air, they
won't impress the sponsor here. Go for the bigger jumps which you can actually
get some air off of. When you get to the Canyon, be careful on what trick you
do here, as it's hard to judge on how to land. Try to remember which way you
jumped. Around the second corner of the Canyon, there is a jump which had Media
on it in the High Score/Media Challenges, use this one. Just after the Canyon,
use that final jump to get to/keep the Sponor in the "Amped" mood.

You win the following:
Iris Clothing (Iris Goggles, Convex Model)
SOS Clothing (Sweater and Hoodie, SOS Model)

Sponsor Challenge #2 - Off-axis tricks
Difficulty: Medium

You remember what off-axis trick are, don't you? Well, if you don't, they are
things like Corkscrews, Rodeos, Back/Front Flips, things like that. This would
get an Easy rating, but there aren't many good jumps to get the meter up with.
It's still not really that hard, just remember to go into the Canyon (it's on
the left) and use the jumps that go straight (we can't take risks, the meter
would drop A LOT), no jumps that go into the walls, ok? As well as the straight
jumps, use jumps that will give you some air too. Don't push it, just aim for a
720 or double, and you'll be fine.

You win the following:
Special Blend Clothing (Jacket, Equator Model)

Sponsor Challenge #3 - Tweaked Grabs
Difficulty: Medium

More Tweaked Grabs? Awww. Well, this time around, we have a few more up our
sleeves, don't we? (Your answer is yes) Check out the Pro 1's rewards for the
tweaks we have now, we have all 3 Stalefish tweaks, and 2 Mute Tweaks (the L
one and the R one). Use these 5 tweaks, vary them, and use the good, big,
straight jumps, and this shouldn't be too much of a problem. Head off to the
Canyon, or if you want, the Ice River to the right of it. Either one is good,
and full of jumps you can use to make this Challenge a walk in the park. (The
Canyon has big jumps, but less of them, the Ice River has more jumps, but
they're smaller, it's really up to you to decide).

You win the following:
Volcom Clothing (Jacket, Rising Sun Model)

Almost done with this level, only the Pro and Explore Challenges to go...

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Pro Challenge #1 - Gigi Ruf (beat Gunny's Gulch Sponsor Challenge)
Difficulty: Medium-Hard

Tricks:
1st: 17,975 pts. 6th: 9,027 pts.
2nd: 18,836 pts. 7th: 2,810 pts.
3rd: 7,093 pts.
4th: 1,836 pts.
5th: 3,955 pts.

As you can see, this guy can be pretty hard if you aren't capable of doing big
tricks. Don't be too intimidated by his first two tricks, they aren't going to
kill you. They have _very_ big jumps for you to get points off of. You'll
probably have to push it a bit to get the points (it doesn't matter if you
fall, just try again). Only the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 6th are hard, the rest aren't
that bad. Vary your tricks, and don't hold A until you're close to the jump,
and you should be fine.

You win the following:
A new trick! - Mute to Japan (Mute + L + R)

Pro Challenge #2 - Bobby Meeks (beat SlopeStyle's Sponsor Challenge)
Difficulty: Hard

Tricks:
1st: 10,410 pts. 6th: 9,956 pts.
2nd: 11,530 pts. 7th: 24,070 pts.
3rd: 24,658 pts.
4th: 9,323 pts.
5th: 1,000 pts.

The first two tricks are tight together. You barely have time to react, so go
fast. A 720 Corkscrew/Rodeo with grab works well here. Hold A right after the
jump, and get ready to release. The third trick can be tricky, especially with
that rocky wall there. A good strategy here is to go to the right of the jump
and come on to the jump so you face left, if you don't get it, like this:

                                 \\
                    (Wall) (Jump)
                                   \\
                                    \\ <-- Your path

Get it? I hope so. Anyway, the 4th trick can be difficult if you go off the
jump wrong (like I did, the 2nd time). Just jump as you go up. A simple flip
and spin will do great. The 5th trick is a freebie, a 360 will do it (unless
you've done one previously for some odd reason). The 6th can be tricky, make
sure you jump on the jump, and not the plateau right after it. Good luck on the
last one....do a Corkscrew/Rodeo that you haven't done yet. Wow, I wrote a lot,
oh well...that's good!

