How to Make Money (Credits) Early

Although there are numerous ways in which you can make money in Star Traders: Frontiers, the best way to do so early on in the game is to do Missions for your Contacts. Completing missions for your Contacts is pretty straight forward, especially the early ones. After taking a few simple delivery missions you will start to see some more variety and farther away missions appearing. Completing these missions is not only the best way to earn Credits early on it is also a good way to progress in the game.

Play the Story Missions

It is recommended that you begin by focussing on playing the Story missions in Star Traders: Frontiers as your starting Contacts will help you build Reputation, Influence, Credits, and more early on. The Experience you receive from completing these missions will also help you to grow during the first few years by enabling you to buy recruits with specialized jobs, weaponry, introductions to new contacts, and buy better trade permits which can net you higher profits and unlock better value commodities to trade in.

Always Be Trading

It is essential that you are constantly trading in order to bring in the credits required to bankroll your ship and crew. When you undertake missions you will usually have some downtime between legs of a mission which you should take advantage to do some Trading as well as Patrolling, Spying, and Exploring. Just make sure you keep an eye on the time.
