========================================================================
I. Introduction
========================================================================
Im just a casual gamer that happens to like Kefka enough to make a FAQ
about him. Not much to say, really. Lets just get on with the
guide.

========================================================================
II. Who is this "Kefka" person? [KefP]
========================================================================

Kefka Palazzo (Kefuka Parattso, spelled as Cefca Palazzo
in the Japanese version) is the main antagonist of Final Fantasy VI.
Kefka acts as the court mage of Emperor Gestahl early in the game, and
simply carries out his monarch's orders. However, behind Gestahl's back,
Kefka attacks various towns and drains the power of Espers meant for
Imperial usage. This gradual culmination in power leads Kefka to
overthrow Gestahl and take control of the Warring Triad, effectively
becoming the God of Magic itself.

While previous villains in the Final Fantasy series were distant,
cold, ruthless, and bent on their goals, Kefka is loud, short-tempered,
maniacal, and destructive. His popularity among Final Fantasy fans as a
villain is rivaled only by Sephiroth. Kefka is well-known for his many
one-liners, his final appearance as an Angel of Death
(which has become something of a tradition in the series), and his
sociopathic hatred of virtually everything in existence.
His dark humor and jester-like appearance have earned him the nickname
"The Psycho Clown" among fans. Kefka's most defining character trait
is delectably his laugh, a trademark high-pitched cackle that is
repeated numerous times throughout the game.

========================================================================
III. Why use Kefka? [WuKef]
========================================================================

Well, Kefka's Playstyle is VERY different from the rest of the fighters.
His attacks are made to confuse the enemy with a barrage of spells.
Kefka excels in bravery damage, and in the hands of a good
Kefka player, you'll be filled with Bravery very quickly. Though, theres
a downside to his power...his HP attacks arent that good. But don't
worry! There are very easy ways to get around that problem! Another thing
that makes Kefka great, his awesome encounter quotes and all his
sound effects.

Kefka's playstyle is VERY different. His spells are very ineffective by
themselves. Thats why you have to throw in as many havoc-creating spells
at the enemy as possible. Throw in 2 Firagas and a Scatter-Spray Blizzaga,
its sure to hit!

Many people underestimate Kefka, or say he sucks, just because they dont
understand his playstyle. Kefka is all about confusing the enemy.
Make them dodge one attack to get hit by another. Thats Kefka's style.
Even if its repetitive, its still confusing to dodge a good Kefka player.

Now, here are some of his Pros. and Cons. Cons first since we want
good news for last.

Pros. and Cons.

==============
Cons
==============
-Can be hard to use
-Most attacks can be deflected easily
-Dodge Canceling his attacks can be hard
-Relies on Wobbly-Firaga for combos
-Almost NEEDS an EX build

=============
Pros
=============
+godly in EX mode(No pun intended)
+Can rack up bravery really fast
+Fun to use
+Attacks can be hard to dodge when mixed together
+He's a clown
+He gets underestimated

Overall, he can be tough to use, but rewarding.

=======================================================================
IV. Kefka's Bravery Attacks[KBA]
=======================================================================

If you havent noticed, Kefka has a LOT of bravery attacks, both for
ground and air. So you can have any spell in the air, or the ground!
The following spells are for both land and air, so lets cover
them all in one section. Also, Kefka attacks from above, meaning some
characters could have a tough time deflecting some attacks.
Im reviewing these attacks as individuals but I will also rate them
when used as combos.
Anyway, Lets begin!

Here's how everything will look:

======================================
Name of Attack
======================================
*[Rating]:The rating I give the attack, duh.
*[RatingCB]:The rating I give when used with other spells,ussually WWF.

*[Description]:What the attack does.

*[Review]:I'll review the attack.

======================================
1.Twisty-Turny Blizzaga
======================================
*[Rating]:1 out of 5
*[RatingCB]:2 out of 5

*[Description]:Kefka shoots a ball of ice that bounces once and
then goes forward, maybe curving a bit.

*[Review]:
I havent found any good use for this attack. Its easy to dodge and
it doesnt wreak much havoc. Until I find a good use for it, it's
rating will stay the same.
During EX mode, it bounces and climbs up
walls, but its still useless.