You win:
2 skill points! Yay!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Explore Challenge

**SIDE NOTE** I really hate doing the explore challenge for this level, as it's
so wide open. If I don't have the EXACT location, please forgive me, as it's
very hard to get the exact spot on some of them.

Megaschlucht:
As soon as you start, take a sharp left. The "first two good jumps" I'm always
talking about (see High Score section), by the first one, the jump on the
farthest left, the snowman is right after it.

Megaschlucht:
Follow the left edge of the canyon for a bit. Once you see a tree in front of
you, and the canyon kinda drops/goes in, slide (not jump) down the side of the
canyon. The snowman is on that ledge.

Megashclucht:
Near the end of the canyon, there is a small ledge on the left, with the
snowman on it. It's tricky to get up there, but you can "fly" over the snowman
and it sill counts.

Gletsherbahn:
Right when you start, take a left (sharp left). Soon enough, there will be a
hill in the middle of the path. Go over the hill, and in the forest there,
there is your snowman (try and take the left as soon as possible, this will
make more sense).

Gletsherbahn:
Try and head as straight as you can right off the start, then keep going
straight for a while (be sure to build some speed). When you get over a BIG
hill (you'll know which one it is), head left (not too sharply). Near the edge
in a small patch of trees (you can see him from far away), your snowman lies.

Megaschlucht:
Just to the right of where you start, there is a jump. Go off of it the way it
points, then go straight. If you went the right way, you should get to a jump.
Go past (not over) it, and head right RIGHT after the fence, the snowman is
behind the two trees (right behind one of them).

Gletsherbahn:
Go straight for a while, then turn to the left and get to the ice river. Near
the end of the river is a jump which leads onto the part of the cliff that
doesn't look so rocky. Jump up. Take a SHARP left and try to keep your speed.
Keep going straight (if you go for a while, and you're on the right track,
there should be jumps on your right). Keep heading straight, and on the edge,
the snowman is right beside a jump.

Gletsherbahn:
This one took me a while to find, but he's VERY easy to get. Go to the ice
river (which is the right path in the fork of wether to go into the canyon or
not), then after the river, there should be a fairly big jump to your right.
Take a slight left, and there should be a patch of trees, the snowman is near
the left side in them.

That's all for this level. If you've been following the Walkthrough, your World
Rank should now be 66. We're almost done the game only 4 levels to go, let's
keep going!

=======================================================================
SlopeStyle B18
=======================================================================

Another competition level, where you will get "promoted" in your rider ranking.
There are only a few Challenges in this level (1 High Score, 1 Media, 1
Sponsor, 3 Pros (which only 2 after we beat this we can do, and 1 Explore), so
it won't take long). Good luck, here's where you get a promotion that you'll
like to say...

Runs:
SlopeStyle:
This is the only competition level that actually has 2 runs in it. SlopeStyle
and Tenku are both rail levels, but this one is more. If you follow the path
the whole time, you get a few jumps and a bunch of rails. Even if you go over
the banners (use a jump, the banners are on the left after the 3rd jump), it's
still rail.

Tenku:
I like this run better. It has more jumps than SlopeStyle does, and is a bit
longer. If you want, you can still get to rails (and this level has a KILLER
rail, which will be explained later) by going right after the cliff (you'll
know, it's after a bridge). If you go left after this cliff, you'll get more
jumps.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

High Score Challenge - 180,000 pts.
Difficulty: Medium-Hard

This is where the game starts to get pretty tough. Your best bet to get this
score is (and I mean it, but not too much...) to push it. Aim for 720s and
900s, and use the Media. This is an awesome rail in this, if you use either
Tenku or SlopeStyle. On Tenku, after the "cliff" (you'll know what I'm talking
about), go right, there should be a REALLY long rail (you'll know that when you
see it too). This is a great one, and you can easily get 40,000+ pts. on it. To
get to this on SlopeStyle, after the 3rd jump, go over the banners, it's just
on the right side. There are lots of good Media spots on this, especially on
Tenku, that's why I like it. The "cliff" has a Media icon, where you can get a
lot of points.

