What are Credits in Team Sonic Racing

What are Credits in Team Sonic Racing? You will earn as you play through the campaign modes like Team Adventure and complete races. Other ways you can earn Credits is by racking up Star Points during a race and by playing Drift mode. Credits are the in-game currency of Sonic Team Racing and their only use is to buy Mod Pods for 10 Credits a piece. Mod Pods contain a random assortment of goods such as paint and accessories to customise your racers kart with.

The amount of Credits you earn is dependant on how you performed in a race and the difficulty you played. Placing first in Extra Hard will earn you more Credits than placing first in an easier difficulty. There is no point saving Credits, open as many Mod Pods as you can to get the single-use buffs and customisations for your characters' kart that are inside.

After you have opened up a few customisations head to the garage and play about with the various set-ups of your characters kart so that it performs to your liking. This will involve adjusting the settings for things such as Speed, Acceleration, and Handling. You will notice that customisations have a positive effect on some stats and a negative effect on others but generally adding them will improve the performance of the kart.
