The most basic way to win in Brawl is to knock the opponent out of the stage. Every player has a damage percentage that is found at the screen's bottom. The higher this damage percentage, the farther the player will fly when hit with an attack. Smash attacks inflict more damage and send the opponent flying, but some characters' grab attacks have limited range, so be cautious when using them. Last, but not least, you can use items and assist trophies to send the opponent flying. For best results, focus on the opponent with the highest damage percentage.
