Quake III Arena Cheats and Tips

Enable cheats and press '~' (tilde) during gameplay to bring up the cheat console. Then enter the following case sensitive codes (without the quotes) to enable the corresponding effect.

Change Gravity:

Type '/g_gravity (0-800)'

Change View Angle:

Type '/cg_thirdpersonangle (-360-360)'

Change View Range:

Type '/cg_thirdpersonrange (320-500)'

Hidden Sarge Skin:

Type '/model sarge/krusade'

During gameplay type '/Map' (without the quotes) followed by a map name (eg '/Map Q3DM6') to change the arena.

Press '~' (tilde) key to open the console and then type /svdevmap (map name) to load the level in Single Player mode then enter any of the following codes in the console to unlock the corresponding effect.

Unlock God Mode:

/god

Unlock ALL Weapons and Ammo:

/give all

Unlock ALL Levels at Skill 1:

/iamacheater

Unlock ALL Levels at Skill 100:

/iamamonkey

Unlock Hidden Skin:

/model sarge/krusade

Spawn Item:

/give (item name)

No Clip Mode:

/noclip

Start a game with the quake3.exe +seta g_spVideos 'tier11tier22tier33tier44tier55tier66tier77tier88' command line.

Type '/headmodel (character name)' in the console to change the head of your character. For example '/headmodel sarge/red'.

If you press '~' (tilde) key when cheats are enabled so you bring up the cheat console and then enter '/cg_thirdperson 1' (without the quotes) you will enable third person view.

You will be able to change the map during gameplay if you type (without the quotes) '/Map' followed by a map name (eg '/Map Q3DM6').

When you enter Quake 3 go to the console

and type devmap and then what map you want to play on.

When it loads,somewhere it must say cheats are enabled.

When you start playing go to the console again and then type ALL of the following text:

give all

give armor

give health

god

give grappling hook

give regeneration

give invisibility

give quad damage

give flight

give battle suit.

If you type in all of these,then you will be invincible!!!

Plus if you type in the same cheat over and over again just by pressing the up arrow ..

While playing press ` (Underneath the Escape key) Then type

/god (god mode)

/give all (Get all weapons and items)

/allammo (Get more ammo)

If you are having trouble in a map then start it in Skirmish with no opponents. Learn where the best items of the map are and find out where they can be accessed from. Then try to devise a way of controlling it. If you can deny your enemies from say the quad damage or railgun then they will be in a lot of trouble.

Also on the final level unless Xaero is occupied with something else or dead try not to go for the BFG. He will squash you in it every time. Another thing about that is that after hitting the first speed ramp if you move bacwards you will miss the connecting bounce pad and land on the other platform. You can also move to the side after hitting the second pad and bypass the BFG ramp if it is closed and you will land on the platform you started on.

Type:

/spdevmap (name of level)

Then:

/fraglimit 100

This will make the fraglimit increase, so you can play for longer. Remember the space or it won't work.
