Valorant Walkthrough and Guide

Valorant is a free-to-play tactical 5-on-5 online first-person shooter set in the near-future. You control an 'agent', characters who come from different countries and cultures from around the world who have unique abilities and use an economic system to purchase their abilities and weapons. In the main game mode, you join either the attacking or defending team and play matches that are best of 25. Each round lasts 100 seconds, but can end before if:

• The spike is planted/detonated.

• One team kills all five members of the other team.

• The spike is defused.

Buy Armour

In Valorant you can increase your life expectancy significantly by buying armour. Without armour your character will die after a couple of shots so make sure that you buy it at the beginning of the round.

Communicate with your Team

Valorant is primarily a team based game and it is important to be successful that you collaborate closely with the members in your squad using the built-in voice chat.

Listen for Sounds

Constantly listen to your surroundings as the sounds you hear will help you decide your next course of action as they can let you know the direction your opponent may be coming from or where a fight is currently taking place.

Learn the Map

You will be able to increase your chances over your opponents by learning the layout of the map. Being familiar with the the map will enable you to exploit the enemy by taking advantage of the surroundings in the different areas.

Movement Noise

Avoid running in Valorant whenever possible as your movement when you do so creates enough noise for the enemy to know where you are. Running makes so much noise that a circle appears on the mini-mobile to show how far the sound has gone. To prevent this from happening press the Shift button to walk. Although walking is slower than running it will make your shooting more accurate and you will be moving around undetected.

Pick up Dropped Enemy Weapons

After an enemy's death their dropped weapons can be picked up and collected, make sure if you spot a more valuable weapon on the ground than the one you have you grab it so you can take it with you to the next round.

Aim for the Head

If you have a clear shot at an enemy aim at the opponent's head as this is the quickest way to eliminate the target. You can make this easier by keeping your scope at head level as you move around the map.

Better Shooting Accuracy

In Valorant you will have more success shooting at the enemy from the spot at the end of the movement instead of while moving which will significantly reduce your accuracy.

Disarm Bombs

If during a round an opponent sets up a bomb you will have to disarm the explosive charge as well as eliminate their whole squad to complete the round in your favour. You can disarm the bomb by standing in the middle of the marked circle and using a disarming device.
