as you walk in the door to the library there is a blue history book to the right just as you enter room take that upstairs and swap it with the book there keep swapping books till you get to the second philosophy book where there is a key to top door

Hi, I had the same problem. click on the floor until you are in the centre of the room. Turn to face the first two statues. These are the two statues to your left as you enter the room. Once you are facing these two statues, click on the wall between them.
You should now be able to turn round and be facing the exit door. There is an inscription on the door. Use the magnifying glass to read this. You should place the B seal/coin from your inventory in the door.
click on the door and it should now open.

Karyn< this one took me a while too. Push theregishtry under the door that was behind the curtin thats locked then use the pipe cleaner in the lock to push the key through. It will fall on the paper and you can pull it out under the door. Most of everything else that you need on that floor is in that room.
