Introduction [IN]

Somewhere between eating, sleeping, and working lies a wonderful world; The
world of video games. It's a magical place where anything you imagine can
come true, provided enough people care about it and decide it's worth their time
to create. Thankfully, Bleach: Heat the Soul 5 is the result of people caring in
such a manner. The lovely people at 8ing and SCEI have given us another great
Bleach game. As a loyal fan of the series, I felt it was my duty to create this
guide to aid those who wish to play it and unlock everything, but have no
knowledge of the Japanese language. While I myself am not fluent, I am able to
understand 70-80% of what I read. Because of that remaining 20-30%, I do not
claim that this guide is 100% accurate or that the translated sections are
literal translations. They are simply what I could, to the best of my
understanding, figure out. I hope you all enjoy this game as I do, and that this
guide is of great use to you!

Tutorial 1st [T1]

No.1: Player: Kurosaki Ichigo (Shikai)
Opponent: Madarame Ikkaku (Shikai)
Condition: Dodge an attack.
Tip: Pretty simple. Just stand right in front of Ikkaku and
mash either up or down until he attacks.
No.2: Player: Kurosaki Ichigo (Shikai)
Opponent: Abarai Renji (Shikai)
Condition: Defend yourself for 20s.
Tip: Be careful, your guard CAN break and Renji WILL
take advantage of this.
No.3: Player: Kurosaki Ichigo (Shikai)
Opponent: Zaraki Kenpachi
Condition: Land 5 individual hits.
Tip: Just hit him with a strong attack, wait for him to recover,
and repeat.
No.4: Player: Kurosaki Ichigo (Shikai)
Opponent: Kurosaki Ichigo (Inner Hollow Shikai)
Condition: Air-dash over your opponent.
Tip: He moves alot. Stay right next to him and do it when he stops.
No.5: Player: Kurosaki Ichigo (Shikai)
Opponent: Zaraki Kenpachi
Condition: Land a 5-hit combo.
Tip: Light attack x3, strong attack x2.
No.6: Player: Hitsugaya Toushiro (Shikai)
Opponent: Ichimaru Gin
Condition: Preform 3 reiatsu knock-backs.
Tip: Don't bother charging it, just get close and tap the charge
button, wait for him to catch his balance, and repeat.
No.7: Player: Abarai Renji (Shikai)
Opponent: Kuchiki Byakuya (Shikai)
Condition: Invoke bankai.
Tip: Attack your opponent or just charge your reiatsu until you
have 2 bars, then press the L button. That's all.
No.8: Player: Shihouin Yoruichi
Opponent: Soi Fon
Condition: Hit the opponent with Soul Blaze 3 times.
Tip: Soul Blaze is preformed by pressing the reiatsu button
and then the jump button in quick succession. Once this
hits the opponent, put in whatever combination of directions
and light / strong attacks you like to create the combo you'll
use while in the Soul Blaze attack.
No.9: Player: Kurosaki Ichigo (Shikai)
Opponent: Kuchiki Byakuya (Shikai)
Condition: Hit the opponent with 3 finishers.
Tip: This is especially easy since you're using Ichigo. To use this,
press reiatsu then light attack in quick succession. Note that
in order to use a finisher, you need at least 1 bar of reiatsu.
Just hit Byakuya with the resulting Getsuga Tenshou 3
times to win.

Tutorial 2nd [T2]