======================================
2.Scatter-Spray Blizzaga
======================================
*[Rating]:3 out of 5(4 while in EX mode)
*[RatingCB]:4 out of 5(5 out of 5 in EX mode)

*[Description]:Kefka shoots a huge chunk of ice that then breaks
into smaller pieces that home in onto the enemy.

*[Review]:
Its a nice attack, annoying to dodge, good
damage, but, its deflectable, and Kefka leaves himself wide open while
doing the attack. Its deflectable, so try to make it so the enemy doesnt
block or hit the big chunk of ice.
During EX mode, this thing is Over
Powered, after the big chunk breaks, the pieces follow the enemy and
after hitting the enemy, they come back for a second hit!
Its really hard to dodge during EX mode.

======================================
3.Extra-Crispy Firaga
======================================
*[Rating]:3 out of 5
*[RatingCB]:3.5 out of 5(4 while in EX mode)

*[Description]:Kefka shoots 3 small flames that follow the enemy.

*[Review]:
Its a good attack to do in boxed-in areas, like Pandemonium or Kefka's
Tower because it can bounce around and hit the opponent from behind.
You should use this in tight areas along with other magic
attacks, like Waggle-Wobbly Firaga.
During EX mode, Kefka shoots one big flame like Waggle-Wobbly
Firaga but then it breaks into 5 smaller flames. Could be used
to confuse enemies.

======================================
4.Waggle-Wobbly Firaga
======================================
*[Rating]:3.5 out of 5(4 while in EX mode)
*[RatingCB]:4 out of 5(5 while in EX mode

*[Description]:Kefka shoots a huge flame that follows the enemy and
alternates between small and large sizes.

*[Review]:
This is great to pressure your enemy.
You can have 2 out at a time, which is really good. Mix this with
his HP attacks, and they are bound to hit.
During EX mode, Kefka shoots 2 of them at the same time!
And you can do it again to have a whopping 4 Firagas following the enemy!
This attack is awesome in EX mode! But remember, youre vulnerable
while doing the attack and its easily deflected.

=====================================
5.Lickety-Split Thundaga
=====================================
*[Rating]:2.5 out of 5
*[RatingCB]:2 out of 5(this just does not work well with combos)

*[Description]:Kefka shoots a line of thunder straight ahead, which
grows bigger and bigger the farther it goes, it also causes a chase
to happen.

*[Review]:
This attack isnt his most useful, but it could help you get out of
a tight spot.
During EX mode he shoots another pillar immediately after
the first.

=====================================
6.Zap-Trap Thundaga
=====================================
*[Rating]:2.5 out of 5
*[RatingCB]:3 out of 5

*[Description]:Kefka Starts dancing while shooting lightning randomly
around the enemy.

*[Review]:
The faster you press the O button the more lightning strikes. I think
this is a pretty neat attack. Mix it with some Firagas and the enemy
will have a tough time dodging the random lightning.
During EX mode, Kefka shoots pillars of lightning, making even harder
to dodge. But remember, this is better when the enemy is really
far away, otherwise you can get hit by an enemy attack.

=====================================
7.Meteor
=====================================
*[Rating]:3 out of 5(3.5 while in EX mode)
*[RatingCB]:3.5 out of 5(4 while in EX mode)

*[Description]:Kefka makes a circle of orbs appear around the enemy,
then they fall down to the ground, bounce off the floor, and hit the
enemy.

*[Review]:
Its vertical range is limited, but if it hits, its pretty deadly.
During EX mode they bounce a bit more to make it more unpredictable.
Pretty good actually. Its especially good against ground characters,
like Golbez and Firion.

=====================================
8.Ultima
=====================================
*[Rating]: 3 out of 5(4 during EX mode)
*[RatingCB]:3.5 out of 5(4 while in EX mode)

*[Description]:Kefka shoots a blue-ish orb that afterwards blows up.

*[Review]:
At first glance, Ultima might seem pretty crappy, with the slowness and
how easy it is to dodge. But mix it with the other spells and it can
be very useful to keep the enemy away. Basically, its a keep-away spell.
Think of Ultima as Kefka's suicidal bodyguard. Enemies dashing towards
you will get hit by the orb and the explosion afterwards.
And any critical hit with Ultima will be SURE to hurt badly, easily
doing 2000 bravery damage with a critical hit.
During EX mode, this thing is godly. Kefka shoots an orb, blows it up, but
another orb appears where the first orb blew up. That one follows the
enemy even more, then blows up, and then ANOTHER orb appears where the
second one blew up .With a total of 3 orbs blowing up, it gets hard to
dodge mixed with Firagas.

