Shadow!
I know that Shadow the Hedgehog isn't a playable character, but he is an assist trophy! I don't know how to unlock that assist trophy because I saw it on my cousin's copy of Brawl. I have no proof, but I've seen it with my own eyes! If you don't believe me, ask my cousin, darkraidude08. He's an awesome assist trophy.
And I just want to point out, to GigaInfernape, about one of his submitted hints, that Tingle IS in fact an assist trophy. I got him from an assist trophy before.
