Sonic Mania Switch Cheats and Tips

The video below is a collection of 25 Easter Eggs and references that can be found in Sonic Mania.

Collect the indicated number of medals to unlock the corresonding effect.

And Knuckles Mode:

Get 11 medals.

Sonic 3 and K move Insta-Shield:

Get 9 medals.

Sonic CD move Super Peel-Out:

Get 1 medal.

Debug Mode:

Get 16 medals.

When you collect ALL 7 Chaos Emeralds in the special stages you will unlock Super Sonic.

When you have earned the indicated number of medals by completing the Blue Spheres special stages that are scattered throughout the game you will unlock the corresponding bonus.

&Knuckles Mode:

Earn 11 medals.

D.A. Garden:

Earn 26 medals.

Debug Mode:

Earn 16 medals.

Insta-Shield:

Earn 6 medals.

Mean Bean:

Earn 21 medals.

Super Peel Out:

Earn 1 medal.

Blue Spheres (Play ALL 51 Blue Sphere Stages):

Earn 32 medals.

If you collect ALL the Silver or Gold Medals from the bonus stages where you collect the blue spheres while avoiding the red ones you will be able to play extra bonus stages where you have to touch green spheres to make it turn blue.

The video below will show you the locations where you can access the Special stages. Complete the seven Special stages to get ALL seven Chaos Emeralds. The path shown will enable you to get ALL seven Chaos Emeralds and unlock Super Sonic before the end of Chemical Plant ZOne - Act 1.

In Titanic Monarch Act 2 Collect ALL 17 Chaos Emeralds as Sonic before finishing the stage. Then when you have defeated the normal boss of Titanic Monarch Act 2 Sonic will be teleported to the true final boss.

Enter the code Left, Left, Left, Right, Right, Right, Up, Up, Up while hanging onto any of the hook switches in Hydro City Zone. If you have entered the code correctly you will hear a ring noise as confirmation and the gear boost pads in Hydro City will now play a voice clip each time you use them.

On the 'Title' screen press the Y + B buttons together. Note: To get to the 'Title' screen you have to back out of the 'Main' menu.

Remain idle and let the game loop twice till you are watching the animation intro for the 2nd time. At this point an alternate version of the opening song will play while the intro is going.
