Final fantasy: Dissidia

~~Intro~~
hello my name is jp or just call me shammy. the purpose of this guide is to help people
get through the problems of dissidia through the famous character
cloud strife. this is my first guide to send so i apologize for any mistakes.
anyway, if you don't like this guide its okay...this is just for the people who really
needs it...

~~Dissidia~~
this game was released 2008 - 2009 i think and its an awesome game featuring
the characters through ff I - XII. you can use either the hero or the villian but either way its cool. and featuring 2 characters cosmos(the hot gud chick) and chaos(the 4 armed freak) as the gods of peace and war. use every strategy to make your character stronger and overcome the enemies that stand in your way.

~~Q&A~~

q - from all the characters why cloud strife?
a - because cloud strife is famous and the easiest character to use, although
there are many ways to use him, im simply sharing my ideas and strategies.

q - is cloud really the strongest?
a - no, he is not. at this game, all of the characters are equal.

q - why isn't zack here in the game besides cloud?
a - dunno, ask the company. ^_^, the game only requires one hero in each final
fantasy sequel. final fantasy vii being the first before crisis core.

q - wait what? i thought crisis core came first?
a - well yeah but finalfantasy vii was released first at the playstation console.

q - but what about crisis core?
a - crisis core is final fantasy vii's past . the game was released 2008 i think.
its on the psp console - wait...why are we even talking about crisis core?

q - why are you the one asking the question?
a - nvrmind just read XD

~cloud strife~
an acerbic young swordsman with glowing eyes who wields a blade as large as he is.
in the original game, after leaving the shinra company, he started working as a jack
of all trades in the city of midgar. after joining the anti-group, Avalanche, he became
entangled in a battle for the future of the planet.

he can send foes flying with a single swipe of his massive sword.
he has the signature move "omnislash"
trademark: true past - "there is no truth, only awareness"

~~my view  of the character~~
although he is a silent type. i can imagine him being fun as hell. he always mopes
around as tidus said. at gameplay he can really rule especially in ex mode.
for me he is really the most famous character of all the sequels of final fantasy.
i guess it was shocking how he can quickly move and swing that giant blade(buster 
blade) with ease.XD

~sephiroth~
sephiroth is his eternal rival who killed cloud's bestfriend zack and his girlfriend
aerith. he has silver long hair and an awesome glair infused with power and rage.
like cloud, he is also silent and completely unaffected by his surroundings. he weilds
a super long katana taller than him, he can slice anything to ribbons without
even being noticed by the naked eye. he has supreme mastery over the weapon"masamune" and has
the signature move "black materia"
trademark: life of the planet - "you chose to believe, even if it weren't true, thats all."

~~destiny odyssey vii~~
> even surrounded by allies, he feels unease. soon, creeping shadows bring his trial...
difficulty: *

through out this odyssey, cloud encounters many foes that corner him in everyway,
he begins to doubt his purpose in this world. he asks himself "what am i fighting for?"
firion gives him the reason which is a dream in a form of a rose. but he thinks about it.
he encounters sephiroth who gives him the reason to fight.

*across this odyssey he would level up about 2-4 times depending if you encounter
all the enemies or just ignored them(waste i tell you.)

~~abilities~~
==>brave attacks<==
>first<
=Double cut - 30cp
- qick, descending shoulder slice and then a swing of the sword downwards,
sending foe flying.
- this is the first action you can do at level , this move is actually performed quickly
even at start. you must be aware of this action at first. even if you encounter cloud.
he can catch you suddenly sending you away.
effects: chase
perform: (up/down)+O,O - X(chase button)

=fire - 20cp
 - casts a small fireball that tracks opponent slowly.
 - this action can quickly take away bravepoints but, small bravepoints at first.
 its best if this action  be performed after guarding to ensure a critical hit.
effect: none.
perform: (up/down)+O

>leveled up(by order of levels)<
climhazard - 30cp
 - charge straight towart foe, leap upward slashing opponent, then stabs foe
downward from above.
- this move actually takes a moderate amount of bravepoints. i suggest using this
action because it has  the wallrush effect.
effect: wallrush
perform: (up/down)+O,O,O

sonic break - 30cp
- this action is a must for any player who plays as cloud. this action takes away heavy
amounts of bravepoints from foe, and sends them away crashing unto a wall. ouch!
in this action cloud is incomplete without this. although it has 3 heavy hits, it can 
definetely own the foe. its also a basis for a branching move o_o
effect: wallrush
perform: (up/down)+O,O,O

bladebeam - 30cp
 - a wave of mako energy coming from the blade, fast wave but weak homing.
 - this action comes from clouds energy. it can send any foe staggaring away giving
you a chance to perform chase. it has a three hit which takes moderate amount of
bravepoints.
effect: chase
perform: (up/down)+O-X(chase)

fira - 20cp
 - same effect of fire but has faster movement
 - replace fire with this if you want. XD
effect: none
perform: (up/down)+O

firage - 30cp
 - this spell unleashes 3 fireballs that explode together or seperately. it can take
heavy amounts of bravepoints away from foe.
effect: uhhh get burned? duh!
perform: (up/down)+O

rising fang - 30cp
 - dash upward at opponent and attacks in a circular pattern against foe, countless
hits end with a powerful upward swing sending them flying. 
 - this move is actually for people who can stay below  their opponent for long periods
of time. or it can be used as an evading action. =) goodluck!
effect: wallrush
perform: (up/down)+O

aerial fang - 30cp
 - dive at opponent from above and send foe upward with a mighty swing
 - this is for people who can stay above the foe longer. this is actually the opposite
action for rising fang. but only performs a 1 hit making chase possible.
effect:chase
perform: (up/down)+O-X(chase)

slashing blow - 330cp
 - a 3 hit action move paired with sonic break. this move can be changed according to
the direction you want(upward or downward.) either way would send foe smashing
against a wall or a container. basis for a branching move ^_^
effect: wallrush
perform: (up/down)+O,O(up/down)+O