You win 2 skill points for beating this Challenge. Now, onto the Media!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Media Challenge - 110,000 pts.
Difficulty: Medium-Hard

This can be pretty difficult simply because they're aren't a lot of good Media
spots in either run. I think Tenku is your best bet though, here's a
walkthrough of the best way (I think). When you start, go straight, ignore the
first jump with Media, it's hard to land. Take a right here, then stay left of
the bridge. Grind the branch which leads onto a big jump with the Media (if you
jumped off the rail right at the end, you should be able to pull off a 900 to
1080 easily). After this, take a sharp right, you should see another Media
person. Grind the rail which leads up to him. Then grind the big rail, and the
rail to the left of the wall after that. After this, use the jump to the right
of the rail up ahead (it's before the bridge), and it leads you to Media. After
this, head over to the next jump and go over. After this, don't go to the rail
that leads more down the hill, go to the one that leads across to the left of
it, this one has a Media at the end, so just Press across the whole way, this
should give you the final points you need. If this doesn't work, just head left
after the cliff, there are some good jumps if you stay left of the wall.

After beating this, you get the following added to your portfolio:

Freerun magazine interview!

Now, to the next challenge which will give you your new promotion, the Sponsor
Challenge!!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Sponsor Challenge - Rails
Difficulty: Medium-Hard

I remember the VERY first time I ever tried this level when I rented the game
so so long ago, and it was VERY tough, so don't feel bad if you can't do it.
The best way is to go slowly on the rails, and just before you fall off, jump
off. Do presses as much as you can on the short ones, as they give off more
points and will bring the bar up faster, and just normal 50-50s or Boardslides
on the long ones. You can get on the "big" rail, if you use the method I'm
about to explain. Try not to fall, it takes a lot off the meter. Right at the
beginning, don't go straight, but go up the hill to the left, and there's a
rail straight ahead after you go up. This rail leads onto the bridge, which you
can grind across (that's just one of many rail combos). So remember, go slow,
and try to vary your rail tricks (even end some of the rails with a 360 if you
can, but don't try if the rails low). Good luck!

You win the following:
Sessions Clothing (Jacket, Battlestar Model)
                  (Pants, Lando Model)
Flux Clothing (Hoodie and Sweater, Flux Model)

Pro Challenge #1 - Kurt Wastell (beat SlopeStyle's Sponsor Challenge)
Difficulty: Medium-Hard

Tricks:
1st: 16,072 pts. 6th: 6,033 pts.
2nd: 15,112 pts. 7th: 2,432 pts.
3rd: 6,198 pts. 8th: 13,420 pts.
4th: 11,280 pts.
5th: 10,386 pts.

This is IS pretty hard to beat. It's hard to write down points and do tricks at
the same time (thank God for the pause button), but luckily I have a way for
you to beat this. The first two tricks are off nice jumps, so pull a 720+
Corkscrew/Rodeo with a grab to beat both of these (if you used a Corkscrew on
one, use Rodeo on the other, vary your tricks!). The 3rd is an easy jump, do a
720 or Double Front/Back flip with a grab, you should get it. The 4th is a
rail, go slow, and do a press the whole way (don't jump off), you should get
it. The next two can be tricky, as you've used most of your high point tricks,
but do a Cork or Rodeo and you should be fine (if you want, go for a double
flip). The rest after that aren't that hard!

