You can kill a monoblos by using any element except fire but ice is the best to use.

I killed it using ravager blade plus,bring sonic bombs,and gunpowder and screamers to make more,when he charges dodge it but follow him through,charge up the blade so when he turns around you smash him on the head,and when he tries to go underground use sonic bomb and his head sticks out while hes squirming,charge up the blade to the MAX then smash him,it is effective,and when he gets out he flies up before smoothly landing,as soon as he gets out the sand after hes stuck charge up the blade and you will usually hit his tail (the first time you do that you cut of his tail which you can carve 1)and when he charges try to lure him into the wall because his horn gets stuck,as always charge up your blade to the max and bash him over the head,after a couple of times of doing that his horn will break off.then you finish him off (but watch out for his tail whip attack) TIP:when he goes under ground you can see where hes going because you can see where hes going so when you see the dust coming towards you run,dodge dive whatever you do.
