Introduction

Basically, you select a team, from a choice of leagues around Europe, and guide them to success following your Chairmans expectations, using a transfer, and wage budget, building your squad throughout the years, winning tournaments and such.

Build on your career, becoming the Worlds number one manager, managing different clubs, and different levels of ability in different countrys. Designing your own manager, with whatever name, and looks you like.

Graphics

The 3D match engine for the PS2 version of this game is good, the best match engine for any manager sim ever, follow every kick of every game throughout the season with the fanastic graphics, stadiums almost identical as real life at the top levels. The players don't look like their real self, but at least they look like football players, instead of blobs, sliding about a board, like tiddlywinks, as they do on other manager sims.

Sound

The in-match sound is awesome, you hear the fans chanting, and voicing their opinion at players, the referee, and you, yourself as manager, as they chant 'You don't know what you're doin' ' when you are losing with your team playing poorly.
A realistic roar when the team scores a goal, as if the home team score, a huge roar goes off, where as if the away team scores, there is not as much noise.
You hear the referees whistle, when free-kicks, corners, and other stoppages in the game occur, adding realistic sound.
There is music on the game menu, but only one song played over-and-over, and it doesn't even continue into when you are playing the game, sorting team selections, which is one of the bad things about this game, but one of the few, thankfully.

Gameplay

Exhibition mode, where you can play your saved team against each other to see what game you really have the best teams on, or you can play your mates team that he has built on his career game, giving you bragging rights when your tactics destroy his, or vice versa.

Career mode offers a lot in this game, in-depth tactics, right down to training intensity, and which is your favourite wing to use, to the obvious team selection.
Use the transfer funds wisely in the Transfer market, as you sell, and buy players during the Transfer window ( Jan 1st - Jan 31st and July 1st- Aug 31st) as you look to strengthen different positions.

Your choice of backroom staff can lead to success, so choose them wisely, and use your scouts to advantage as they roam the world in search for the next best thing for your team.

You get to shout instructions, and orders to your team as you play, telling them to go all out attack, to gain a goal, or to track back, keeping a lead, or you may wish to skip, or 'Don't watch match' if you are busy, or have supersticions with playing the matches.

Lastability

This game lasts a whole year for me, until the new version is released, as it has so much to offer while managing your team to the highest levels, winning all the cups, and conquering all leagues and challenges put infront of you. Watching and not watching the match to suit your mood helps which keep the game intersting.

This game also has cheats, so if you're bored, and have found this game too easy and want to joke around with it, or too intense and difficult, then use the cheats. Some cheats make the game more fun, as in funny sounds, and some just help make the game easier, for example cheaper players.

Overall

This is a great game for anyone who likes football, or just likes to play managing strategic games, then it is for you, you have to show tactical awareness, and excellence to get your team through the tough challenges they may face, but it is all worth it when you triumph in the tough tournaments.
Bragging to your mates, with your excellent achivements, and promotions makes it all worth while, as the 3D engine makes this the best manager game to date. ( In my opinion of course).

Final Score: 78%