For beating him, you win:
A new trick! - Stalefish to Stinky Stalefish (Stalefish + R)

Pro Challenge #2 - Jenna Meyen
Difficulty: Hard-Very Hard

Tricks:
1st: 9,487 pts. 6th: 43,643 pts.
2nd: 16,865 pts. 7th: 27,373 pts.
3rd: 17,026 pts. 8th: 8,328 pts.
4th: 25,810 pts. 9th: 29,187 pts.
5th: 13,318 pts.

This person is VERY HARD, no kidding. Back to the days when I got here the
first time, I was stuck on her for a long time...but, now that I'm better, I
can make your life easier for SOME of the tricks. The first trick, do a double
front flip with a grab. Second and third tricks, do a Corkscrew/Rodeo 720 with
a tweaked grab (aim for a 900 if you can), and you should pull it off. The 4th
trick, press on the branch that goes out, then 720 with grab down, and you
should get about 30,000 pts. Fifth trick, do a Corkscrew/Rodeo, with a
different grab then what you've been doing so far. Don't be too scared by the
6th, just press for a while, then go to 50-50, and, if you can, jump to the
rail that connects to it. The 7th is basically the same, press all the way this
time (unless you think you're going to fall, then 50-50). The 8th is easy, just
do a double flip. The final trick, well, chances are, you're going to screw up
(I did), but you can try a Cork/Rodeo.

For doing this painful pro, you are rewarded with 2 skill points!

Explore Challenge

Tenku:
This one is easy to see, not so easy to get to. On a hill with Media lies your
snowman (at the beginning), the hard part is getting there. Your best bet is to
use the little jump thing on the side of it, and just run over the snowman in
mid-air. Don't hold A/Foward until you are past the little jump that's just
before it.

Tenku:
After the previous snowman, head to the right a bit (so you don't go off the
jump). You'll see a bridge to your right. Grind the left side of the bridge
right into the snowman.

Tenku:
If you've done the Pro 2 Challenge, this is a lot easier to explain. After the
"big" (really, really long one...) rail, or the 6th trick rail in Pro 2, go to
the right, just inside the wall. On the left side of the wall, just at the end
is the snowman.

Tenku:
Follow the left treeline for the most part of the run (ALWAYS follow it, even
behind the walls). Eventually, near the end, you'll reach a green jump with the
snowman on it.

Tenku:
Follow the tree line, and always stay near it. Once to get to a section where
there is wall to your right, near the end (on the wall) is the snowman. I hit
this with luck, but you can hit him from one of the jumps, just aim, and go!

Tenku:
Go past the previous snowman, and then to the right of the red jump. You should
see the bridge to your right. Go around the back of the bridge, but go parallel
to it, you should see the snowman by a cameraman.

Tenku:
This can also be hit from SlopeStyle, but it was faster this way. From the
previous snowman (I'm lazy aren't I? :) go on to the main path, and take a
left, just under the rail nearest you (it goes toward the end of the level) is
the snowman.

SlopeStyle:
The first and only (well, in this FAQ anyway) for SlopeStyle. Follow the main
path. When you start going downhill (after the 2nd big jump), your snowman is
hiding RIGHT behind the red jump.

Yay, just a few more levels! Your World Rank should be 54, if you've resisted
the urge to play new levels and follow my Walkthrough...

(Don't worry that I skipped a few sections, they'll be here in a future
update...)

Snow Summit 2 B19
=========================================================================

We're almost done this game....only a measly 4 levels to go, but the hardest of
them all. This level is just basically more of Snow Summit 1, and the
extensions are kinda boring, I don't really like this level...but for the sake
of the FAQ, I must do it!

Runs:
Miracle Mile:
(points to Snow Summit 1 - B13)
West Ridge:
(points to Snow Summit 1 - B13)
Summit Run:
My favorite for this level, it's more jump oriented than Ego Trip. Plenty of
nice jumps, and even better, it leads on to Miracle Mile, which lets you go on
the really big rail right at the beginning. Big jumps here, don't waste 'em,
you'll need all the points you can get.
Ego Trip:
When I do the Explore Section, I'll do this, I don't want to get unnecessary
points....

