What is the Best Gear and Weapons?

As soon as you land on the map you need to quickly scavenge the area for gear and weapons. It is important that you find a helmet for added protection and a backpack as this will enable you to hold essential supplies such as ammo and med kits. There is only so much you can carry so refrain from picking up unecessary items.

Assault rifles are without doubt the best weapons in the game, they are easy to manage, do good damage, have good magazine capacity and are very customisable with their wide range of attachments such as silencers and scopes. Assault rifles excel in mid to long range fights. Shotguns are very effective in close-quarter skirmishes and the sniper rifles allow you take take out enemies from a safe distance which is particularly useful in the Beginning game.
