Question for The Sims 2: Castaway

How can I get a banana package left by the chimps near a portal. Whenever I came close to the packages, I get transferred to another place. I can't put it in my inventory. I need to find the treasure map brought by the chimps. I fainted about 3 times, and they still hasn't brought me any. I think it's in the packages left near the portal. Pls help.

Unfortunately that is a bug in the game. The chimps leave the packages near the portals. Also they come with them while you are doing something and when you respond they run away and leave packages near portal. Only thing you can try is walk slowly up to the packages very slowly and try to get. If that does not work I am sorry but there is nothing you can do other than restart.

There is a solution. Make sure there is at least one other sim with you. You walk to the bundle and get it and when you click/press the button you switch to the other sim and the first sim will go and get the bundle without getting teleported.

I had to do that with my death potion thingy, two of my simms died in the temple portal thats in the secret lagoon. Took me ages to do it but go there in the end :-)
