You wanna kill hunters easily? Here's how you do it. When a hunter runs at you and gets ready to hit you, jump. While your in the air, turn around and fire away at it's exposed back. If done correctly, it can neutralize two hunters without any harm to your person. Also, when a hunter fires at you, just jump to the side to avoid it. This dosent work well in confined spaces though, so try to get the hunter into an open space first.