That's it for hit bravery attacks. Dont worry about his aerial ones, they
are exactly the same.
Lets move onto his HP attacks.

=========================================================================
V. Kefka's HP attacks[KHPA]
=========================================================================

Well, to say the least, Kefka's HP attacks arent that great. But
with the proper spells helping out, they can get pretty hard to dodge.
Lets begin.

=====================================
Name of Attack
=====================================
*[Rating]:The rating I give the attack, DUH
*[RatingCB]:The rating I give the attack when use in combos.

*[Description]:What the attack does.

*[Review]:My lil' review of the attack

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ground HP attacks
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
=====================================
1.Havoc Wing
=====================================
*[Rating]:3 out of 5
*[RatingCB]:4 out of 5

*[Description]:Kefka jumps a bit and then smacks and enemy with his wings.
Close Range.

*[Review]:A MUST have attack in your arsenal. Good for a quick attack,
can catch you off-guard, and its cool!

======================================
2.Trine
======================================
*[Rating]:2.5 out of 5(3.5 while in EX mode)
*[RatingCB]:3 out of 5(4 during EX mode)

*[Description]:Kefka summons 3 triangle-like figures around the enemy
that follows them for a certain distance.

*[Review]:
Really, this only gets 2.5 for being so
easy to dodge. Although, mixed with the almighty firagas, it can easily
score 3 out of 5.
During EX mode he double-casts it, makes it a lot
harder to dodge.

======================================
3.HyperDrive
======================================
*[Rating]:2 out of 5(2.5 while in EX mode)
*[RatingCB]:1 out of 5(This is terrible for a combo)

*[Description]:Kefka acts like he's falling asleep but when you release
the [] button, he wakes up and shoots a fire pillar at the enemy, distance
and size depends on length of charge.

*[Review]:
His WORST HP attack, its only getting a 2 instead of a 1 because
of how fast it comes out, nothing else. HORRIBLE.

======================================
4.Forsaken Null
======================================
*[Rating]:3 out of 5(4 while in EX mode)
*[RatingCB]:3.5 out of 5(4.5 while in EX mode)

*[Description]:Kefka starts spinning around while a sigil follows the
enemy while shooting orbs that blow up. Keep the [] button press to home
in.

*[Review]:
Kefka is very vulnerable while doing this attack. Only use it if your
REALLY high up, far away, or your enemy is busy doing something, like
trying to get an EX core.
During EX mode, its REALLY hard to dodge this
attack. The orbs angle towards the enemy instead of just falling, and
the explosions are larger. Even outside of EX mode, this is hard to dodge.
Only use this from far away though.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Aerial HP attacks
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

======================================
1.Aerial Havoc Wing
======================================
*[Rating]:3.5 out of 5
*[RatingCB]:4 out of 5

*[Description]:Kefka jumps a bit and then smacks the enemy with his wings.

*[Review]:
This version is better, in my opinion. Its easier to hit with.

=====================================
2.Aerial Trine
=====================================
*[Rating]:3 out of 5(3.5 while in EX mode)
*[RatingCB]:3 out of 5(4 while in EX mode)

*[Description]:Same thing as the ground version.

*[Review]:This one is a bit safer to use, and it can multi-hit if
you spam it near a wall thats near a ceiling during EX mode.

=====================================
3.Forsaken Null
=====================================
*[Rating]:3 out of 5(3.5 while in EX mode)
*[RatingCB]:3.5 out of 5(4.5 while in EX mode)

*[Description]:Same exact thing as the ground version, only safer to use.

*[Review]:Nuff' said.

=========================================================================
VI.EX mode[EXME]
=========================================================================

EX mode:Kefka turns into his god form, wings and scary face included.
Like Gabranth, Kefka's EX mode is very VERY good. It makes fights
quicker, easier, and a lot more fun. His spells gain many different
effects and hit a lot more. Most of the extra effects are explained
in the Bravery attacks section.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
A.EX mode effects[EXE]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

===========================
1.Regen
===========================
Every EX mode has this.

===========================
2.Exhilirating Magic
===========================
This makes your spells much more unpredictable and harder
to dodge. Thats why Kefka's EX mode is so important.
His spells are a lot more chaotic and unpredictable.
And his critical hits are just devastating.

