I read that if you send a villager a letter with a native fruit attached, they will send one back with a fruit that isnt native to your town. I tried it several times but the animals never message me back. Is there a way to get them to message me back?

I don't think the animals will mail you back. That may have been possible to do in Animal Crossing: Wild World, and Animal Crossing: Population Growing; but not in this game. So trust me, don't waste your time with them.

It does work, dont quit. You have to say "How are you?" and they will send clothes or fruit back.

You can also say, "I want new fruit." This works for everyone in my town, not just girls.