No.1: Player: Kurosaki Ichigo (Bankai)
Partner: Kuchiki Rukia (Shikai)
Opponent 1: Kuchiki Byakuya (Bankai)
Opponent 2: None
Condition: Tag out 3 times
Tip: Just let the meter fill, the hit L. Do this 3 times.
No.2: Player: Kurosaki Ichigo (Bankak)
Partner: Abarai Renji (Shikai)
Opponent 1: Aizen Sousuke
Opponent 2: None
Condition: Use the Striker Attack 3 times.
Tip: Let the tag meter fill up, and press R. Do this 3 times. Note that
the Striker Attack MUST connect to count.
No.3: Player: Kurosaki Ichigo (Shikai)
Partner: Kuchiki Rukia (Gigai)
Opponent 1: Hirako Shinji
Opponent 2: None
Condition: Use a quick change 3 times.
Tip: Press L + Jump three times.
No.4: Player: Inoue Orihime
Partner: Sado Yasutora
Opponent 1: Yammy
Opponent 2: None
Condition: Use a Tag Combo 3 times.
Tip: To do this, begin a combo with one character, then press L. That
character will attack and then tag out, bringing in the second
character, who you then continue the combo with. This only works
when using an Offensive-Type Tag.
No.5: Player: Kurosaki Ichigo (Bankai)
Partner: Inoue Orihime
Opponent 1: Yammy
Opponent 2: None
Condition: Use Guard Cancel 3 times.
Tip: To use Guard Cancel, block an attack, then while the "shield" is
displayed in front of you, press L. This only works when using a
Defensive-Type Tag.
No.6: Player: Shihouin Yoruichi
Partner: Inoue Orihime
Opponent 1: Yammy
Opponent 2: Ulquiorra Schiffer
Condition: Use Forced Switch 3 times.
Tip: Press L + Reiatsu. If the attack connects, you'll force your
opponent to switch out with his partner. Very helpful if you plan
to focus on killing one opponent in specific. This only works when
using a Technical-Type Tag.
No.7: Player: Kuchiki Rukia (Shikai)
Partner: Kurosaki Ichigo (Shikai)
Opponent 1: Grimmjow Jeagerjaques
Opponent 2: None
Condition: Use Team Boost.
Tip: For this fight you'll be using Offensive-Type Tag. Land lots of
combos until the guage is full and the circle on the left side
is glowing. Soul Blaze is a good way to do this. When the circle
on the left side of the guage is flashing, press L + R.
No.8: Player: Kurosaki Ichigo (Shikai)
Partner: Kuchiki Rukia (Shikai)
Opponent 1: Grimmjow Jeagerjaques
Opponent 2: None
Condition: Use W-Soul Blaze
Tip: The guage is already filled for you. Just use Soul Blaze and enter
a good long combo. If you forgot how to do Soul Blaze, it's
Reiatsu + Jump.
No.9: Player: Kurosaki Ichigo (Bankai)
Partner: Kuchiki Rukia (Shikai)
Opponent 1: Grimmjow Jeagerjaques
Opponent 2: None
Condition: Use a W-Finisher.
Tip: The guage is already filled for you. Just use a Finisher by
pressing Reiatsu + Weak Attack.

