how do i use codec with classic controller & gamecube controller

i dunno what codec is but you can use gamecube controllers by opening up the compantment on the top of the wii, and you can use classics by plugging it in like a nunchuk to the bottom of a wii mote.

He means codec as in Snake's headset microphone.
To do it with the Gamecube controller, keep pressing up and down on the d-pad quickly.
This also works with Fox, Falco and Wolf on Lylat Cruise and Corneria. Good luck and happy brawls!

To use Snake's Codec, you have to go to Shadow Moses Island on 2 player mode (Snake as one player, the character you want described as the other), and press LEFT on the C-Stick REALLY FLIPPING lightly. If done correctly, Snake should crouch on one knee and put a hand up to his ear, and the Codec should appear after that. You don't need to do ANYTHING after that. Just listen to the rundown on the character.
