The Sims 4: Tiny Living Walkthrough and Guide

The Sims 4: Tiny Living is the sixteenth stuff pack for The Sims 4. It features space-saving furniture and a murphy bed. The game basically allows you to turn areas into a 'tiny home residential lot', an area that only allows homes of sizes 100 tiles and under. The objective is to squeeze everything into these tiny abodes with the help of two clever space-saving combo objects - the murphy bed and the all-in-one Stereo, TV, and Bookshelf. Check out our The Sims 4: Tiny Living Stuff Walkthrough and Guide to get help in the game.

Tile Perks

Once you select 'Tiny Home Residential' and a number of tiles (more than 4 tiles but less than 100) you will be placed into a tier. The smaller you go in The Sims 4 Tiny Living the more perks you will get.

• Tier 3: Small Home (65-100 tiles)

• Tier 2: Tiny Home (33-64 tiles)

• Tier 1: Micro Home (4-32 tiles)

The perks for each tier are listed below.

• Tiny Living Tier 3 Lot Perks - Small Home:

- Lighten the Load: Household bills are reduced.

- Feelin' Fine All The Time: All moodlets granting the 'Happy', 'Inspired', and 'Focused' emotions double in duration while on the lot.

• Tiny Living Tier 2 Lot Perks - Tiny Home:

- You Got The Touch: All skill building on the lot receives a double-time boost.

- Cozy Comforts: All objects on the lot that grant Comfortable moodlets double their buff amounts.

• Tiny Living Tier 1 Lot Perks - Micro Home:

- Let's All Get Along: All relationship gains (and losses) are doubled while on the lot.

- Let It Grow: Garden plants on the lot grow twice as fast.

Build Half Walls

If you have opted to build a micro home you will quickly realise it is too small to add individual rooms and whole walls make you feel squeezed in. The way to get around this is to build half walls as they create handy corners which you can place furniture against without making the house feel closed in.

Shelving

You can make even a tiny home feel cozy without compromising floor space by simply adding shelves. For exampe you can add shelvng inbetween the wall and murphy bed to make the most of this previously unused space (see screenshot above).

Murphy Bed

During the day the murphy bed is folded up and replaced with an optional sofa (see screenshot above). At night, your Sim can bring the bed down. This new build object in The Sims 4 Tiny Living is also a death trap as there is the possibility of it killing your Sim by crushing them to death. If you Sim has high Handiness you will have the option to install upgrades and make the bed unbreakable.

Natural Light

It is important that you allow as much natural light to enter into your home as possible to prevent it looking claustrophobic and dark. You can achieve this without giving up wall space for furniture and decoration by adding tiny windows up high above other objects (see screenshot above).

Unnecessary Items

Get rid of items you do not need, for example, it is not necessary to have a sink in your kitchen and your bathroom. Without a sink you can have a 2x2 bathroom with just a shower, toilet, and the usual clutter you would expect to find. You also don't need a clothes dresser since you can click on your Sim to change outits.

Add a Swimming Pool

You can give the impression you house is a lot bigger than it actually is by adding a swimming pool. In The Sims 4 Tiny Living swimming pools do not add to your tile count as you are not creating any new rooms. You can even add fencing around the swimming pool to make it look more attractive.
