Rogue
If you are not a team player you may want to consider the Rogue. This will give you all the stealth abilities which opens up multiple approaches and you come epquipped with the dual daggers. The biggest drawback with this though is that Rogues generally have low health and damage resistance.
Fire Caster
If you have aspirations of becoming an expert fire caster you will need to max out all of the fire skill tree to reap the benefits. Even if you decide to play the Hero you should still max out the fire spells as this is not what turns you into a demon, but the in-game choices.
Long Range Attacks
Take advantage of long range attacks by making sure you always have some crossbow bolts with you. You will find that being able to eliminate the enemy from distance will be a useful tactic.
Health
As you progress through the game the bosses will become more difficult to defeat so it is important that you increase your health whenever you can. You will also need to increse your resistance from the Warrior tree, Tough and Colossus are good options.
Dodge
It is important that you learn the attack patterns of your enemy so you know when to dodge at the right time to avoid taking damage. If you can master this and keep your character on the move you wll be able to easily flank opponents and take them out quickly.
