Silver items have different affects and are (sometimes) easier to get. My only example is the golden and silver shovels. Golden shovels can bury bells and they become trees but the silver shovel doesn't do that. But on the other hand the silver shovel can sometimes double bells you get from hitting the rock that randomly has bells in it

Hope this helps

the way that you can get golden shovels is burying a normal shovel and leaving it there for 3 weeks then digging it back up it will be golden.

The net for silver is bigger and the golden one is even bigger.
The watering can I'm not sure what it does for silver for golden it makes black roses turn gold if you water it 7 days in a row.
I'm not sure what the silver fishing rod does the golden one attracts fish and is longer.

Hope this helped!