==>hp attacks<==
cross-slash - 40cp
 - a three hit combo move that takes away the life and has an awesome windtearing
design. it can send foe flying so fast its almost impossible to recover.
effect: surely wallrush XD
perform: (up/down)+square

meteor rain - 40cp
 - stab sword at ground( no damage.....yet...) calling countless meteors to crash
violently at foes position. a great ranged hp attack. =)
effect: none
perform : (up/down)+square

braver - 40cp
 - a charging stab that can counter magic spells, it also has a 1-2 hit combo...
stab foe for bravepoints then drives foe downwards for hp damage. oww...
effect: wallrush, counter weak magic
perform: square
*cloud simply has one aerial hp attack besides branching move #2

==>branch move<==
*you can only gain the branching moves if you master a particular move. =)
finishing touch - 40cp
comes from sonic break
 - after 2 hits from sonic break you can unleash countless slashes at foe while rising
upwards creating a blue whirlwind effect and ending with a powerful donward strike!
sweet huh?
effect: wallrush
perform: sonic break 2 hits+square

omnislash v5 - 40cp
comes from slashing blow
 - after performing slashing blow 2 hits you can unleash your fullspeed slicing foe 
across every direction. this move finished sephiroth in advent children with a cool
omnislash. the move ends with a downward drive and an explosion(you first, after him,
if you get it haha).
effect: wallrush
perform: slashing blow 2 hits+square

==>Ex mode<==
Omnislash
different from omnislash v5, this attack tears the foe apart with repeating attacks
from his sword the ultima weapon. 
perform: simply press O repeatedly to fill guage to activate limit break.
other scene: if you fail to fill the meter. cloud will instead perform a 3 hit combo 
with heavy bravepoints ending with a large swing.(much like a golf stance.)

effects:
regen - you will regenerate lost healthpoints bit by bit

ultimaweapon(crush) - this effect will crush all the guard attempts of the foe,
easily breaking through the guard, you can kick the foe's ass, much like trigger happy.
but with a sword!!!!
but if difficulty is high, the foe will eventually evade you...but gudluck!

Ultimaweapon(attack) - this will make your damage higher depending on your health
the higher the hp, the higher the damage.

*all these effects will be activated by simply entering into ex mode.

==>equipment<==
for begginners you may want to use every equipment depending on your level.
but if you rech mastery mode(level 100), you can aim for the "ultimaweapon"
just find the code for it hehe sorry forgot the code.

==>accesories<==
this is the part where your stats are really affected. if equipped with wrong
accesories, you can get kicked in the ass pretty easily, plus, the foe can laugh
at your attacks.

you may want to aim for a 10 slot character. just buy a rosetta stone.

Rosetta stone
can be gained through: boxes of odysseys.
can be created through : 1 water stone, 1 wind stone, 1 lifestone
all of which these stones can be really hard to get.
how to acquire the ingredients: just finish arcade mode to receive 1 of each or
finish time mode with a record of 10 mins or below  to receive 10 of each+ 10 mega
elixers. (yeah i have a record of 7 mins try to break that okay? email me! i'll post it!)

now  that you have 10 slots...
if you want the offensive(which i am using)
just simply equip or create and equip the following:

~ 3 strength Crystal  - *B
~ 3 chaos shard - *B
~ 2 chaos crystal - *a
~ 1 sturm and drag - *X(meaning one can only be equipped)

for the defensive type simple replace the strength and chaos with
protect shard/crystal/orb and sturm and drag with great gospel

with luck type?
just equip any item with luck granting effect =)

with the offensive type your stats should look like this:

Hp: 9999/9999 total
cp: 445/450
brv: 916     
atk: 187
def: 179
luk: 60

*plus for exburst your starting amount would be 2500-3100 =)
and all of your abilities should be maxed out...

be sure to practice when to guard on an attack...and please...equip riposte
try this set:

M - means the move should be mastered.

ground evasion - M
midair evasion - M
ground block - M
midair block - M
aerial recovery - M
free airdash - M
multi - air slide - M
speedboost++ - M
jump boost++ - M
jump times boost + - M
controlled recovery - M
midair evasion boost - M
ATI(always target indicator) - M
Ex core lock on - M
evasion time boost - M
precision jump - M
bravery regen - M
ex critical boost - M
riposte - M
exp to HP - M

all of these should help you overcome the toughest of the enemies.
*info on the ultima weapon

Ultimaweapon - a weapon more powerful when the user's hp is full
* better use this to get used to not getting hit by the enemy...because once you 
hit and your hp goes down, your attack would also be pulled down. thats why you
should equip exp to hp to convert your hits to your health for regenerating.
its a great idea for training players not to get hit everytime and get used to 
dodging and guarding...^_^

also just go all out when in ex mode!

~~extras~~
cloud has an alternate costume that he used in the movie final fantasy vii:advent 
children. its the most coolest costume in the game(for me it is haha). it can be bought
for 300pp at the pp catalog...also...while using the costume...cloud uses a fragment
of the busterblade...but once he goes into exmode he's sword quickly turns into the
modified busterblade which he used to kill sephiroth in adventchildren.
