Road Not Taken Cheats and Tips

Rangers can acquire charms to alter their experience in the Forest. Charms are items that are unlocked when your Ranger levels up his releationship with a giftable person. A Ranger can only equip two charms at a time and when not used they are stored on the ground floor of his home. Below is a list of ALL the charms in the game.

In total there are 8 Permanent Objects and they are given to the Ranger by the Mayor either at certain milestones or as a reward for leveling up a relationship with a giftable character. Permanent Objects also have various effects on objects in the forest and town as well as the Ranger's abilities. Once a Permanent Object has been acquired your Ranger will retain the effect until the end of their career. Permanent Objects are displayed in the Ranger's bedroom and cannot be moved or unequipped. Below is a list of the Permanent Objects and where you can find them.

Belt of Ignorance

+1 Objects to ban (Leveling up a relationship).

Fedora of Coolness :

+1 Objects to ban (Leveling up a relationship).

Great Ranger:

Equip +1 charm (Leveling up a relationship).

Wise Ranger

Equip +1 charm (Leveling up a relationship).

The House Key:

Access to the old house (Successfully complete year one).

Silver Watch

Earn 40% more copper, start with 10% less energy (Successfully complete year five).

Gold Watch:

(Successfully complete year ten).

Worker's Forest:

Access to the deadly forest (V662 update).

Doors block access to other parts of the forest and to gain access to them you must meet the indicated requirement on the door which will be collecting a certain number of a particular item. If there is not enough of the required object in the room you will need to find them in another room and transport them back.

If you build a fire and then enchant it with a potion of Grip (this is crafted with an Ancient Mortar and a White Spirit) you will be able to pick up and throw the fire without taking damage. You will also be able to move it around with you which is particularly useful in levels that lack trees and logs.

Remember that you can create useful tools that will help you by mixing and matching trees, spirits, and other foilage and creatures of the forest.