==========================
3.Glide
==========================
Use all your jumps and keep the X button pressed and Kefka
will glide.

==========================
EX burst
==========================
Light of Judgement:

Kefka shoots a giant pillar of light at the enemy.
Its quick, and doesnt look too cool, but he says
"That was titillating" at the end, which makes
me want to do it even if it looks lame.

==========================
Failed EX burst
==========================
Forsaken:

The Background changes for a second and Kefka
slashes(explosion?) the enemy. Looks cooler in my opinion.

=========================================================================
VII. Killing the other guys [KOG]
=========================================================================

In this section, Ill explain what I think is the best strategy against
certain characters. Here's how everything will look:

---------------------------------------------------
Name of the Character
---------------------------------------------------
[Comment on the character and recommended strategy]

BLAH BLAH BLAH

-------------------
[Rating]:From 1 to 5
-------------------

Rating system:

1.Super easy
2.Easy
3.Think before you try anything
4.Difficult,but possible
5.You'll have a really hard time

Now, lets get started!

---------------------------------------------------
1.Warrior of Light(W00)
---------------------------------------------------
Ok...theres not much to say, except, DO NOT get hit
by his aerial bravery attacks. He can chain them
into HP attacks, and thats not good for you. Keep
your distance.
Lets explain how to handle his
HP attacks. Shield of Light is pathetic as an attack,
but, he can deflect your spells with it, which is NOT
good. Thankfully, WWF has an odd trajectory, so theres
a high chance that it wont hit his shield.
Shining Wave is pathetic as well. You should be high
up in the air, you shouldnt worry about this.
Radiant Sword can catch you off-guard I guess, but
super easy to dodge too. The only threat is his
chain attacks, which can be easily blocked.
Ultima is good for a keep-away move
so dont be afraid to use it. Decimate him with
WWFiraga + SSBlizzaga/Havoc Wing. Just be careful
if he blocks the WWF.
------------------
[Rating]:3
------------------

---------------------------------------------------
2.Garland(G00)
---------------------------------------------------
Not that hard actually. Blaze is the only HP attack
you should worry about if your not at the distance your
supposed to be, FAR AWAY. Cyclone can deflect some
of your spells though, so cease-fire when he does it.
Tsunami and Earthquake work only on the ground, your
supposed to be in the air, no threat at all.
Block Bardiche and Twist Drill. The only bravery attacks
that should worry you are Chain cast and Twin Swords.
Its pretty straight forward. Keep your distance,
block incoming attacks, be aware of where he is, NEVER be in
a corner, and do the usual, WWF combos.
------------------
[Rating]:2
------------------

---------------------------------------------------
3.Firion(F00)
---------------------------------------------------
You have an amazing advantage over Firion.
He's terrible in the air. Let me explain his HP attacks.
StraightArrow is easy to dodge and it can be
blocked(though you stagger). You should be out of
Weapon Master's range and your attack's odd trajectories
should keep you safe from Shield Bash. If for some reason
Shield Bash blocks an attack, focus and try to dodge the first two
attacks which setup for the third attack(HP damage).
Lure him into the air, and decimate him. If he stays
in the ground, just go above him(dodging any attacks of course)
and combo him. But beware, his Reel Axe has some good reach.
This can be a tough fight if your not careful.

------------------
[Rating]:3
------------------

---------------------------------------------------
4.The Emperor(E00)
---------------------------------------------------
Flare is easy to dodge, but dont underestimate it.
You could be caught up in attacking, and you might
end up getting hit by Flare. StarFall should be
no problem as long as you stay a fair distance from him.
Most of the time, he'll do StarFall just to lure you
into his traps. If he does this, do Forsaken. Im sure
he'll let go of Starfall.
This fight can be annoying if he spams Light Crest, but this
fight isnt so bad. Whenever he does Light Crest, try
to Dash towards the orbs, or dodge forward
and shoot a WWF. Whenever he does Light Crest, dodge
and counter-attack with WWF, simple as that. For
StarFall, dash towards him(use Free Air dash for this fight)
and try to havoc wing his face into submission.
There isnt much to say, other than to watch out for
his mines and flares, and stay near him. And NEVER
fight him in pandemonium unless you want a challenge.
------------------
[Rating]:3
------------------