No.1: Player: Kurosaki Ichigo (Shikai)
Partner: None
Opponent 1: Sarugaki Hiyori (Vizard)
Opponent 2: Hirako Shinji (Vizard)
Condition: Win within 3 minutes.
Tip: Just hack away. Pretty straight forward. It's definitely in your
best interest to use bankai as soon as possible.
No.2: Player: Kurosaki Ichigo (Bankai)
Partner: None
Opponent 1: Grimmjow Jeagerjaques
Opponent 2: None
Condition: Finish the fight with a throw.
Tip: Nothing special about this fight. Just use a throw as the final
attack.
No.3: Player: Inoue Orihime
Partner: None
Opponent 1: Ulquiorra Schiffer
Opponent 2: None
Condition: Weak attack do no damage.
Tip: Spam Tsubaki for an easy win.
No.4: Player: Sado Yasutora
Partner: None
Opponent 1: Kurosaki Ichigo (Shikai)
Opponent 2: None
Condition: Break Ichigo's guard within 30 seconds.
Tip: Try to learn a long combo and wail on him with that.
No.5: Player: Kurosaki Ichigo (Shikai)
Partner: None
Opponent 1: Nel Tu
Opponent 2: None
Condition: Finish the fight with a throw.
Tip: I find that this stage is much easier in shikai form than in
bankai. When in shikai, use the combo weak attack x3, strong
attack x3. Nel guards alot but this combo will weaken and
eventually break her guard with ease.
No.6: Player: Kuchiki Rukia (Shikai)
Partner: Abarai Renji (Shikai)
Opponent 1: Kurosaki Ichigo (Shikai)
Opponent 2: None
Condition: Finish the battle with a Striker Attack.
Tip: Don't bother switching to Renji, just wail on Ichigo using
Rukia until he's almost dead, then press R and have Renji
finish him off.
No.7: Player: Nel Tu
Partner: None
Opponent 1: Kurosaki Ichigo (Shikai)
Opponent 2: None
Condition: Only finisher deal damage.
Tip: This one was, in my opinion, the hardest of all of the missions.
My only advice is that you knock him back with a strong attack of
your choice, then charge your reiatsu as much as you can. Don't
bother attacking otherwise, as it does no damage. Once you reach
full reiatsu, spam your finisher until you run out. If he's still
alive, repeat.
No.8: Player: Kurosaki Ichigo (Shikai)
Partner: None
Opponent 1: Dordonii Alessandro Del Socacchio
Opponent 2: None
Condition: Damage is only dealt with a 3-hit combo or greater.
Tip: You have two good choices; Soul Blaze, or a combo of
weak attack x3, strong attack x3. Your choice.
No.9: Player: Kurosaki Ichigo (Bankai)
Partner: None
Opponent 1: Dordonii Alessandro Del Socacchio
Opponent 2: None
Condition: End the fight with a Finisher.
Tip: Have at least 2 or 3 bars of reiatsu before you attempt a finisher.
If Dordonii blocks your attack, you'll have to step back and charge
up again. Also, if you're right next to him when you put on the
mask, you'll stun him and knock him into the air. Then you can
dash up under him and use your finisher on him before he hits the
ground.
No.10: Player: Uryuu Ishida (Seele Schneider)
Partner: None
Opponent 1: Cirucci Thunderwitch
Opponent 2: None
Condition: Win. (UNSURE)
Tip: Use the combo weak attack x2, strong attack x3. Your finisher also
does a great deal of damage.
No.11: Player: Sado Yasutora (Brazo Izquierda del Diablo)
Partner: None
Opponent 1: Gantenbainne Mosqueda
Opponent 2: None
Condition: Win when both players have infinite reiatsu.
Tip: You heard it! No reiatsu limit! Sado's finisher "La Muerte" is a
counter, so just stand right next to Gantenbainne and spam your
finisher.
No.12: Player: Sado Yasutora (Brazo Izquierda del Diablo)
Partner: None
Opponent 1: Nnoitra Jiruga
Opponent 2: None
Condition: Win. (UNSURE)
Tip: Nnoitra does some serious damage. Stay on the offensive so he
doesn't have time to attack you.
No.13: Player: Kuchiki Rukia (Shikai)
Partner: None
Opponent 1: Aaroniero Arruruerie
Opponent 2: None
Condition: Win. You take less damage when your reiatsu is 2 or higher.
Tip: Fill up your reiatsu as soon as possible, or you'll take a beating.
Also, your finisher "Tsugi no Mai: Hakuren" does a ton of damage.
No.14: Player: Abarai Renji (Shikai)
Partner: None
Opponent 1: Szayel Aporro Granz
Opponent 2: None
Condition: You cannot use bankai or finishers.
Tip: You don't actually have to kill him, just get him to near zero
life.
No.15: Player: Uryuu Ishida (Seele Schneider)
Partner: Abarai Renji (Shikai)
Opponent 1: Szayel Aporro Granz
Opponent 2: None
Condition: End the match with a W-Finisher.
Tip: Don't use your tag guage at all until the very end. That's the
easiest route to go. Pay attention to your reiatsu gauge and try
to keep it as high as you can.
No.16: Player: Kurosaki Ichigo (Bankai)
Partner: None
Opponent 1: Ulquiorra Schiffer
Opponent 2: None
Condition: You must have a reiatsu of 5 or more to deal damage.
Win with a finisher.
Tip: Just charge your reiatsu as fast as you can, and avoid using
finishers until the very end.
No.17: Player: Grimmjow Jeagerjaques
Partner: None
Opponent 1: Ulquiorra Schiffer
Opponent 2: None
Condition: Both players deal double damage.
Tip: Attack all out, not giving him the chance to counter. A good combo
is weak attack x2, back + weak attack, weak attack. Or if you're
feeling really cheap you can just spam forward + strong attack.
No.18: Player: Kurosaki Ichigo (Bankai)
Partner: None
Opponent 1: Grimmjow Jeagerjaques (Pantera)
Opponent 2: None
Condition: Win. (UNSURE)
Tip: Hope you don't care too much about getting an S rank on this one.
Every time you beat it, the game starts up the credit role, and
while it's true that you can skip this, when you do it takes you
back to the menu. Oh, and enjoy the music for this fight,
it freakin rules.

GALLERY MODE: This contains 5 different catagories of images that you can
unlock throughout the course of the game.
MOVIE MODE: Watch videos of combos. These can be handy if you can't come up
with any good combos on your own.
