Spiders

Before you decide to bomb, trap or dodge a spider take into account that they always travel in straight lines until they hit an object and will saunter down any hallways that you have opened up by digging.

Hard Rock

Trying to get through hard rock can eat up a lot of your energy so it is worth looking for a nearby softer alternative that allows you to clear a path to the same goal without using up as much energy.

Traps

Although trapping enemies takes more finesse than bombing them you will find that the tech cost is lower and you will also be awarded energy for successful traps.

Batpacks and Helmets

Keep an eye on how batpacks and helmets affect your tech and health stats as they will affect bonuses in different ways, use this knowledge to equip yourself accordingly.

Facebook

Connecting your Facebook account can give you some free lives if you have other friends playing Dwarven Den. All you need to do is link up your game and request lives from them, then when you run out of the lives the game allows you just have to accept a 'Like' from a Facebook friend.

Spare Energy

A good strategy when you see your goal in sight and you have a decent amount of spare energy left is to take the opportunity to look around as there is a chance that you may find additional treasure, Gold or Stars.

Mummies

Make sure you stay out of the line of sight of mummies whenever possible as they will give chase if they see you. If you are seen you need to hide in a cranny and wait for them to stop hunting you which means waiting for the red exclamation mark over their head to disappear.

Mine Stability

Before you decide what your next move is make sure you have checked the mine stability otherwise you could find yourself surrounded by tons of solid rock which is difficult to dig out of.

Unneeded Equipment

During the early stages of the game you will farm lots of equipment which you will be able to forge to obtain higher level version of it. Any unneeded equipment can always be sold to get some extra Gold.

Gold Veins

A good strategy is to travel along gold veins whenever possible as Gold is easy to dig up and it enables you to buy upgrades.

Bombs

Make sure you are careful when using the bombs otherwise you are risking knocking down support pillars which will severely damage stability.

Soil

Even if you are low on energy it is worth digging through soil as there is a chance that it will reveal small tech and energy charges that will enable you to power-up and help your progress towards your destination.

Bonus Crystals

A good way to earn bonus crystals easily is to join a guild. Just do a quick web search for 'Dwarven Den guilds' to see what is available. Joining a guild also gives you the opportunity to earn other unique and useful stuff.

Forge Weapons

Save gems by forging them instead of buying them, you can forge weapons out of the treasure that is laying around the mines. Forging weapons that are the same also enables you to upgrade them to the next level.

Portals

Keep an eye out for and avoid enemy-spawning portals. Although if the level requires that you need to slay a certain amount of bad guys it is the ideal place to camp out.

Pre-Trapping

If you place a trap before you break the final block you will not have to panic to setup last minute traps only to be touched and lose energy.

Digging

The best tactic regarding digging is to dig according to the level's power-ups whether this be tech refills or energy refills. If a level has lots of energy to be had it is worth digging whereas if energy is sparse but tech is plentiful you are better of using bombs and other tech to get through the mines.
