When the fight begins immediately go to one of the straw umbrellas and jump on it. If you remain idle while on top of the straw umbrella the boss will stay focused only on the CPU controlled allies and once it has KO'd them it will go to a certain spot and stop moving. Once this happens you will be able to attack the boss and easily defeat it.
