Introduction

Ahh. Pokemon Blue... One of the oldest Pokemon games. Some of my best memories with this game were all glitches. Anyways, this is my review on the game. This is probably the glitchiest game I have ever seen. My game is totally screwed up, but it's my favorite game to play. Ever. So, let's get on with the review.

Graphics

The graphics. Ugh! These are the worst graphics I have ever seen. But being the first game I ever played, I got used to it. Compared to the later Pokemon games (Ruby&Sapphire) this is awful. Anyways, it was a very old game, I mean, at least you can see things, and tell what they are. It's not like a building is a square, and the ocean is just blue. It still stinks though.

Sound

There's supposed to be music? Oh, I thought it was just noise. Yeah, that's what I would say, if I didn't know it was music. I honestly never even listened to it once. At least there's some kind of rythm to it. Not just beeping. I would like it better if there was something good to listen to. Like maybe download your favorite songs on it. That would be cool.

Gameplay

The game is still awesome to play though. Just turn the sound off, and don't worry about the graphics. Battle all 8 gym leaders, level up your Pokemon to their strongest, beat the Elite Four, catch every Pokemon, and mess with the glitches. The basic plot is okay. They should have a remake of it. Not like Fire Red and Leaf Green though. The people and everything should be the same. Like Missingno. And all the other glitches. If we had a better remake of it, that would be awesome (just have it remade to make the graphics better). The story line is better than most games (not Pokemon games, just other games) I still enjoy playing it.

Lastability

This game seriously doesn't last long, if you're a cheater. I know you're a cheater. You're on supercheats, of course you cheat, at least once. I'm sure people can't resist battling Missingno. When they do, the graphics become worse (like they could), the hall of fame is permanently messed up, and your Pokemon are messed up too. If the glitches don't kill it, the game will eventually get too old, and start freezing and reseting. Let's just face it, this game won't last through much. It wasn't meant to be messed around with. I suggest you have 2 copies of it. One for messing with glitches, and another for you to just basically play with, and catch all the Pokemon in the game, a glitch free game. I'm sure no game is left, that hasn't been messed with. This game will only last through a few things, after that, it's useless. Keep your receipt and return for another one after it gets messed up =D.

Overall

It only gets the 9 because of all the fun you get playing with the glitches. Other than that, it will have a 4. If you don't mess with the glitches, it will be so boring. I went the first 3 years with it, having a clean game, no glitches. And for the other 3 years, I only played it to mess with glitches. The other 3 years were so much better. This game is one that you should definitely have though. It really helps to get you started in Pokemon. Without it, I would have never liked Pokemon. It's an awesome game to play. I suggest anyone try it.
