Taxi freezes on map, help?

Taxi freezes on map, help?
I play Sims 3 on the Wii, which I have received not too long ago. Either last Christmas or the Christmas before. The first couple of times I taxi'd somewhere, it worked smoothly. However, everytime I try to taxi now, it crashes the game. Can anyone help me and or figure out a way to prevent it from happening again?
