Leveling Up
Characters are leveled up when you fill the XP candy wrapper meter in the corner of the screen. When you complete quests and win battles in combat you will earn XP. Some of the costumes have HP/AP bonuses and penalties which increase as the characters level up. Candy Pails also offer bonuses.
Secrets
Purchase the map of an area from Shady's Secret Shop to find out how many hidden secrets an area has and to track how many have been discovered. Unfortunately the maps do not show the location of the Secrets.
Fountain
Keep an eye out for a fountain when you come to a new area as they are very cheap and can be used to fight and heal.
Creepy Treat Cards
Make sure that you don't forget to equip any Creepy Treat Cards you collected as they offer bonuses in combat. If you don't use them they will go to waste.
Easy 'Gathering the Magic' Trophy
To earn this trophy you must at some point during the game use 10 of the 12 costumes special abilities. The dental floss robot and candy corn costumes do not have abilities to activate. To use an ability requires filling the special meter and then changing to the special attack icon.
Easy 'Breakdance Broker' Trophy
When you have obtained the Thomas Jefferson costume return to the area where the two children are posing as statues and use Thomas Jefferson's Diplomat ability on them. When you do this the children will decide to work together and you will earn the 'Breakdance Broker' trophy.
