Flying pumpkin at Hagrid's Garden

So after unlocking Hermoinie's bag, I went back to Hagrid's hut to use that pink base plate. I used it and a pumpkin came out and instantly disappeared into the ground. Then Bellatrix (azkaban) appeared in the sky. I can't find any other way to fly in that area and the other pumpkin just hops around. Please help. I've tried leaving area and coming back, I've tried reloading the game, nothing.
