So please be patient with it and tell me if there's anything wrong with it, except from spelling mistakes that is. Due to the fact that I can't update the guide on Lionheart2, and the account is really old and has stuff that I'm never gonna work on again, I created Drummingblitz135. So this guide is my own work. Contact me on [email protected] and You'll get a reply from the one in the title box. Since I'm Writing this as my brother sits next to me play the game things that I'm unsure about will be checked at a later date, when I Play through it again. I'm Unsure about certain things because he skipped it before I told him to go on. Any big Final Fantasy fan should go out and buy this game, simply because it has the best characters in from FFI through to FFXII. It will settle arguements between people who think that they have the best character ever on it. o===============================================================================o | Controls [CNTL]| o===============================================================================o The Controls on the game are fairly easy to grasp. The following are taken from the instruction manual that came with the game: Analog Stick: Move Character Home Button: Quit Game L Button: Switch Menu Items Lock/Unlock Targets R Button: Switch Menu Items Scan Mode Block R Button and: Square: Activate EX mode X: Dodge Circle: Summon Select Button: Switch between customization sets Rest Camera postion D-Pad: Select menu items Move Player Piece Control Camera Triangle Button: Customize Quickmove Sqaure Button: Read letter/show Calander Skill HP attack Circle Button: Cancel Bravery Attack X Button: Confirm Jump/Recovery/Esacpe Banish trap/Chase/Dodge Chase o===============================================================================o | Walkthrough [WKTH]| o===============================================================================o Dissidia has multiple game modes, such as Duel Coliseum and quickplay, but the one that we are most interested in at the moment is the story mode. At the beginning of the game there is only one option that you pick to play, while at the end of the game there are 12+ to choose from. o===============================================================================o | Prologue [PROL]| o===============================================================================o o===============================o |Character: The Warrior of Light| |Stages: 5| |Difficulty: Tutorial| o===============================o The Prologue is the only form of tutorial you will get after starting a new game. Like the rest of the story the Prologue can be played over and over again, gaining you more PP. o=======o |Stage 1| o=======o [ ][ ][ ][ ][ ] [A][ ][ ][ ][ ][B] [ ][ ][ ][ ][ ] [A] - Starting Point [B] - Chaos Stigma Ok this First stage is a fairly easy one. All you have to do here is move The warrior of Light from the starting point[A] to the Chaos Stigma[B] and press X on it. This destroys the Stigma and is the aim of stages. o=======o |Stage 2| o=======o [ ][ ] [ ][ ] [A][ ][B][ ][C][ ][D] [ ][ ] [ ][ ] [A] - Starting point [B] - Enemy [C] - Item [D] - Chaos Stigma Ok so this is the first time that you will have seen an enemy piece. To pass this stage you must engage the enemy. To do this you go up to its piece on the board and press X, just like with the Chaos Stigma. Then the battle will begin. On the Loading screen check the enemies equipment to see what stratergies you will need to use. Get in the habbit of this. After defeating the enemy pick up the potion. Potions fully heal your HP and fill you EX gauge to the full. Once you have the potion destroy the Chaos Stigma again. o=======o |Stage 3| o=======o [ ][ ][ ] [A][ ][B][ ][C][ ][D] [ ][ ][ ] [A] - Starting Point [B] - DP Enemy [C] - Chest - Broadsword [D] - Chaos Stigma When you begin this stage you will be told about skills, which are abbilities that can only be used in on the board. The Stage also introduces DP enemies, which if the condtions are met in the battle then you are rewarded with DP as stated on the battle information. From the starting point[A] you should fight the enemy in the way. The DP condition for this battle is to win within 10 seconds. To do this I suggest that instead of using EX mode you should break them as fast as you can and then attack it. After defeating the piece move on to [C]. This chest contains a Broadsword, which