Xenoblade Chronicles X Cheats and Tips

This is a very complicated game that even the most seasoned gamer will struggle with. The game display and menu screens are full of unexplained icons and stats that will confuse you so it is advised that you access the online manual from the game menu so you can refer to it for help whenever you encounter something you don't understand.

Don't forget the ocean when exploring as there are certain items there that need to be acquired to complete missions. An example of this is the Stardust Rod which is needed to complete 'Professor B's Return' mission can only be acquired in Syvallum waters late at night.

It is worth exploring everywhere as there are plenty of hidden shortcuts and locations. There are also locations which can be accessed at certain times that will normally not allow you entry until you have obtained flight capability.

Try to aoid using Fast Travel as much as you can early in the game and instead grind your way to the top as there is no alternative way to complete some of the mid-game missions.

You will earn a free level 20 Urban Skell when you have completed Chapter 6 successfully. Level 30 Skells can be purchased from the Weapons Terminal in Armory Alley in the Administrative District. It is possible to get more Skells either by purchasing them with credits or crafting them with materials and Miranium. Complete the following tasks to unlock the corresponding additional Skells.

Level 50 Skells:

Level up Sakuraba Industries to level 5.

Level 60 Skells:

Clear the main story.

US0232 Police (Level 30):

Complete H.B.'s final affinity mission, 'Climbing the Ladder'.

US0830 Dozer (Level 30):

Complete Boze's final affinity mission, 'Boze's Ignorance'.

US0860 Excavator (Level 60):

Complete Alexa's final affinity mission, 'Rapid Misfire'.

Focus on leveling the Mechanical skill first as this enables you to capture more probes. Then level the Archeolical skill followed by the Biological skill. The Biological skill is only useful in the last area.

Remember that if you talk to Eleonora whenever you increase your Blade rank she will increase one of your skills and give you something for your room. Note: there is no prompt for this.

If you go to the 'Active Members' sub-menu and select 'Confirm Changes' you will instantly replenish your party's full HP. Take advantage of this bug when exploring damaging weather conditions and to slowly cheat your way through lava.
