If you find yourself in a sticky situation, Such as, being outnumbered or heavily fired upon and you are about to be sunk, Simply press "escape" and select "end mission".
No matter how badly you are damaged or how many of your sailors are dead, It will put you back to port.
I myself have been practically torn apart and sinking fast, approaching crush depth, And still got back to port using this method.
Hint: Extra credits (reown):
Note: This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy of the file before proceeding.
Enter the "\sh3\data\cfg\careers\" folder. Select the name of the folder that is the same as the career that you are using.
Use a text editor to edit the file Patrols_0.cfg.
Scroll down to your last mission details and change the amount of DeltaRenown that you got paid.
example (DeltaRenown=498.750000 Change to DeltaRenown=6500.750000)
Save the file and start the game.
You can now buy what you like in the game.

| How do you get the torpeados(sp?) to load from reserve? |
You must surface the boat. Ensure that the torpedo room is fully staffed and if possible, the weather is rather calm. Click on the weapons officer (lower left hand side of the screen) and then on the torpedo icon. This will bring up the screen showing the reserve torpedos. If you have an empty spot in the internal reserves, left click on the external torpedo and drag it to the internal spot. Bear in mind this takes several minutes to do, so don't try it while being attacked by a destroyer, or you will die! |