---------------------------------------------------
5.Onion Knight(O00)
---------------------------------------------------
What an annoying little bugger. Straight forward fight.
Keep your distance, combo, kill, end. Blade Torrent has
pathetic range, Firaga is easy to dodge, Wind Shear is
close-ranged, and Comet has bad range too. Now, his HP
attacks are pathetic, but his chain attacks can be deadly.
Try not to get hit by ANY of his bravery attacks, since
they all chain into another bravery attack or an HP attack.
For an offense, do the usual, WWF + WWF + SSB/Havoc Wing.
------------------
[Rating]:3
------------------

---------------------------------------------------
6.Cloud of Darkness(C00)
---------------------------------------------------
Unlike Onion Knight, she actually poses a threat.
Anti-Air, Long-Range, and Wrath will pose
a massive threat. Im not going into detail with her
HP attacks, they're too many, but those 3 will pose
the most threat. So, be careful when fighting her,
and try to pull off your combos very carefully.
------------------
[Rating]:4
------------------

---------------------------------------------------
7.Cecil Harvey(CE00)
---------------------------------------------------
Easy Peasy. Dark Flame is easy to dodge, Soul Eater
is close-range and only in the ground. Saint's Fall
just requires a simple side-dodge, and Paladin Force
requires a little timing for the dodge, but easy to
dodge nonetheless.
Just watch out for Dark cannon which can
chain into Soul Eater(youre not supposed to be on the ground)
and watch out for SearchLight which can chain into
Paladin Force. Everything else is easy as long as you
keep your distance.
------------------
[Rating]:2
------------------

---------------------------------------------------
8.Golbez(GO00)
---------------------------------------------------
Easy as well. Golbez has insane ground-control. Too
bad you control the skies. NightGLow requires you to
be near the ground, so its pathetic. Genesis Rock
can get you easily though. Also, if you can time it
correctly, you can destroy the rocks during Genesis
Rock(while they are spinning) with Havoc Wing.
Its hard to time, but it helps out a lot if he starts
spamming Genesis Rock. Lure him into the air,
dodge to the sides whenever he uses Float/Gravity system,
and punish with SSB. Super Easy as long as you stay in
the air.
------------------
[Rating]:2
------------------

---------------------------------------------------
9.Bartz(B00)
---------------------------------------------------
Not much to say since he steals everyone's moves.
Just apply everything you've learned and you'll be
fine. His only unique move is Goblin Punch, which is
really fast, so, while hes in EX mode, stay away from him.
------------------
[Rating]:3
------------------

---------------------------------------------------
10.Exdeath(ED00)
---------------------------------------------------
This can be an annoying fight, or an easy one.
Delta Attack is like Shield of Light, pathetic.
Almagest requires you to be near him, which you
Shouldnt. And finally, Grand Cross, which has amazing range,
but its impossible that it will hit unless your
not paying attention.
If he starts teleporting like crazy, it'll be a VERY
annoying fight, but no where near dangerous. Amazingly, his
High-Guard isnt all that effective against Kefka,
that is, if your lucky enough for your WWF to attack
from behind/under/above him.
The trick to beating him
is to attack him from above, shoot WWF from above, shoot
SSB from above, and it'll be an easy fight. Only use SSB
if he's getting hit by WWF, because he can block SSB
easily, also, trine is hard to block since it hits
from 3 different angles. Forsaken Null is also good
against Exdeath, but you leave yourself open for his
slow, but strong bravery attacks. If youre unlucky
enough to have him guard one of your attacks,
you can easily dodge his counter-attack, as long
as its not Havoc Wing. Also, beware Omni-guard.
------------------
[Rating]:2-4(depends on person's skill)
------------------

----------------------------------------------------
11.Terra(T00)
----------------------------------------------------
Easy fight as well. Watch out for Holy, she can
chain ultima if you get hit. Meltdown can be shot almost
instantly and bounces all over the place, so its very
dangerous, be very careful. Flood is pathetic, and Tornado
requires you to be near her. Also, counter her Blizzara
with SSB, or WWF. Its kinda like the Emperor, let
them attack, dodge, and shoot your own attack, rinse, and repeat.
Basically, its "dodge, combo, dodge, next attack, combo". Thats
all there is to it.
------------------
[Rating]:3
------------------

