Sky: Children of the Light is an indie adventure game where you play the role of a child who has a cape that gives you the ability to fly around beautiful landscapes and a candle that can be used to light shrines and doors and reveal the appearance of other players. The objective of this fantasy MMO is to join with others to solve simple puzzles. Check out our Sky: Children of the Light cheats and tips on how to complete the game.
Below is a collection of hints and tips that will help you to progress in the game. These include revisiting locations and making friends. As well as these hints and tips we also have a mini-guide here which goes into more details on some of the tips we have below:
Make sure you explore every nook and cranny in each kingdom. Always keep an eye out for lens flares and go towards it when you see one. Some lens flares are hidden behind hills and other subtle places. Check out our Spirit and Star Collectibles guide to see their locations in Sky: Children of the Light.
Making friends costs a candle, it is advised that you make as many as possible as this is how the game is won. Make sure you set a nickname for a friend so you will remember them. You can access your friend list by going Home. Check out our How to Make Friends guide to find out everything you need to know about making friends in Sky: Children of the Light.
There is a total of 6 seasonal spirits, one will be hidden somewhere in each of the six kingdoms. Once you find a seasonal spirit you need to complete their quest so they teach you their emoji. After this you need to return the spirit to the temple at the end of the level so they appear in the constellation in Home.
If you are an Adventure Pass holder and the Adventure Pass icon is next to a Seasonal Spirit it indicates that they can be unlockd for free as soon as you have unlocked the node before it. The ultimate item for each spirit will still cost hearts even if you have the Adventure Pass.
One of the dialy quests challenges you to find a special gratitude shrine where you are able to meditate and leave a note of appreciation for any friends you may have who play Sky: Children of the Light. If you are an Adventure Pass holder you will be able to collect a free seasonal candle every day from the gratitude shrine in the middle of Home.
If you need some extra seasonal candles there is always the option of tapping the seasonal candle counter in the top left corner of the screen at any time to access the in-game store where you will be able to purchase them with real money.
As you progress through Sky: Children of the Light you will unlock various spells that can help both you and other players. Make sure you use them, there is no reason to hang onto them.
It's always worthwhile to go back to previously visited locations once you have upgraded your ability to fly and unlocked some new spells as there is a good chance you will now be able to reach places you couldn't before and pick up stuff you missed the first time.
