Scan Opponents for Weaknesses

Before you engage in combat with the Imperium make sure you check the allied units you are fighting alongside to see what specific set of actions each are holding, these will range from light, normal, heavy, flurry, AoE, counter and combos. Being aware of what you have at your disposal will enable you to approach combat accordingly. Remember before you initiate combat you scan opponents for weaknesses so you know how to best target them.

How to get a CRIT Bonus

You can increase the damage you deal to an enemy substantially by getting a CRIT. To get a CRIT in Star Renegades you must attack an enemy before they can execute their action. In order to get a CRIT bonus you need to ensure that you set up the attacks of all your characters in such a way that they have their actions before the enemy. When this requirement is met you will receive the CRIT bonus which will do devastating damage to the enemy. It is important to take into consideration when planning an attack that enemies can also CRIT your characters.

Generate Fury for Combos

Combos in Star Renegades are special moves that cost Fury to perform. In order to generate Fury you need to land Breaks and CRIT's. Combos are executed by two of your characters simultaneously, the requirement though before they become available is that the two characters must have a strong relationship, you will be able to strengthen the relationship between characters by camping. It is worthwhile trying to generate as much Fury as possible as combos are capable of doing large amounts of damage to enemies. It is important to remember that each Combo can only be executed once per combat.

Pay Attention to the Timeline

In Star Renegades the Timeline dictates when characters and their enemies will take their moves and in what order the actions will be. This means it is crucial that you pay attention to the Timeline so you are able to plan attacks several steps in advance and also look for ways in which you can delay the enemies actions. Remember to take into consideration that there are characters that can make quick attacks that will set up other characters for a bigger attack later on and also that the timeline will fluctuate.

How to Unlock the Hidden Unique Classes

In order to unlock the hidden unique classes in Star Renegades you need to fill the relationship meter to 4 Hearts (Soulmates). Trying to get 4 Hearts is not easy, but is possible to do as early as Area 2 if you focus on the relationship between 2 Characters. Once you have met the requirement of having 4 Hearts you will be able to buy the hidden unique classes using your in-game currency in the quantum synthesizer.