----------------------------------------------------
12.Kefka(K00)
----------------------------------------------------
Ahh, a mirror match. With my FAQ, you should know Kefka
like the back of your hand, so this shouldnt be a
problem unless he manages to pull of the combos.
So, what do you do? You never give him a break.
Get into his face, try to deflect his spells, and
try to stop him from casting WWF. As long as
he cant use WWF, his combos will just plain suck.
Wait, what if he does the same thing? Ultima, is your
best friend. What if he uses ultima too? Dodge and
WWF. The only thing that makes this fight "tough"
is the fact that he can do anything you can do.
Try to counter his attacks, and try to work around
his combos. IT all comes down to who gets in EX mode
first.
------------------
[Rating]:1-4(depends on person's skill)
------------------

----------------------------------------------------
13.Cloud(CL00)
----------------------------------------------------
Super Easy. Braver is pathetic, Cross-Slash is ground only
and Meteorain is easy to dodge.
Unless the Cloud user is stupid, he wont
even dare to use his bravery attacks(you DO know how to block?).
Braver is easily dodged, so is Cross Slash, Meteor Rain
is pathetic, Finishing Touch is never used, and Slashing
Blow is easy to block. Now, during EX mode, NEVER block
Cloud, EVER. He is impossible to block during EX mode.
When out of EX mode, combo him to death.
Just don't get too overconfident, or your bravery will fall...
fast.
------------------
[Rating]:2
------------------

----------------------------------------------------
14.Sephiroth
----------------------------------------------------
Easy as well. Scintilla is easy to dodge, and you have
no melee attacks other than Havoc Wing, not to mention
its guard is only for a brief second. Black Materia is
easily dodged, Omni-dash away and its no threat.
Heaven's Light is pathetically easy to dodge too.
Hells' Gate needs precise timing to dodge, but poses
little threat. OctoSlash is the only HP attack you should
worry about, can be a bit hard to dodge. For bravery attacks,
its best to stay away from Sephiroth. And whenever you see
an attack coming, dodge to the side or block and cast a spell.
Be careful with his faster bravery attack, Sudden Cruelty.
Its fast and hard to block/dodge. Watch out for those
attacks and it'll be an easy fight. Just remember
your best combo, WWF + WWF + SSB/Havoc Wing.

15.Squall(SQ00)
----------------------------------------------------
The BANE of Kefka. Let me go through his HP attacks.
Fated/Aerial Circle shields him from weak attacks, but
its easy to dodge, unless youre casting a spell, which you
do all the time. Blasting Zone goes forward in a straight line,
poses no threat if youre in the air. Revolver Drive is
useless against you since youre SUPPOSED to be in the
air. Now, Rough Divide....its almost impossible
to cast spells with him doing Rough Divide. Now, aerial
circle and Rough Divide make casting spells a whole lot
tougher. Not to mention he can drain bravery just as
fast as you can drain his. So, be very careful when casting spells,
keep him out of EX mode, and stay away from him,
Beat Fang is NASTY.

16.Ultimecia(U00)
-----------------------------------------------------
Ugh, this IS a VERY annoying fight. Casting spells
is impossible. She can constantly be shooting arrows
and axes and its just annoying. And Apocalypse
and Great Attractor are super annoying to dodge too.
Thank God ShockWave Pulsar is pathetic.
Try to get below her(perverted Kefka >.>) and try
to shoot spells from there. If for some odd reason
she doesnt have Apocalypse equipped, go above her.

-----------------------------------------------------
17.Zidane(Z00)
-----------------------------------------------------
Speedy little fellow. Tidal Flame is pathetic, Stellar
Circle 5 is close-ranged, Shift Break gives you plenty
of time to get away, and Grand Lethal is easy to dodge
too. Free Energy comes out fast though, but its close
ranged, so your not in much danger.
Straight forward fight.
Dodge, combo, dodge, combo. Other than his Bravery->HP
chains and Free Energy, theres not much to worry about.