you should equip straight away. Upon opening the chest the shop on the custamization menu is unlocked, however you'll be lacking the needed gil to upgrade your character. After opening the chest go to the Chaos Stigma[D] and carry on to the forth stage of the tutorial. o=======o |Stage 4| o=======o [B][ ][ ] [A][ ][ ] [D] [C][ ][ ] [A] - Starting Point [B] - DP Enemy [C] - DP Enemy [D] - Chaos Stigma Here there are two enemies that will give you DP for doing the tasks. These both have really easy tasks to complete. One is get critical hit in 10 seconds while the other is EX burst in 10 seconds. Stand between both [B] and [C] and engage one of them. Once you have defeated one of them the other will go beserk and challenge you, which you can't escape from, unless you flee in battle (And lose 2DP) After defeating both of the enemies engage the Chaos Stigma[D] to beat the stage. If you did both DP tasks you will win more PP and a better prize. o=======o |Stage 5| o=======o [ ][ ][ ] [ ][ ] [A][ ][B][ ][ ][C] [ ][ ][ ] [ ][ ] [A] - Starting poinnt [B] - Chest - Power Ring [C] - Boss Stigma So this stage has a 'manner of fiend' according to to the Warrior of light does it? I call it a Boss Stigma. But to tell you the truth, its really a boss, its just a different characters Maniquin. From The Starting point[A] Head fowards to open the chest[B] and get the Power ring that lies within. Equip it as you did with the Broadsword, but on the Accessories Menu instead. After equipping the new item head forth to the Boss Stigma[C]. Agian defeat the enemy to advance, but doing so this time will complete the Stage and the Prologue. So thats the Tutorial done, give yourself a pat on the back! Upon completion you've unlock a couple of new things: The PP Shop and A new Tale in the Story Mode. o===============================================================================o | Destiny Odyssey I [DES1]| o===============================================================================o o===============================o |Character: The Warrior of Light| |Stages: 5| |Difficulty: 5| o===============================o Before you start this DO you should note its difficulty. Its a 5/10. Which means that its one of the most difficult DOs in the game. If this is your first play of Dissidia then I suggest you play Cecil's or Cloud's DO until you get used to the game and some more equipment. I should also point out that all characters start in Lvl 1. This means that every time you start a new characters DO for the first time they will be Lvl 1. Ok so before Starting this Destiny odyssey, if you follow the guide in the order that i've wrote, you should make sure that the following is equipped: Broadsword - Prologue I'll let you chose you own accessories on each DO, but you should refer to the characeter notes before chosing them. o=======o |Stage 1| o=======o [F][ ][ ] [ ][ ][ ][E][ ][ ] [A][ ][B][ ][ ][1][G] [ ][ ][ ][C][ ][ ] [D][ ] [A] - Starting Point [B] - Enemy [C] - Enemy (Opens [1]) [D] - Chest - Power Ring [E] - DP Enemy [F] - DP enemy (Spawns after [B]) [G] - Boss Stigma [1] - Normal Lock Ok now this is where you start to get choices abouth wheter you want to maxium DP on the stage or whether you want to get all the enemies and chests on the stage. Beacause of this I will start to make suggetions below the key on what I did for that Stage. Suggestion: Defeat all and gather chests! Ok First stage of the first DO! This is a pretty simple stage to do to be honest. First thing first head to the space between [B], [C] and[D]. The chest on space 4 contains a Power Ring. After defeating the maniquins and obtaining the Power Ring you should equip it. Next head to the space between [E] and [F]. Even though their is nothinG on space[G] at the moment, trust me. Both of these are DP enemies. [E] gives you one DP for getting a critical within 10 seconds and spawns enemy[F]. Enemy[F] gives you one DP for getting a victory within 10 seconds. After that you should head to the Boss Stigma[G] and defeat the boss there. Again this boss isn't very hard if your not a beginner. o=========o |Stratergy| o=========o As I said above this battle isn't really a tough one, if you know how to fight that is. All you need to do against Garland is to use your normal stratergies as if it was a normal fight, but only longer. The way that I dealt with him was to BRV break him and unleash one