Buy Cheap Plants
A simple and effective trick which will help you to level up your Gardening skill faster is to buy a cheap planter and cheap plants. An example of a cheap planter which is good value for the 5 x 5 size you get is the Dirt Pile which costs $30. A cheap plant you may want to consider which has a growth time of under 7 minutes is the Short Grass which only costs $12. All you need to do is water and cut the plant. Keep repeating this process to slowly level up each time, so you eventually plant the grass.

Expensive Plants and Land
The following method is only viable if you have plenty of money to invest and want to increase the value of your home while gardening. Aside from money, you will also need a large area to plant on which you need to add many Dirt Piles, or whatever planter you want to use to.