-----------------------------------------------------
18.Kuja(KJ00)
-----------------------------------------------------
Very annoying fight as well. Im not going into
detail, but try to stay above him, and be careful when
casting spells, he can cast Ultima and you'll be in a
world of hurt.He has no way of attacking above or
below himself though (unless you count those cruddy attacks).
Flare Star is also nasty, and during EX mode
you'll just want to stay away from him completely.
Thankfully Seraphic Star is pathetic(Thank God).
Its impossible to cast spells when you have a Tranced Kuja
flying around while damaging you.
--------------------
[Rating]:5
--------------------

------------------------------------------------------
19.Tidus(TD00)
------------------------------------------------------
Another fast character. Spiral Cut is ground only so its
useless, Energy Rain is easy to dodge but can get you
if your casting a spell, Charge and Assault
can be annoying, but its nothing special, Jecht Shot is the
same thing, annoying, but nothing special. Worry only about
his chain attacks. A lot of his bravery attacks chain
into HP attacks, but they're easy to block. Jecht Shot
can make casting spells annoying, but its not too bad.
All of his attacks are easy to read and block. But...
whenever he dodges kinda slugishly, he's going to do a
"dodge and attack" move. Now a good Tidus player can
literally dodge around you and get you. So when he tries
to do one of those moves, either block it a second after he
starts moving(pay close attention) or try to dodge it.
Your call. Just make sure you dodge them because they all
chain into an HP attack.

[Rating]:3
--------------------

-------------------------------------------------------
20.Jecht(JE00)
-------------------------------------------------------
He does LOADS of damage, so STAY AWAY. A good Jecht player
would never use his HP attacks unless its in a combo or
if its Triumphant Grasp/Jecht Finger.
But for the sake of inclusion, here they are.
Jecht Blade can be tricky to dodge, but your supposed to
be far away so its no threat, Triumphant Grasp goes
downward and you'll be above him, no threat either, and
finally, Ultimate Jecht Shot(UJS for short). UJS is a
very risky move, so he should never use it unless its in
a combo. Keep your distance,
let loose with your magic, and try to dodge him at ALL
costs. He has no long range attacks, so at a distance your safe.
Whenever you see him dashing towards you, use Ultima or go away.
It will force him to move back. Easy fight if you can keep
your distance.

[Rating]:3
--------------------

--------------------------------------------------------
21.Shantotto(ST00)
--------------------------------------------------------
She can be very annoying, but this is no where near a
difficult fight. Her HP attacks get harder to dodge as
her bravery rises. So, try to combo her to keep her bravery low.
So, whats stopping you? Bind, Stun and Bio. Bind will stop you
from moving, making you an easy target for her spells. Stun
just makes you stagger, she can't attack while your staggering
though. Bio is a slow, homing spell that slowly drains your
bravery when you get hit, it can be blocked. Now, Bind and
Stun make casting spells very hard. Bind will keep you
In place and make you an easy target and stun will
interrupt your spells. Bio is just annoying and obligates
you to stop for a second and block. Its an easy fight,
but she can make it so annoying.

--------------------------------------------------------
22.Gabranth(GB00)
--------------------------------------------------------
You and him have something in common. Your both very
impressive during EX mode. Now, Gabranth doesnt have ANY
HP attacks outside of EX mode, but he can raise his EX gauge
without getting EX force/Cores. You want to get all
the EX force and EX cores before him, so he poses no threat.
If he does get into EX mode, run away. Yup, simple as that.
Stay away from him, and run away. Innocence has pathetic range,
Hatred has bad range too, and Guilt only works
on the ground. Now, if your fighting in Edge of Madness, you
have two options, fight and get killed, or get as high up as
possible and cast a barrage of spells, your choice.
Anyway, as long as you keep him out of EX mode, he poses
no threat whatsoever. One more thing, he can do HP attacks
during chases.

Well, thats it for the Match-ups. They were hard to write, so
dont flame me >.>

VIII. Suggested Setups[SUSE]
=========================================================================

----------------
accesories
----------------

The BEST accessory build for Kefka is an EX Core build.
Here's the one I use:

DragonFly Orb
Gold Hourglass
Victory Pendant
HP = 100%(you)
Summon unused/used(you)
EX mode(you)
Pre-HP attack(you)
Hp = 100%(opponent)
First to Victoy
Fake Mustache

Ofcourse,you don't HAVE to use this, and you can change the booster
accesories to anything you want, just make sure they give you atleast
4.0 (these give me 6.5).

Oh, and if your wondering why I dont have "Center of the World", its
because its not necessary. With boosters you can have more EX force
range and more EX force absorption, so its not necessary.