really powerful attack upon him. o=======o |Stage 2| o=======o [G] [D][ ][B][ ] [%][1][2][ ][ ][ ] [ ] [*][I] [F] [ ] [A] [%][4][3][ ][ ][ ] [ ] [H] [E][ ][C][ ] [A] - Starting Point [B] - DP Enemy (opens [4]) [C] - Enemy [D] - Gold DP Enemy (Opens [1]) [E] - DP Enemy (Opens [3]) [F] - DP enemy (Opens [2]) [G] - Potion [H] - Chest - Bronze Armour [I] - Boss Stigma [1]-[4] - Normal locks [*] - Summon - Ifrit [%] - Golden locks I want to take a moment to tell you about Gold Enemies. These Enemies are really tough. They have on 1HP but have high attack. They are also hard to hit with any attack. Suggestion - Kill all enemies and gather items Ok so this one has a clear path. From the starting point go to [c]. Go this way beacuase the piece behind it is not a DP enemy. To get this pieces DP bonus you have to win the battle within 10 secinds. Next defeat you should defeat enemy[E]. You need to defeat this if you want to get the chest[H]. After this battle head right to the top of the stage into the space between [B] and [D]. Both of these are DP enemies. [B] has a condition of winning without damage while [D] has one of hit a critical in 10 seconds. Now that only leaves enemy[F] left to defeat. After defeating it go to [H] for Bronze armour and [G] for a potion. Equip the Bronze Armour and go the Boss Stigma [I]. o=========o |Stratergy| o=========o Again another easy battle, but a tougher one. A good way to defeat it is to Break it BRV and then use your EX Mode, gained from the potion. Other than this you should use your usual battle tactics against Sephrioth. o=======o |Stage 3| o=======o [ ][C][ ][E] [J] [ ] [D] [ ][H][ ] [A] [ ][1][F][ ][2][L] [ ] [ ] [G][ ] [B][ ][*] [I][K] [A] - Starting Point [B] - Enemy [c] - DP enemy (Opens [1]) [D] - DP enemy [E] - Rare enemy [F] - Boss Stigma [G] - Rare Chest - Rosemary [H] - DP Enemy [I] - DP enemy (opens [2]) [J] - Chest - In Midair [K] - Ether [L] - Chaos Stigma [*] - Summon - Ifrit:Auto Suggestions: Kill all enemies and gather items OK thrid stage, doing well. So you need to unlock two locks here before you can progress onto the next Stage. So the first thing that you will need to do is to go down to the Enemy [B] and defeat it. Then head to the right to pick up the first obtainable summon of the game. Its Ifirt. Equip it as soon as you get it. Then go up to defeat enemy[D]. To get its DP bonus you can't take any damage. Then head up and defeat the next enemy[C]. This also a DP bonus in which you have to get a critical hit within 10 seconds. Defeating this piece also unlocks the first lock. Now theres a boss battle, buts its not the end of the Stage. o=========o |Stratergy| o=========o Ok, Ultimecia is a witch, so common sense would suggest that you get in close to kill her. Don't. Once she has you in a corner her BRV stealing moves will keep you there until she has enough to do a lot of HP damage. Since you have Mid-range techniques, use them! Also don't forget to use your EX Mode to make the battle easier. Ok so after defeating her its back to the board. Next thing that you should do is head down to the enemy[I]. This enemy has a DP bonus that is obtained by performing a wall rush in 10 seconds. Defeating this also allows you to go straight to the Chaos Stigma[L] by opening lock[2]. Instead head to the top of the board and open chest to get a new accessory, In Midair. Equip it if you really want to, but I don't use it. After obtaining the accessory you will have to fight the Enemy[H], who has a nice DP bonus for you, which is given by stopping the enemy getting EX cores. After this go to the Chaos stigma and destroy it. o=======o |Stage 4| o=======o [B][ ][ ][ ][G][H] [L] [ ][ ] [E][ ] [ ][ ] [A] [D][%][ ][1][ ][ ] [ ] [ ][ ] [J][ ] [C][ ][ ][F][ ][I][ ][K] [A] - Starting Point [B] - DP Enemy [C] - Enemy [D] - Rare Chest - Rosetta Stone [E] - Potion (Spawns after [J]) [F] - DP enemy (Unlocks [1]) [G] - DP enemy [H] - Chest - Slasher [I] - Chest - Rosetta Stone [J] - DP enemy [K] - DP enemy [L] - Boss Stigma [1] - Lock [%] - Gold Lock Ok so heres the penultimate Stage of the first DO. Again its another stage with plenty of chances to get DP Bonuses. To get the first head to the Enemy[B] there. To get this bonus all you need to do is to win the battle in ten seconds or less. Next head to the bottom of the Stage and defeat the enemy[C]. After the battle head to the right to defeat enemy[F], which