How to Extend your Jumps to Reach Far Away Platforms

Sackboy has a new move in his core arsenal called the 'flutter jump', this is basically a jump with a secondary flutter that allows him to extend his hangtime. In order to flutter while airborne you simply need to press and hold the jump button on your controller and Sackboy will run mid-air briefly to reach far away platforms. Not only is fluttering essential for extending your jump distance it is also useful when you need to avoid moving hazards.

Make Sure the Time Bonus Collectible is Worthwhile

Although the time bonus collectibles you can pick up in the trials can knock a few valuable seconds off the clock to give you a better time, there will be instances where you should resist the temptation to venture off the beaten path to get them. This will be when the time the detour takes is more than what the time bonus collectible offers.

Chain Moves Together to Extend your Hangtime

Sackboy can spin, dive, slap, and flutter to extend his jumps while airborne. If you chain some or even all of this moves together you will substantially increase Sackboys hangtime to make it over otherwise impossible gaps.

Choose your Starting Time Wisely

The clock does not start ticking until you cross the line so make sure you choose the moment that you set off wisely as it can make a big difference in getting a fast or slow time.

Easy Capitalist Trophy

To get the Capitalist trophy you must play in multiplayer and snag the most Collectabells in a level 20 times. The easiest and fastest way to unlock this trophy is with a second controller. The 5 steps below will tell you how it to do it.

Step 1
Create a Guest user on your console.

Step 2
Go back into the game and join the first player's game by pressing the X button on the second controller when prompted.

Step 3
Player one must now play through the level and collect at least one Collectabell more than player two. You can do this easily if the second player does nothing throughout the entire level. As the first player goes through the level, the second player will get teleported around to catch up. Collectabells can be found in pots and by destroying screws and sometimes by killing minions.

Step 4
Complete the level.

Step 5
Repeat for 19 different levels. Unfortunately this will not work on the same level.

Easy Beast of Burden Trophy

To get the Beast of Burden trophy you must play in multiplayer and get gold in any Knitted Knight Trial while carrying another Sackperson. The easiest and fastest way to unlock this trophy is with a second controller. The 5 steps below will tell you how it to do it.

Step 1
Create a Guest user on your console.

Step 2
Go back into the game and join the first player's game by pressing the X button on the second controller when prompted.

Step 3
Enter the second Knitted Knight Trials called 'Jumping the Queue'. This is the easiest challenge for this particular trophy.

Step 4
The first player now has to grab the second player. Press and hold R2.

Step 5
In order to earn Gold rank you need to complete the Time Trial in less than 40 seconds. You will be able to reach the finishing line quicker if you cut corners and flutter while mid-air to jump over wide gaps, and also pick up the time bonuses on your way. If you drop the second player you need to start over.

How to Evade Incoming Attacks and Hazards

As Sackboy races against time it is vital that you know how to quickly make him evade the incoming attacks and hazards that are in his path. In order to make Sackboy dodge you need to push the left-stick on your controller away from the danger and tap the roll button. To have any chance of achieving a top time you will need to be proficient at doing this.

Cut Corners for Faster Times

Each of the courses in Sackboy: A Big Adventure features shortcuts you can take advantage of to hasten your route to the finish line. Whenever you see a jump that there is a possibility that you could make and doing so would enable you to skip a section you should attempt it. Make sure if you decide to go for it you roll to build up speed and when you jump remember to chain combos (flutter, spin, dive, and slap) while airborne to extend your leap. By atempting these jumps you will be able to find the optimal route to the finish.

Roll to Move Faster and Increase your Jump Distance

Sackboy has the ability to roll and if you repeatedly mash the roll button on your controller you will be able to make him roll indefinetly. Keep in mind that Sackboy rolls faster than he runs so in order to achieve the top times you need to use this move extensively. You will find that if you roll into a jump you will be able to slightly increase your jump distance, this is something which will come in handy as you progress through the game.

Easy Best Friends Forever Trophy

To get the Best Friends Forever torphy you need to team up to take down the Topsy Turver, a deadly and diabolical device with the sole purpose to turn the planet of Craftworld into a nightmarish hellscape. The easiest and fastest way to unlock this trophy is with a second controller. The 4 steps below will tell you how to do it.

Step 1
Play Vexpiration Date found in 'The Center of Craftworld' world in single mode. When Vex is about to die during the very last boss fight, hit the 'OPT' button on your controller to pause the game.

Step 2
Create a Guest user on your console.

Step 3
Go back into the game and join the first player's game by pressing the X button on the second controller when prompted.

Step 4
Finish Vex off while using the first player's controller to unlock the trophy.