---------------
equipment
---------------
This is what I use (requires some Lores):

Zwill Crossblade(Nirvana is good too)
Genji Shield
Genji Helm
Genji Armor

Lores required:
Equip Heavy armor(Warrior Lore)
Equip Daggers(Thief Lore)
Equip Shields(Knight Lore)
Equip Helms(Marksman Lore)

You can use other setups, but this one works very well.
And try to master those abilities to get the adepts, they help out.

---------------
abilities
---------------
This is what I use:

Ground
O = Lickety-Split Thundaga
^ + O = Extra-Crispy Firaga

Air
O = Waggle-Wobble Firaga
O + ^ = Scatter-Spray Blizzaga
O + V = Extra-Crispy Firaga/Ultima

Again,use any setup you want, im just showing you what I use.

==========================================================================
IX. Magic combos [MGCB]
==========================================================================

In this section, I'll be showing you some of the magic combos that I use
when playing as Kefka. There are many more combos you can make, though.

=================================
1.Waggle-Wobbly Firaga + Waggle-Wobbly Firaga + Scatter-Spray Blizzaga
=================================
A nice little combo. Great for getting some quick Bravery damage.

=================================
2.Waggle-Wobbly Firaga + Waggle-Wobbly Firaga + Zap-Trap Thundaga
=================================
Another good combo utilizing Firaga. Though this one is better suited for
long range, unlike the first combo, which is better for mid-range.

=================================
3.Waggle-Wobble Firaga + Ultima + Scatter-Spray Blizzaga
=================================
This one is better suited for when your in EX mode. Crazy hard to dodge
while in EX mode.

=================================
4.Waggle-Wobble Firaga + Waggle-Wobble Firaga + Havoc Wing
=================================
Easy combo for some quick HP damage.

There are MANY MANY MANY more combos Kefka can do, but I'll post
them later on. If you have a combo that you'd like me to add to my guide,
Contact me.

2.Recommended abilities[RECOA]
----------------------------
In this section,I'll explain why certain abilities would be
best for Kefka. Lets begin.

-----------------
1.Omni-Air Dash
-----------------
Instead of getting Free airdash, get Omni-airdash.
With Omni, you can get out of a tight situation,
you can get to an EX core faster, and Kefka really has
no need to dash towards the opponent.

-----------------
2.Jump Bost++
-----------------
Face it, Kefka falls down like a rock and the best
way to get back in the air is by jumping, and Jump
Boost makes getting higher in the air so much easier.
This is defenitely a MUST.

-----------------
3.Sneak Attack
-----------------
This is great. Sometimes your WWF will get them from
behind, and this ability will make it so you do a bunch of
critical hits, and you've probably learned that a critical
hit from Kefka is bound to hurt.

----------------
4.EX critical boost
----------------
Another MUST-have ability. This just makes Kefka eat bravery
like no tomorrow while in EX mode. IT doesnt even need
an explanation, you'll do LOADS of damage.

---------------
5.EXP to EX force
---------------
Everytime you hit with an HP attack, you'll gain some
EX. This works very well with Forsaken Null since you'll
probably hit more than once with it. Not a MUST-HAVE
but definitely not useless.

----------------------------
3.Kefka's little trick[KefLT]
----------------------------

Kefka's sound cues messing up your strategy?
Fret no more, I have the solution!

If you attack right in the MIDDLE of your dodge,
Kefka will do his dodge sound instead of doing
his sound effects!
Let me explain more clearly.
You dodge. Before your dodge ends, you do an attack.
And lets say that attack was Scatter-Spray Blizzaga.
Instead of saying "Cmon cmon cmon!", he'll do
the sound he does when he dodges. Master this
and sound effects wont trouble you anymore!

----------------------------
4.The Ultima spam against melee characters![USaMC]
----------------------------

Ill explain this in steps.

1.Get into EX mode

2.Make sure your enemy is strictly close or mid range, like
Jecht or Sephiroth.

3.Use Ultima

4.Dodge forward before Ultima ends and use ultima again

5.Keep spamming it

6.Rinse

7.Repeat

8.until

9.you've

10.got

11.some

12.distance

13.and have done good damage.

Thats it. It works 100% of the time. Both against
humans and CPUs. Just make sure its a strict melee character or
you'll be in a world of hurt. Also, dont do this forever. Do it
once or twice and stop or your EX gauge will deplete and you
wont be able to fill it up, since Ultima doesnt drop much EX force.
