ratholis and stuff

The indian type lady told me that I have to slay Ratholis and an other monster and I don't know how to... Can someone plz tell me where and when I can find them and tell me what is the best armour and sword and what you need to get the stuff for the sword and armour, and tell me where to find them (if you can)... And also can someone please tell me the easiest way to kill em so I am prepeared?!?!?!?! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Take to a rathalos quest: shock traps - (trap tool+genprey fang)
pitfall traps - (net+trap tool)
farcaster
flash bombs - (flash bug +bomb material)
bounce bombs
large barrel bombs
small barrel bombs
paintballs
And of course mega potions - (potion +honey)
potions - (blue mushroom+herb) make them before hand and take materials to make more if you run out.

I used devil slicer to kill him.And I used monoblos and kushala armour.
First off, aim for his tail to chop it off then break parts of his head and wings to get more rewards and carve from his tail once.
Concentrate more on getting in close and hacking away at him underneath; it's the best way because even if he does charge you etc.. You have your mega potions.

The most important thing in a quest is to make sure you protect yourself. By this I mean if you have a small amount of health, get the hell out of the area and top up your health. The monster will be there all quest haha.

The sword I used to kill a rathalos for the first time was the blango decimator. you should take flash bombs, a pitfall trap, a shock trap, 2 trap tools, 2 genprey fangs, 10 potions, 10 mega potions, 2 max potions (godbug+blue mushroom=nutrients+honey=mega nutrients+dragon toadstool=max potion), 10 bounce bombs, 5-8 tranq bombs, herbal medicines or antidotes, and life powder (godbug+wyvern fang=life crystals+wyvern claw=life powder).

He spawns in area 5, then goes to either 4 or 6, and from there he goes to area 9. Fight him for a while and then he will either go to area 10 or 4, follow him. If your health gets kinda low, use a max potion. He will go to area 5 when he is about to die.

He goes to areas 3,4,5,6(rarely), 9, and 10. If your paintball should wear off, just look in those areas. It helps if your armor has autotracker, just get 15 psychic vision skill points on your armor, use decorations if you have to.