High Score Challenge #1 - 160,000 pts.
Difficulty: Medium-Hard

It's not really that difficult, this is nothing compared to some of the scores
you'll be having to get soon *cough*fourhundredthousand*cough*. Anyway, I did
this on Summit Run. Your best bet is to get as many points as possible on the
first jump. If you can (I didn't do this) then get up on the ski lift and go as
far as you can, that should get you A LOT of points. If you don't, the rails
just before the start of Miracle Mile will help, start with the one on the
left. Use the Media spots wisely, you'll need 'em, that's the best advice I can
give. I made the mistake of not varying my tricks, and it nearly cost me the
run, so combo, and vary!

You win:
A new skill point!

High Score Challenge #2 - 260,000 pts.
Difficulty: Hard

This can get pretty difficult. I jumped onto the ski lift right at the
beginning and got 160,000 pts. there, just watch out, because it ends up going
out of bounds, but it's very possible to beat this without the ski lift. Use
only the big jumps, the little ones are a waste of time. Same with rails, go
slow (I seriously hope you have some skill points on Balance). Use the Media,
without it, you're toast. Doing little cheap things like going down ski lifts
won't hurt you, except for your moral code...but who cares?

You win:
A new skill point! YAY!

High Score Challenge #3 - 350,000 pts.
Difficulty: Very Hard

Intimidated yet? This is pretty hard, and I'm not kidding. It took me a few
tries to beat. Using the ski lift will help A LOT. If you don't, good luck, and
make your tricks count. If you screw up on a big jump, restart, you can't
afford any mistakes here. Try and get a good 150-200,000 pts. on the ski lift,
it will help a lot. Use the tips from the first two, along with these, and you
should get it...good luck!

You win:
A new skill point! (Personally, I think it should be 2 ;)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Media Challenge #1 - 100,000 pts.
Difficulty: Medium

It really shouldn't be too hard for you to get this by now. If you use the ski
jump at the beginning, you can get it in more or less one trick! But, if you do
the run legit, it's still pretty easy. If you remember the Red Jump from
Miracle Mile (near the beginning), if you jump up and to the left, you should
run right into a Media person. Then after two arch rails, there is a long metal
one, Press it all the way, and that's like 60-70,000 points right there. Then
go slow on the very last rail (on the Miracle Mile part), and you'll get your
points.

After completing this challenge, you get a new addition to your scrapbook:
Hansen's Energy Bar wants you. Sweet!

Media Challenge #2 - 150,000 pts.
Difficulty: Medium-(Medium-Hard)

I can't really give much more tips for these Media challenges, it's all so much
alike. Just follow the "good" spots in the first challenge walkthrough, and
remember to combo and vary your tricks. Keep your eyes open too, there are
plenty more good ones around....(Media jumps)

After completing this challenge, you get a new addition to your scrapbook:
Two-Page Snowboarder spread!

Media Challenge #3 - 200,000 pts.
Difficulty: Medium-Hard

There isn't much more I can really say here. It's a bit of a high score to
reach, but you can do it, just believe in yourself :p <---super cheesy, sorry.
Use the tips from the first two challenges, they'll do much more than me having
to copy it all out again. Don't slip up, there aren't a lot of Media places
anymore....

After completing this challenge, you get a new addition to your scrapbook:
Robot Food wants you in their video!

=========================================================================
Section 5.0: FAQ E11
=========================================================================

Here are some sent in questions:

Q: Can you slip ranks?

A: No, luckily you can't. It'd be kind of annoying failing a Challenge then
having to go back...but it'd teach people to put in a full effort.

Q: Is there any way to turn off the "punks" that run me down?

A: Sadly, there isn't, we'll all just have to put up with them. If only there
was a run "Whack the Boarders"...that would be fun.

More to come in the next update....
