Tell Me Why is an adventure game set in the Alaskan town of Delos Crossing where Tyler Ronan confesses to murdering his mother in self-defense. Ollie is sent away to the Fireweed juvenile detention center, while his twin sister Alyson is adopted by Delos police chief Eddy Brown. Ten years later both of the twins experience separate visions and memories of what had transpired, with each twin having different recollections of what happened. You must make decisions for the pair based on which version of the past events you believe to be true, the choices you make will impact the game's outcomes. How to Solve the Garage Puzzle in Chapter 2

During Chapter 2 of Tell Me Why you will go to the garage and in order to progress the game you will need to connect the fuses properly. You play as Alyson and the correct arrangement to solve the puzzle is:

30 Amp Fuse
20 Amp Fuse
20 Amp Fuse
15 Amp Fuse
20 Amp Fuse
15 Amp Fuse

The wires are colour coded, starting top left, the top row should be red, yellow, yellow, blue, followed by yellow on the bottom row. The sixth fuse is already attached. If you get the arrangement wrong you will hear Sam make a derisive comment about women. If however you correctly solve the puzzle, the power will be back in the entire house and the garage.

You can find the solution to the puzzle in notes taped to the wall next to the fuse box. These note tells you that the total number of Amps in fuses must be 120. By looking at the colours of cables you will be able to easily solve the puzzle as each one corresponds to a certain amperage:

Red - 30 Amp
Yellow - 20 Amp
Blue - 15 Amp

How to get into the Old House in Chapter 1

The first puzzle you are faced with in Tell Me Why is getting into the old house which is the childhood home of Tyler and Alyson. To solve the puzzle you need to enter the house from the front door.

How to get into the Old House in Chapter 1


When you first try to enter the front door of the house the twins will discover that the locks have been changed, you then need to head over to the right side of the house to where there is a boarded up window. After Tyler discovers he cannot pull the board off because it is screwed in tight you need to go to the tool shed that is to the right of the property in the hope of finding a screwdriver. The twins find that the door to the shed is also locked. While talking about their memories about their mother the Tyler and Alyson learn they have a shared memory on where the key is. This memory will tell them the key is under the silent frog. Opposite where Tyler tried to take the board off the window, there are three ceramic frogs. If you look underneath the one with it's hand over it's mouth (the middle one) you will find the key that opens the front door of the house.

How to Open the Box in the Barn in Chapter 2

Alyson and Tyler uncover a locked box of their mother's hidden in the barn. In order to open it so they can access the information inside that will help them understand their mother they must first solve a puzzle.

As with most of the puzzles in Tell Me Why this one also revolves around the Book of Goblins and to open the box you will need a three-digit combiniation code. To begin with you need to open the book by pressing the 'Menu' button. Tab through the stories until you reach the one titled 'The Goblins Earn Their Voice' (the symbol of the story matches the one on top of the box). You will find the clues in the art. On the second page, there is a one in the background, on the third page a three and on the fourth page a zero, making the code 130.

How to Solve the Bedroom Door Puzzle in Chapter 1

During Chapter 1 of Tell My Why you will be faced with finding a solution to a puzzle that will allow you to get behind a locked door to enter the bedroom of Mary-Ann, the mother of Alyson and Tyler. Although the game gives you the option of breaking down the door doing so will result in consequences later in the game.

How to Solve the Bedroom Door Puzzle in Chapter 1


The puzzle you need to solve that enables you to unlock the bedroom door revolves around the Book of Goblins. If you pay attention to what Alyson and Tyler say you will be able to figure out which story in the book the puzzle relates to. You need to match up each lock with an animal, with the answer hidden in the Princess Party section of the twins' book. The three locks are for the torch, sword, and coins, and you have to determine which animal gave the princess which gifts.

In order to open up the book press the 'Select' button on your controller, tab through the stories until you find the correct one. The solution to the puzzle to unlock Mary-Ann's bedroom door is Moose, Bear, Pelican.
