Each area has it's own boss and before you can open the golden doors into the final encounter you will need to beat ALL 4 of them. You will discover that some classes do better against some bosses than others.

The jukebox will let you cycle through different music tracks such as the Land of darkness theme 'Broadside of the Broadsword' and another tune titled 'The fish and the whale'. The music returns to normal upon entering a new area. The teleporter is a device that will allow you to teleport to any other previously found teleporter. There will always be one in the starting room, in front of boss doors, and generally before a section change such as thelast room in the castle before the forest. Teleporters will always appear as statues in the room that contain a chicken leg on the left and a potion on the right. If the teleporter is maroon and there are no statues, it is a random teleporter, leading to a random room in the castle.

In each castle there are Bonus rooms which are rooms with special features or objects that appear with a purple '?' icon on the map. Once the object or feature has been used you will not be able use it again for the same castle layout.

Remember that each castle includes one hidden room, which will contain two chests. You will be able to pinpoint the location of the secret room by using the special item Calypso's Compass.
