Cheat Codes

To enter the following cheat codes simply pause the game, go to the 'Settings' menu and press 'Triangle' to bring up the 'Cheats' interface. This will be a list of locked 'Unknown' cheats and an entry pad. If you now type in each code exactly as shown below you will unlock the corresponding effect.

Note: Press 'Triangle' a second time if the entry pad does not automatically appear after the first prompt.

Once unlocked a cheat will appear in the list and you will be able to toggle it on and off. If however you do decide to activate these cheats you will not be able to save Single-Player progress or collect Trophies for the duration of the playthrough. Therefore it is recommended that you save the game before enabling these cheats.

Note: Some cheats require you to purchase in-game newspapers before they become fully unlocked.

Infinite Ammo

Code: Abundance is the dullest desire

Requirement: Get New Hanover Gazette No.27 in Valentine during Chapter 1.

Infinite Stamina

Code: The lucky be strong evermore

Requirement: Get New Hanover Gazette No. 33 after the completing 'Urban Pleasures' mission in Chapter 4.

Get Heavy Weapons

Code: Greed is American Virtue

Requirement: Purchase newspaper after completing the 'Advertising, The New American Art' mission in Chapter 3.

Refill/Fortify Health, Stamina, Dead Eye

Code: Your flourish before you die

Requirement: Purchase newspaper after completing the 'The King's Son' mission in Chapter 6.

Show entire Red Dead Redemption Map

Code: You Long for Sight by See Nothing

Requirement: Purchase newspaper after completing the 'Blood Feuds, Ancient and Modern' mission in Chapter 3.

Set Dead Eye to Level 3

Code: I shall be better

Requirement: N/A
