Team Sonic Racing Cheats and Tips

We have a collection of Team Sonic Racing cheats and tips that will help you win races in this third-person perspective kart racing game where you also perform tricks and collect power-ups in intense multiplayer matches. The game is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.

Team Sonic Racing Cheats and Tips

In Team Sonic Racing you control one of 15 characters from the series cast and are part of a team of racers who must win races through efficiency rather than speed.

• Picking your Racers

  When you are putting together your three-character team you ideally want to have one of each of the three main types of racer (Speed, Technique, and Power).

• Open Mod Pods

  Get into the habit of every time you earn 50 Credits you exit out of Campaign mode and select the 'Mod Pod' option in the main menu and buy a few Mod Pods. The contents are random, every Mod Pod will hold either a cosmetic item, a performance car part, or a bonus block.

  Mod Pods cost 10 Credits each and you should open them as soon as you can as you will need the upgrades they contain later on in the game.

• Slingshots

  Whenever you are near one of your teammates you should be alternating between giving and taking Slingshot boosts from behind one another. The longer you can ride in your teams trail the further you will go when the Slingshot catapults you.

• Updating your Kart

  Although it is easier to change kart parts out in the garage you can also do it before every race by selecting the 'Loadout' option after selecting your character.

• Unlock New Zones

  Focus on completing the objectives for each event so you gain the necessary stars and keys to unlock new areas.

• Collecting Rings

  Unless you are doing a mission that specifically requires for you to collect a certain amount of rings you should not worry too much about them as they come and go easily anyway.

• Help Teammates

  If you see a team member knocked out, drive into them to give them a Skim Boost to help them get back into the race.

• Share your Items

  Team Sonic Racing puts a lot of emphasis on team play and encourages you to share the items you pick up such as boosts and weapons with your teammates. Help your teammates whenever you can as your final position is based on an average of all three of your team members.

• Team Ultimate Bonus

  If your team is struggling at the back of the pack you need to work together and earn the Team Ultimate bonus to get back into the race.