has a DO bonus which is given if you can win the battle without losing any HP. Carry in to the right so that you can pick up the chest, which contains either A Rosetta Stone or 50PP. Then carry on right and defeat both enemimes[J] and [K]. Both of these pieces give you a DP bonus, [J] if you get a critcal hit within ten seconds and [K] if you win without taking any damage. After defeating [J] a potion will spawn. So head up to where the potion is and defeat the enemy[G] first, gaining a DP point if you can win the battle. Why do get a DP for winning? Because its a Level 19, and its a tough 'un to beat, so be careful. After getting winning and getting the potion and winning the battle, go and open the chest[H] to gain Slasher, a nice axe for you. I suggest that you equip it. However, it takes down your Def, so it does have a disadvantage. Now its time to go to the Boss Stigma [L]. But before you do I suggest going to the shop and getting a better helmet so that you have a higher starting BRV. o=========o |Stratergy| o=========o Now the bosses are getting hard. BUt by now you should have enough equipment to make this battle easier, you should already have at least an extra 4atk and an extra 428 HP. Not to mention you should be at least Lv 5. Hopefully you've taken my advice about getting the Slasher and a Helmet. There's no way that he should be dealt with apart from the usual battle stratergies that you use and Jumping a lot to avoid his thrust attack. The Best way to do this in my opinion is to break him so that he can't do any damage for a while. When he's been broke enter your EX mode (Thanks to the potion I told you to get) and EX burst all over his face. Simple when you think about it. o=======o |Stage 5| o=======o [H] [C] [K][ ][F][ ][ ] [M][1][ ][I][ ][D][ ][A] [L][ ][G][ ][B] [J] [E] [A] - Starting Point [B] - Gold DP enemy (Spawn after [D]) [C] - Chest - ??? (Need to check this) [D] - DP Enemy [E] - Potion (spawn after [L]) [F] - Enemy (Spawn after [C]) [G] - Rare Enemy [H] - Chest - Guard Ring (Spawn after [B]) [I] - DP enemy (Unlocks [1]) [J] - Rare Chest - Mythril [L] - DP Enemy (Spawn after [I]) [K] - Enemy (Spawn from [H]) [M] - Boss Stigma [1] - Lock Final Stage of the first DO. LEts get this done and start on the next DO. Ok so as usual, the starting point is [A]. This time there is a lot to do on the Stage, even though it may not look it to start with, as there are lots of spawns on this stage. From the Starting point of the stage [A] head up to the first chest [C]. After opening the chest a new piece will spawn, enemy[F]. So now choose between that and enemy[D] to fight. Enemy[D] is a DP enemy, which to gain its bonus you need to break your opponent within 10 seconds of starting the fight. After defeating these two pieces go and to the left and engage enemy[I]. Again this is another DP bonus fight, aquired by stopping the opponent from getting the EX cores. This also opens up Lock[1]. Next open the chest[H] for a guard ring and a spawn of a normal enemy[K]. Then head down and and defeat enemy[L] which spawned after you defeated enemy[I]. You can get a DP bonus here by defeating it without taking any damage. So now go defeat enemy[B]. This is a golden enemy with a FP bonus which is gained by EX bursting in 10 secs. Finally get the potion[E] and go to the Boss Stigma[M]. o=========o |Stratergy| o=========o Ok so here's the final boss of the first DO. Its Garland, the very first boss od this DO, remember him? Since he has a higher level he's a tougher fight than he was before. Apart from the extra stats, he's still an easy fight. BRV break him as per usual and then unleash a deadly EX burst on him. This should kill him, especailly if you have some good equipment. If it doesn't keep on hammering him with the BRV attacks and then a HP one again. Yeah! You just completed the first DO! In my opinion it was one of the hardest ones in the whole game. o===============================================================================o | Destiny Odyssey II [DES2]| o===============================================================================o o===============================================================================o | Version History [VHIS]| o===============================================================================o Vesion 1.0 - 06/01/10 - Started Guide Version 2.0 - ??/01/10 - Started 'Destiny Odyssey' Updated Maps
