Extra Ability Points

There will be some question marks on the map that will be places of power and will provide Geralt with extra Ability points. You need to to be careful when you are there though as they tend to have monsters nearby.

You can gain an extra bonus when you equip mutagens by matching the colour with the abilities on the side of the skill tee.

Saddlebag

Buying a saddlebag is a good purchase as it will allow you to increase your inventory space.

Alchemy

Don't forget to craft potions and oils as one way that you can get an edge in battle is by the use of Alchemy.

Upgrade

The attack that you will use most often early in the game is the 'Fast Attack' ability so look to upgrade it as soon as possible.

Quen Sign

When you are faced with a tough opponent keep activating the Quen sign during the battle so you are able to take free hits and avoid significant damage.

Stamina

Wherever possible try to save stamina during batttle by using the dodge button instead of rolling away from enemies.

Health

Consider meditating for half an hour to replenish your health whenever you find it getting low.

Incoming Attacks

Always hold the parry button when faced with incoming attacks as this will enable you to deflect them and if timed correctly also allow you to perform a counter attack.

Save

It is advised that you save often and regularly as this game is a large open-world RPG.

Repair Weapons and Armour

Make sure you repair your weapons and armour regularly because when they get below 50% they will become less effective.
