Wizards Unite is a location-based augmented reality (AR) mobile game set in the world of J.K. Rowlings's Harry Potter. The game allows aspiring wizards and witches to embark on adventures where they explore real-world neighborhoods and cities across the globe, learn and cast spells, discover mysterious artifacts, and encounter legendary beasts and iconic characters. Players start as a new recruit for the Ministry of Magic's Statute of Secrecy Task Force to investigate 'The Calamity', a mysterious force causing magical things to appear before Muggles (non-magical people). The objective of the game is to use spells and potions to return the magical items, known as 'foundables', to stop the Wizarding World from being exposed. Complete Daily Assignments

Make sure you regularly visit the tab that is labeled 'Daily Assignments' and complete as many of them as possible as this is an easy way to farm XP and items. You should not have too much difficulty completing the tasks which could be anything from picking up a Portmanteau to dining at an inn on the map.

Collect spell energy

An essential resource in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is spell energy as this gives you the ability to cast each of the spells. Unfortunately spell energy needs to be constantly replenished which can be achieved by entering a Harry Potter: Wizards Unite inn when it appears on your map during gameplay. You will spend one unit of spell energy for each spell cast.

Finding Potion Ingredients

Make a note of which potion ingredients appear during the various environmental and time changes that occur in-game so you know when and where they are likely to spawn again, knowing where to look for a specific ingredient will give you an edge over other players.

Making Choices

Don't feel overwhelmed when you are asked to choose a house you want to belong to in Hogwarts, what wand you wield, or what your title is. Your are not locked into any of those choices so there is no need to stress. You can chop and change your choices in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite any time you want.

Portmanteaus and Portkeys

When you have walked a certain distance with a Portmanteau and have acquired a portkey to activate it you will be able to transport to a special location where you will be able to discover things that are extremely rare and impossible to encounter otherwise. You will also recieve a decent amount of XP when you visit these places.

Brew potions

Brewing potions will give you buffs and other benefits that will enable you to progress faster in the game. You will not be able to brew a potion however until you reach level 6 and have the necessary ingredients, which is done over the course of the game naturally. Casting Spells

In Harry Potter: Wizards spell casting is all about speed unlike in the films where empahsis is on being extremely precise. Therefore during a battle or magic anomaly capture when you are presented with a line that you need to trace with your finger in order to cast a spell make sure you do it as quickly as possible as there is a limited amount of time to do so.
